Chapter 79 A-Yan

Today, besides them, the only other people who came to the old lady's place were Ah Yan.

There weren't many people, but the old lady was worried that the young people wouldn't have enough to eat, so she went early in the morning to prepare a lot of things.

So when Li Tangyan and Wen Zhaonian followed the old lady into the house, the first thing they saw was a feast on the dining table that looked like it was Chinese New Year.

The old lady waved them over, and just then, Ah Yan, who had just arrived, walked in carrying his shoulder bag.

The boy was slender, but because he had played basketball for many years, he had grown taller in the last two years and was now almost taller than her.

He had delicate features, but his face still carried a hint of childishness.

Ah Yan put her shoulder bag aside and then walked towards the three of them.

Once he stood in front of them, he raised his hand and exclaimed "Yo!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the old lady slapped him on the back of the head.

The old lady didn't use any force at all, but she still pretended to be serious: "What 'oh'? Speak properly."

"You rude brat."

Upon hearing this, A-Yan subconsciously pursed his lips, but dared not argue back.

However, when she looked at Li Tangyan, who was hiding next to Wen Zhaonian and secretly laughing, her expression seemed somewhat resentful because of her attitude of not helping her in her time of need.

But because the old lady's urging continued, Ayan had no choice but to stand up straight.

He placed his hands on his sides and then, pretending to be serious, called out "brother" and "sister" twice.

Upon hearing this, Li Tangyan also pulled Wen Zhaonian along and, unusually, let out a "Hey!"

The painting depicted a loving sister and a filial brother, which greatly pleased the old lady.

When it was time to eat, A-Yan had already eaten a little outside beforehand, so he didn't eat much and quickly left the table to listen to the elders and finish his homework first.

However, halfway there, it was as if he remembered something.

Suddenly, she turned around and glanced at Li Tangyan: "Sis, do you still have your old textbooks? I accidentally lost mine, so I need to find another one to use for now."

When Li Tangyan was in junior high school, she stayed with the old lady, so her room is still here.

Upon hearing this, Li Tangyan didn't have time to think much. She said "Oh" and told him to rummage through the boxes under the bed. Then she turned her attention back to the dishes in front of her.

However, not long after A-Yan went up to the second floor, as the sound of the room door closing came down, Li Tangyan seemed to suddenly remember something.

In an instant, the action of putting food into Wen Zhaonian's bowl paused.

His expression then began to look a little strange.

Wen Zhaonian glanced at her from the side.

His dark eyes reflected her image, clearly noticing Li Tangyan's unusual behavior: "What's wrong?"

However, before Wen Zhaonian could finish speaking...

On the other end, before she could explain, Li Tangyan put down her chopsticks and turned to go upstairs.

As a result, in his haste, he almost stumbled and fell while going upstairs.

Seeing this, Wen Zhaonian was about to follow when he heard the old lady across from him call his name.

The old lady smiled, and seeing the fleeting tension on Wen Zhaonian's face, her smile deepened.

"It's okay, don't worry."

"Zhouzhou probably remembered that she had put her old school diaries in the box, afraid that Ayan would find them."

"Don't worry, they won't cause any trouble."

"Stay here for a moment, Grandma wants to talk to you about something."
