As she spoke, she tried to pull back again, but to no avail.
Conversely, the very next second, the last hamburger in Li Tangyan's hand was snatched away by another reaching hand.

The chair legs scraped against the ground with a sound, and Li Tangyan stood up to face Wen Zhaonian.
She slightly raised her head, her wrist still being held in mid-air: "I bought this with my own money, why are you taking it away?"
Perhaps it was the lingering frustration from home that hadn't dissipated, or perhaps it was Wen Zhaonian's cold demeanor that made Li Tangyan's nose tingle, and her voice rose slightly.
Wen Zhaonian's attention was mostly on the hamburgers piled up in front of her, so he didn't notice the expression on Li Tangyan's face.
Now the two were standing opposite each other, and only when Wen Zhaonian looked closer did he notice the lingering redness at the corners of her eyes.
Its cheeks were slightly puffed out, making it look a bit like a red-eyed rabbit.

Li Tangyan had not originally planned to have Wen Zhaonian take her back.
But before he could finish speaking, he glanced at her lightly, as if he had guessed her intentions.
The oppressive atmosphere made Li Tangyan choke back the words she was about to say.
Once he got into the car, Wen Zhaonian had already returned to his original indifferent expression.
He raised his eyes and glanced at the person fastening their seatbelt through the rearview mirror.
His thin lips parted slightly, and his husky voice was exceptionally clear in the space where only the two of them were: "Address."
Upon hearing this, Li Tangyan, who had fastened her seatbelt, leaned back, her eyelids fluttering lazily: "Let's go to whichever hotel is closest to us."

The scenery outside the car window changed several times, and we even passed right by the building next to us with the hotel's name printed on it.

The car lights and streetlights outside mingled together, and some of them reflected in and fell on him as if he were coated with a layer of soft light.
His facial features were clearly defined, and as he opened and closed his teeth, his taut jawline became even more pronounced: "My home."
Xing Mingming didn't expect that Wen Zhaonian would bring Li Tangyan back after going out.
The apple I just put in my mouth was in a dilemma – whether to bite it or not.
His gaze remained fixed on the two of them until Li Tangyan, her ears slightly red, called out "Teacher" before he snapped out of his daze.
“This…” Xing Mingming put down the apple in her hand and walked to Wen Zhaonian’s side. She was not sure about the current situation between the two of them, and it was not appropriate to speak too clearly.
But the look in his eyes clearly seemed to say:
You brought that girl back late at night, what are you trying to do?
Wen Zhaonian understood the meaning in her eyes, but he did not show the slightest embarrassment on his face.
On the contrary, as he stepped onto the stairs, his clear voice spoke slowly.
The words quickly and clearly reached the ears of Li Tangyan and Xing Mingming: "I picked it up on the way."

Li Tangyan: "???"
Since Wen Zhaonian had already taken her home, Li Tangyan didn't struggle anymore.
