Then, he raised his hand again and very kindly helped her turn off the flash and the continuous shooting setting.
By the time Wen Zhaonian finished all these actions and handed the phone back, Li Tangyan's face was already as red as if it were dripping blood.
She took the phone, and the moment she looked up, she met Wen Zhaonian's eyes, which were still moist, perhaps from being stimulated.
Li Tangyan was stunned. In that instant, she felt as if a small hook had silently tugged at her heart.
However, before she could even sigh that her vixen ancestor had seduced men again, the ancestor's next words shattered the romantic thoughts that had just arisen in Li Tangyan's mind.
"Did you study some outrageous major in college?"
"Here comes your order." The conversation between the two was finally interrupted by the waiter who brought the food.
Wen Zhaonian leaned back in her chair, her arms crossed in front of her, letting Li Tangyan direct the waiter to put the plates toward her.
Take apart the chopsticks, rinse the bowl, and pick up the food.
After Li Tangyan finished doing all these things in an orderly manner, the small bowl in front of her was already full.
She looked up at Wen Zhaonian and found that he had indeed looked away, his expression indifferent as if he was really prepared to be the unlucky guy who watched others eat and then had to pay the bill.
However, Li Tangyan didn't intend to tease him any further and simply placed the bowl in her hand directly over to Wen Zhaonian as planned.
Wen Zhaonian was taken aback by her actions.
With a slight tilt of his head, a rare hint of bewilderment appeared in his all-seeing gaze.
On the other side, Li Tangyan had her hands folded and resting on the table.
As if amused by Wen Zhaonian's reaction, she raised an eyebrow and said, "What, do you really think I'm the kind of person who always tries to take advantage of others?"
After saying that, seeing that he hadn't made any other move, Li Tangyan grabbed her chopsticks, picked up a piece of meat, and pretended to put it into Wen Zhaonian's mouth: "Or is Lawyer Wen planning to ask me to help you?"
Li Tangyan's eyebrows curved, and a hint of smugness appeared in her eyes.
When this scene came into view, Wen Zhaonian's only feeling was that the squirrel, having tasted the sweetness of success, became increasingly unscrupulous after sensing safety.
Meanwhile, the tail, with its curled fingertips, moved upwards, attempting to entwine itself in a higher territory.
When she regained consciousness, she saw Li Tangyan still looking expectant.
Her short hair, just reaching her shoulders, was fine, soft, and thick. A small tuft of hair in one side had sticked up, perhaps because of her improper sleeping posture in the car earlier, making one want to reach out and smooth it down.
His curled-up hand was finally released, and following Li Tangyan's movements, he pulled out the chopsticks and gently rubbed the rim of the bowl with his fingertips.
At the same time, her long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings: "No need for that."
The piece of meat that was originally held in her hand had somehow fallen back to its original place, but Li Tangyan had no time to notice it.
She stared blankly at her hand, which was still suspended in mid-air, her fingertips seemingly still warm from the accidental touch.
It burned her heart, followed by a strange, indescribable tingling sensation.
Her face flushed red, and the next second she withdrew her hand as if she had been electrocuted.
Then, she slightly raised her eyelids and blinked her round eyes, secretly observing Wen Zhaonian's reaction.
Li Tang breathed a sigh of relief when he lowered his eyes and looked away.
She rested her chin on her hands, then changed the subject, trying to appear normal: "That's more like it, otherwise all the information I worked so hard to get from Attorney Zheng would be wasted."
"Humans need three meals a day; you can't skip a single one."
After spending some time with him, Li Tangyan had already noticed Wen Zhaonian's bad habit of not eating three meals a day when he was busy.
Although this bad habit may not be noticeable in the short term, if left unchecked, Wen Zhaonian will eventually have to share a bed with He Yu'an at the Third Hospital.
If that's the case, then it's not worth it.
After Li Tangyan finished speaking, Wen Zhaonian noticed that nearly half of the dishes on the table were his favorites.
His hand paused, and his eyelids lifted as his gaze fell on Li Tangyan.
Li Tangyan has a small frame, so the oversized hoodie makes her look somewhat thin.
Meanwhile, the exposed wrist was fair and slender, as if a slight force would leave a mark.
And that bright, smiling face practically screamed "Praise me!"
Unconsciously, it felt as if someone had gently knocked on the door of my heart.
His Adam's apple bobbed slowly, emitting a soft, hoarse laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Li Tangyan wrinkled her nose, somewhat puzzled.
"I'm laughing at you." The man's voice was deep, and the slight smile mixed in with it reduced much of the aloofness that kept people at a distance.
"!"
Wen Zhaonian's perfunctory reply left Li Tang speechless.
Then he put down his chopsticks, and his fingertips tapped the table with a soft sound.
Her eyes were bright and clear, and she leaned back with a touch of languor.
"Tell me, how much did you bribe Zheng Chuanyi with?"
"What are you saying? If I had really bribed him, you would already be mine."
Li Tangyan was a little unconvinced. She lightly poked at the rice in her bowl with her chopsticks, and in a moment of impulse, the thought in her heart just slipped out.
"Oh?" As soon as he finished speaking, Wen Zhaonian drew out his voice.
A faint smile curved his lips, his eyes narrowed, and his scrutinizing gaze made Li Tangyan feel a flush on her face.
Unable to bear the scorching gaze any longer, she subtly scratched her temple with her index finger as if to hide her embarrassment.
