Upon hearing her words, Zu'an's heart skipped a beat. He was no foolish man who couldn't understand romance, so how could he not hear the affection in her words?
Looking at the other person's stunning face, alluring and passionate eyes, and luscious red lips, Zu An could no longer resist and leaned in to kiss her.
Pei Mianman froze for a moment, but quickly softened and responded to him with enthusiasm but awkwardness.
After a long while, their lips parted. Looking at Pei Mianman, who was exuding charm in his arms, he suddenly sighed, "It seems that we are being a little unfair to Chu Yan."
It wouldn't matter if it were anyone else, but the main problem is that Pei Mianman and Chu Chuyan are best friends. I don't know how to tell her about this in the future, and Chuyan might feel betrayed if I'm not careful.
Pei Mianman rolled her eyes at him: "Didn't you two already get divorced?"
Zuan paused, then a smile appeared on his face: "Oh, that's right, let's continue then." He then reached out to kiss her again.
Pei Mianman spat out, "Pah, you scumbag!"
Zuan knew she wasn't really angry; she was just smiling at her.
Pei Mianman pushed him: "Stop fooling around, quickly help me check the injury on my shoulder."
"Okay!" Zuan unbuttoned her collar and pulled down her clothes slightly. Her skin looked even whiter and more delicate against the backdrop of bloodstains, especially the skin on her chest, which was faintly visible. He was stunned by what he saw.
"What are you looking at? I told you to look at your wound," Pei Mianman said coquettishly.
"Oh, okay." Zuan's face flushed, and he quickly composed himself to examine her, gently touching the scabs on her skin. "Your injury is basically completely healed. The reason it feels itchy is because of the scabs."
"Really?" Pei Mianman was overjoyed. "Will it leave a scar?"
"Of course not." Zuan had suffered many injuries before, but he had never been left with any scars.
"Are you sure?" Pei Mianman was still a little uneasy. "Check my back again."
As Zuan examined her back, he chuckled and said, "Don't worry, even if there are scars, I'll still want you."
"Pah, you wish! The men who want me could line up from the academy gate all the way to Dragon Hidden Mountain outside Bright Moon City," Pei Mianman said reproachfully as she pulled her clothes back up and buttoned them.
Zuan laughed heartily: "Alright, alright, let's get out of here quickly."
As if sensing that Taotie was dead, the strange snakes that had previously hidden in the shadows were beginning to emerge from the skull, and he didn't want to find himself in the predicament of fighting these strange snakes again.
Pei Mianman nodded and climbed out of his arms. As her injuries healed, she felt her condition gradually improving. Although she was still somewhat weaker than at her peak, she should be able to protect herself. Thinking of this, she was even more amazed by the magic of Zuan's medicine, and her gaze towards him became even gentler.
Zuan arrived at the hole in the wall, then suddenly turned back and collected the Taotie's corpse with the glass pearl.
Pei Mianman covered her nose and said with a look of disgust, "Why would you accept this thing?"
Zuan said, "This monster has never been seen outside. Maybe its corpse will be useful in the future."
Now his glass pearl already contains many things. I wonder if the blood from the Taotie's corpse will flow out and corrode the other things inside.
Zuan stretched out his mind to examine it and found that the Taotie corpse seemed to be stored in an independent space within the pearl, with the objects inside not disturbing each other. He then breathed a sigh of relief.
“What use is such a disgusting and ugly monster?” Pei Mianman was still annoyed when she thought about being injured by the Taotie. “By the way, the capacity of your spatial artifact is too big. It can even hold such a big monster.”
Zuan smiled slightly: "Have you forgotten that giant dragon from before? It could even fit that in, so what is this thing?" As he spoke, he showed her the glass pearl.
Pei Mianman couldn't help but sigh, "If people knew about such a spatial artifact, it would be no less powerful than your Phoenix Nirvana Sutra. You just told me about it without any precautions. Aren't you afraid that I might have evil thoughts?"
Zuan smiled slightly: "If you can't even trust the people you love, living in this world would be too tiring."
"My beloved?" Pei Mianman's heart trembled; clearly, the other person's words had deeply moved her.
At this moment, Zu'an changed the subject: "Of course, if you really have any evil thoughts about me, Da Manman, I welcome you anytime. Don't pity me just because I'm a delicate flower."
Pei Mianman responded with a flurry of playful punches: "You rascal, you can never be serious for long."
After the two finished their playful fight, they returned to the sloping cave entrance in mid-air. Looking at the slime around the walls, Zuan warned, "Be careful."
Fortunately, this stuff isn't corrosive; it's just sticky and disgusting.
"Hmm." Even without his reminder, Pei Mianman tiptoed, afraid of stepping on it. Girls naturally have a great aversion to these things.
As the two climbed up the slope, they gradually became grateful to the Taotie. Firstly, it helped them get rid of the strange snakes, and secondly, it sprinkled slime along the way to make it easier for them to climb. Otherwise, with the smooth wall and such a steep slope, it would have been quite troublesome to climb up.
After a while, the two finally emerged from the tunnel. Looking at the familiar light gray fog around them, they felt even more at home.
"We need to be careful not to fall down again." Zuan looked at the steep slope below, still feeling a bit apprehensive.
