Chapter 73 Promise

Later, as the sun set and the sky turned a deep blue, Li Tangyan took Wen Zhaonian to a place she used to frequent.

It wasn't until the two passed a basketball court that Li Tangyan suddenly stopped.

She raised her head and glanced at the person beside her.

With a slight smile, she suddenly asked, "Wen Zhaonian, do you remember what you promised me?"

Wen Zhaonian followed her gaze and looked at the few figures still running on the court. In a daze, the scene in front of him overlapped with a memory from somewhere in his mind.

The girl's cheerful voice floated into my mind.

Hey, can you teach me how to play basketball next time?

On the other side, seeing that Wen Zhaonian had no reaction, Li Tangyan put her hands on her hips and stepped forward to block his view.

She tiptoed, a little annoyed: "Why are you daydreaming?"

"I'm asking you a question."

Hearing this, Wen Zhaonian finally looked away.

As he lowered his eyes to meet her gaze, a barely perceptible smile curved his lips.

As if on purpose, he then feigned doubt: "Really? I don't think so."

"..."

Sure enough, as soon as she finished speaking, Li Tangyan's eyes widened slightly, and she let out a soft groan as her heels touched the ground again, as if she had given up.

He then said irritably, "You said you would teach me how to play basketball."

As she spoke, she was about to take a step back to widen the distance between them to show her slight dissatisfaction, but before she could make a move, Wen Zhaonian grabbed her wrist first.

Then, with a tug, she crashed straight into Wen Zhaonian's arms, and he bent down slightly.

He turned his face to the side, and his warm breath quickly touched his fair earlobe.

"That's not right. I remember I didn't answer you back then, so it doesn't count as a promise, does it?"

Upon hearing this, Li Tangyan placed her hands on his chest and looked up into his smiling eyes, only then realizing that Wen Zhaonian had been pretending to be stupid.

At the same time, her earlobes turned red.

I don't know if it was because of the person's sudden approach, or because I felt embarrassed after the person involved exposed my little scheme.

However, Li Tangyan didn't pay too much attention to this at the moment.

Soon, she met Wen Zhaonian's smiling gaze, as if she was deliberately trying to make herself look more confident.

Li Tangyan cleared her throat and then raised her head.

He was determined to continue his act of shamelessness: "If that's the case, then it doesn't count as a refusal!"

She deliberately put on a stern face, as if to say, "If you don't give me an explanation today, I'm not going home with you."

What she saw made Wen Zhaonian want to reach out and pinch her ears, which were now redder than before, contradicting the forceful tone of her words.

However, her raised hand was grabbed in mid-air.

Li Tangyan held his hand, her knuckles curling as they intertwined, and at the same time, she let out a soft laugh.

With a sly glint in his eyes, he said, "If someone doesn't give me an explanation today, I'll have to make an appointment before I take action in the future."

"It can only be done if I agree."

Upon hearing this, Wen Zhaonian's narrow eyes narrowed slightly.

As his Adam's apple bobbed, a soft voice, tinged with a hint of inexplicable laughter, drifted over.

"What if I don't make an appointment?"

"Yellow card warning, and you are awarded a single return ticket."

"..."

In the end, Li Tangyan still didn't learn basketball from Wen Zhaonian.

It's not that he's unwilling to teach, it's just that some things still require a certain amount of talent.

So, after countless times the ball and the basket missed each other and fell to the ground, Li Tangyan, completely worn down by frustration and losing interest, chose to step back from the front line.

Just like last time, Li Tangyan sat alone in the stands, quietly watching the familiar figure below.

Occasionally, I'll take out my phone and snap a couple of photos.

As he looked at the results inside, the smile on his lips deepened.

“Ayan.”

Suddenly, a familiar male voice came from behind.

When Li Tangyan turned around, she saw that Zhao Ju was already standing not far behind her.

He had handsome features and a faint smile on his face.
