Chapter 56 A Love for Watching Plays



Li Tangyan naturally overheard Wen Zhaonian and Zheng Chuanyi's conversation.

After thinking for a moment, he got up and walked towards Wen Zhaonian without much hesitation.

She stood still in front of Wen Zhaonian, the light from behind her completely blocked, and the shadows that fell overlapped with his the moment he looked up.

Li Tangyan raised her hand, and then opened her clenched palm to reveal the beef jerky hidden inside.

The voice was soft and quickly dissipated in the noisy environment: "Do you want it?"

She looked at him, still holding something in her hand, just like when he secretly slipped her food under the table back then.

Wen Zhaonian lifted his eyelids slightly, his gaze falling on her hands, while the hand resting on his knees rubbed them almost imperceptibly.

Seeing that he didn't speak, Li Tangyan was about to say something when Zhao Ju called again.

Zhao Ju rarely calls me twice in a single day, so I guessed he must have something on his mind.

So Li Tangyan didn't wait any longer and directly put the beef jerky in her hand into Wen Zhaonian's hand.

Then she turned around, and as her hair swept through, the lime scent quickly dissipated as she walked out to answer the phone without looking back.

"Really? Then I'll go back to the car and see if I left it in the bag."

In the noisy environment, Li Tangyan, who was half-pressing her ears, unconsciously raised her voice a little when she spoke.

She didn't stop walking, only thinking about leaving, and didn't notice the ripples in Wen Zhaonian's dark eyes when Zhao Ju called.

Wen Zhaonian lowered his eyes only after Li Tangyan's figure had completely disappeared from sight.

His gaze fell on the beef jerky in his hand, and he recalled the name he had just seen on her phone, his eyes darkening.
