Chapter 46 I've Fallen for Your Beauty

Chapter 46 I've Fallen for Your Beauty

Watching Lin Xi's busy figure, he really wanted to go over and ask her what she was thinking. With a rich and handsome guy like him by her side, why couldn't she take the initiative?

The lunch break was too short, and Lin Xi was worried that Song Xu would be in a hurry to get back to the company, so she made a simple bowl of noodles with soybean paste.

She placed two bowls of noodles, one large and one small, on the dining table and said, "President Song, it's time to eat."

Song Xu let out a heavy sigh, washed his hands, and sat down at the dining table, only to find a large bowl of noodles in front of him.

How perfunctory! He picked up his chopsticks and haphazardly stirred the noodles.

Lin Xi stared worriedly at Song Xu's clothes.

Song Xu noticed her gaze, stopped mixing the noodles, looked back at her, and asked in a gentler tone, "What are you looking at?"

Lin Xi awkwardly looked away and whispered a reminder: "President Song, be careful when you're mixing the noodles, so you don't get your clothes dirty."

Song Xu is wearing a white silk shirt today. It's hard to clean once it gets dirty, and if it's not clean, the shirt can't be worn anymore.

Upon hearing this, Song Xu's anger flared even more. He didn't know what he was thinking; perhaps out of spite, he put down his chopsticks and began unbuttoning his shirt.

Lin Xi stared wide-eyed and mouth agape as Song Xu unbuttoned his shirt one button at a time and then took it off from the back of the chair next to him.

Song Xu wasn't wearing anything underneath, his muscular upper body was completely exposed.

His skin was fair and smooth, and as Song Xu moved, his muscles contracted and stretched, revealing distinct muscle texture.

Lin Xi's gaze lingered on Song Xu's chest and abdominal muscles, and she unconsciously swallowed.

"Have you seen enough?" Seeing her like this, Song Xu's mood instantly improved by half. "Wipe your drool."

Lin Xi was fooled; she actually wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, only to find nothing there.

She immediately blushed and lowered her head, not daring to look around anymore.

Lin Xi cursed herself for being a lecher. Shouldn't she have immediately looked away and pretended not to see anything in this situation?

Why is she so slow to react today? It's so embarrassing.

However, Mr. Song's figure is really good, no less than that of Attorney Song.

Thinking about this, Lin Xi wanted to slap herself; how did she end up making comparisons?

I wonder what it feels like to the touch; it looks quite smooth.

Lin Xi felt like she was going crazy. She buried her head and quickly finished the noodles in her bowl, took a tissue to wipe her mouth, picked up the bowl, and went to the kitchen.

Song Xu was very satisfied with Lin Xi's reaction; this was the normal reaction a woman would have towards him—a greedy look in her eyes combined with a shy expression.

He quickly finished his noodles, picked up his large bowl, and went into the kitchen. Standing behind Lin Xi, he put the bowl into the sink.

Lin Xi tensed up, her voice trembling slightly, "There's still noodles. Are you full?"

Song Xu stood still, his bare upper body almost pressed against Lin Xi's back. "Are you full? Have you started writing your speech yet?"

"I just finished the first draft," Lin Xi licked her lips, "but I still need to revise it."

"Send it to me in a bit," Song Xu said. "I'll help you revise it."

"Okay." Lin Xi felt like her body was about to spontaneously combust. Why were they maintaining this posture and this distance when they were talking?

Song Xu didn't go too far. He left the kitchen, put his shirt back on, but didn't button it up, leaving his chest exposed.

He sat on the sofa waiting for Lin Xi.

After cleaning up the kitchen, Lin Xi turned around and met Song Xu's gaze. Her heart tightened, and she lowered her eyes. "Mr. Song, if there's nothing else, I'll go back to my room first."

Song Xu stood up and walked to Lin Xi's side. "I'll help you revise your speech on the computer."

Lin Xi found it hard to refuse Song Xu's request. She did need someone to help her, otherwise she would always feel uncertain. "Okay."

The two went into Lin Xi's room together. Lin Xi sat down in a chair, turned on her computer, and opened her speech.

She wanted to give her seat to Song Xu, but found that he bent over, put his hands on the edge of the table, and trapped her inside.

His arms are really long; even in this position, he didn't touch her at all.

"President Song, why don't you sit down and take a look?" Lin Xi suggested.

"No need, I can see like this." Song Xu took a deep breath and smelled the fragrance emanating from the girl's hair.

The scent wasn't like the shampoo at home. Song Xu asked curiously, "Did you bring your own shampoo?"

Lin Xi was taken aback, wondering why Song Xu suddenly asked this. "I still have half a bottle of shampoo left, so I brought it with me to avoid wasting it."

"It tastes good, what brand is it?" Song Xu asked casually.

Lin Xi mentioned an old domestic brand that Song Xu had never heard of before. "Is it in supermarkets? I've never heard of it."

“It’s normal that you haven’t heard of it,” Lin Xi said nervously, her voice tight. “This brand of shampoo only costs a little over ten yuan a bottle.”

She checked the brands of toiletries here, and they were all big-name imported brands, with a single bottle costing several thousand yuan. She didn't dare to use them; they were too extravagant.

Song Xu didn't continue the topic; his world and Lin Xi's world were indeed quite different.

He focused his attention on the speech on the computer screen, and after reading it, he fell silent.

This speech is vastly different from his draft from last year, with no references whatsoever; the writing skills of a liberal arts student are indeed extraordinary.

He wanted to slap himself. Where did he get the confidence to help Lin Xi revise the manuscript? How could he back down now?

Lin Xi waited for a long time but didn't hear any comments from Song Xu. She became a little insecure and turned to look at Song Xu, "Mr. Song, do you have any comments? Where do you want to change things?"

After hesitating for a while, Song Xu selected a character with the mouse and said, "This character is written incorrectly."

Upon closer inspection, Lin Xi realized it was true; she was using Pinyin input method, and it was a homophone misspelled word.

After she finished making the changes, she turned back to Song Xu and asked, "Is there anything else?"

Song Xu straightened up and shook his head. "No, it's well written. There's nothing that needs to be changed."

"Is it really possible?" Lin Xi asked Song Xu again to confirm.

Song Xu nodded. "Not only can they write such articles, but there are no more than ten people in the entire school who can do it."

Lin Xi smiled and said, "Thank you, Mr. Song. I'll send it to my teacher today."

Song Xu hummed in agreement.

After saying that, he didn't leave, but sat on the sofa and stared at Lin Xi.

Lin Xi felt uneasy under his gaze. "President Song, is there anything else?"

"Have you ever thought about why I've been helping you all this time?" Song Xu looked at Lin Xi with deep, unfathomable eyes.

Lin Xi blinked. She had also had this question in her mind. Hearing Song Xu ask this, was there some hidden reason?

"Why?" Lin Xi frowned. "I have nothing that I can be used by others."

Song Xu snorted coldly, "Didn't you ever consider that maybe I'm attracted to your good looks?"
