Lu Yunqi was shivering from the cold, huddled inside her coat. When she heard someone call her, she slowly raised her head and saw a face that was both unfamiliar and familiar.
The woman seemed unfamiliar to her, yet she looked remarkably like her, as if she were looking in a mirror.
"Who are you?" Lu Yunqi asked in a hoarse voice.
“Qiqi…” Meng Xiuwan said, crying, “I am your mother, your biological mother. It’s so good that you’re awake.”
"What's so good about it?" Lu Yunqi hated herself for not staying unconscious, even dying in a coma would be better than suffering like this. "Why did you give birth to me?"
"If you're going to have a child, have one with Lu Zhentao! Why have one with another man? You're a mistress, how dare you have an affair? Have you no shame?"
Lu Yunqi roared at Meng Xiuwan, "If you two want to die, then die yourselves! Why drag me into this? You two despicable women!"

"You lost my own sister, made her suffer so much, and locked Mom up here for eighteen years. How could you be so heartless?"
"Mom severed ties with her family to be with you. She devoted herself to you and the company, and this is the result she got. If you don't love her anymore, why don't you just let go? Why put her through all this?"
"You put me in charge of the company but didn't give me any shares. Do you want me to keep working for the Lu family, to make a name for yourself for your youngest son, and then kick me out of the Lu family, abandoning me after I've served my purpose?"

Lu Zhentao closed his eyes. He couldn't go on. His heart was aching. "Where is your mother? I want to see her."
Lu Yunzhou shook his head, "I won't let you hurt her again."
“I know you won’t believe me anymore,” Lu Zhentao sighed, “but I really just want to say a few words to your mother.”
He didn't expect Zhou Ruolan to forgive him, but he wanted to apologize to her.
“Mom probably doesn’t want to see you.” Lu Yunzhou refused Lu Zhentao’s request.
