Chapter 104: Seven Gone?
Abandoned warehouses along the Chao Phraya River in downtown Bangkok.
This is one of Jiang Kun's bases in Thailand.
On the surface, it's an old warehouse, but underneath lies a completely different world: casinos, drugs, weapons—everything you could want.
Li Hanzhou and Qi Fu observed through binoculars from the rooftop of the building opposite.
“There are twelve guards, half of them visible and half hidden,” Qi said in a low voice. “The entrance to the basement is in the southeast corner, and there’s a fingerprint lock.”
Is Jiang Kun there?
"Yes," Qi confirmed. "His car is at the entrance; he never strays too far from it."
Li Hanzhou checked his watch... It was four in the morning, the time when people are most sleepy.
"action."
The two rappelled down from the rooftop and landed silently.
Seven was in front, and Li Hanzhou was behind. Under the cover of night, they sneaked to the wall.
Qi pointed to the wind tunnel, which was a secret passage he had discovered during a previous mission.
The two crawled inside; the pipe was narrow and the walls were covered in grease.
After climbing for five minutes, light began to appear ahead.
Push open the grille; below is a storage room.
After jumping down, he took out a map he had drawn from memory.
"The casino is on the left, Jiang Kun usually stays in the VIP room. The arms are on the right, and the drugs are in the back." Seven pointed to a marker, "This is the control room. If the power goes out, the warehouse will be in chaos."
“Let’s split up,” Li Hanzhou said. “You go to the main control room, and I’ll go to the VIP room.”
“Be careful,” Qi said, looking at him. “There must be a ‘three’ and a ‘four’ by Jiang Kun’s side.”
"the same as you."
The two separated.
Seven moved stealthily along the shadows, knowing this place all too well, every blind spot, every gap in patrol, every hidden door.
He moved through the corridor like a ghost, took care of two guards, and dragged the body into the storeroom.
The main control room is on the second floor.
The two guards at the gate were dozing off.
Seven men covered from behind, one in each hand, and twisted their necks.
Upon entering, there was only one technician inside.
The technician turned around, saw Seven, and was taken aback: "Seventh Master? What brings you here—"
Before he could finish speaking, Qi's dagger was already pressed against his throat.
"Turn off the power and shut down the surveillance." Seven's voice was cold and hard. "Don't try anything funny."
The technician operated the equipment with trembling hands.
Seconds later, the warehouse went dark.
The emergency lights came on, casting a dim, yellowish glow.
A jumble of footsteps and shouts could be heard outside.
The technician was stunned, and he turned and left the control room.
According to the plan, he was supposed to meet up in the VIP room after the power outage.
But when he reached the top of the stairs, he suddenly stopped.
wrong.
Everything went too smoothly.
Would an old fox like Jiang Kun be so easily infiltrated?
Is the power supply so easily cut off?
Seven alarm bells rang in everyone's hearts.
He turned around, intending to go back and remind Li Hanzhou—
"Bang!"
A gunshot rang out.
The bullet grazed past and hit the wall.
Qi rolled over and hid behind cover. Looking up, he saw two people standing at the end of the corridor.
One man and one woman.
The man was tall, with a scar on his face and a fierce look in his eyes.
The woman was petite, dressed in leather, and carrying a silenced pistol.
"Three, four." Seven slowly stood up.
Jiang Kun's assassins, codenamed Three and Four.
“Little Seven,” the woman smiled sweetly, “I didn’t believe Master Jiang when he said you would betray us. It seems Master Jiang is always right.”
Where is he?
“We’ll talk if you die,” the man grinned.
The two pounced at the same time!
Seven times, he drew his sword to meet the challenge.
One against two, in a narrow corridor.
Three punches heavy, four spears fast, closely coordinated, every move deadly.
Seven shoulder injuries slow down movement.
A heavy punch landed on his chest, and he groaned as he staggered back, the dagger slipping from his hand.
The muzzle of the gun was pressed against his forehead.
Goodbye, Xiao Qi.
"Bang!"
A gunshot rang out.
But it wasn't Seven who fell.
With four wide-open eyes and a bloody hole in his forehead, he slowly collapsed.
Behind her, Li Hanzhou raised his gun, the muzzle still smoldering.
Three roars as they pounced on Li Hanzhou.
Seven picked up the dagger and stabbed Three in the back.
The three men froze, turned around and glared at the seven men, their eyes filled with resentment, before collapsing to the ground with a thud.
The corridor fell silent.
Li Hanzhou approached: "Are you badly injured?"
Qi shook his head, panting: "It's too smooth...something's not right..."
Before he could finish speaking, the warehouse loudspeaker suddenly blared.
Jiang Kun's hoarse laughter rang out:
"Young Master Li, Xiao Qi, welcome to my playground."
Li Hanzhou and Qi stared at each other, their expressions both grim.
“The rules are simple,” Jiang Kun continued. “I’ll be waiting for you in the VIP room. But I’ve prepared a little surprise for you along the way. If you survive, you can see me. If you die, consider it practice for my son.”
Broadcast interrupted.
Immediately, the sound of machinery whirring filled the warehouse, iron doors slammed shut, ventilation shafts closed, and gates at both ends of the corridor slowly closed.
They were trapped.
“A trap.” Qi gritted his teeth. “He knew we would come.”
Li Hanzhou looked around: "Is it still possible to get out?"
Seven shook his head: "Once the gate falls, this is the secret room. The only exit..."
He looked towards the end of the corridor, at the iron door leading to the VIP room.
"In his hands."
Li Hanzhou laughed, but his laughter was tinged with ruthlessness.
"Then let's charge in."
The corridor is not long, only fifty meters.
But those fifty meters became hell.
The first mechanism is a ground-level flap that leads to a deep pit with sharp spikes underneath.
Li Hanzhou reacted quickly, grabbing the wall and swinging over.
Seven follows closely.
The second path was punctured by a simultaneous barrage of poisoned arrows from both sides.
Densely packed, blocking the way forward.
Qi swung his clothes to block, but Li Hanzhou fired a shot that shattered the firing port, forcing his way through.
The third and most poisonous layer is a colorless neurotoxic gas that is poured down from the ceiling.
Qi smelled it and shouted urgently, "Hold your breath!"
But it was too late.
Li Hanzhou took a breath and immediately felt dizzy and numb in his limbs.
Even with anti-toxic training, the dosage was too high, making it difficult to endure for long.
"There's an antidote up ahead..." Qi gritted her teeth and pointed to a glass cabinet at the end of the corridor. "Quick..."
The two staggered forward.
There were three vials of injection in the cabinet, with a note next to them: "Choose one. Two are antidotes, one is a poison."
Gambling with your life.
Without a second thought, Li Hanzhou took one and stabbed it into his own arm, and then stabbed another into Qibi.
Luck was alright.
The paralysis in both of them gradually subsided.
"Twenty meters left." Li Hanzhou looked at the door of the VIP room. "The final hurdle."
No sooner had he finished speaking than the walls on both sides of the corridor suddenly opened.
Six fully armed guards emerged, each carrying a submachine gun.
Without a word, they opened fire.
Li Hanzhou and Qi rolled and dodged, bullets hitting the wall and splashing fire.
Gunshots rang out deafeningly in the narrow corridor.
Li Hanzhou shot and killed three people with three shots.
Qi grabbed a submachine gun and opened fire, taking down two more people.
The last man tried to escape, but was shot in the head by Qi Yi.
The corridor was filled with the smell of gunpowder and blood.
Li Hanzhou gasped for breath, a bullet had struck his shoulder, and blood was flowing freely.
Qi was also in bad shape; his leg was grazed by a stray bullet, and he staggered.
But the door to the VIP room was already in sight.
Li Hanzhou kicked the door open.
The VIP room was brightly lit.
Jiang Kun sat behind the gambling table, a glass of red wine in his hand, looking relaxed. Two bodyguards with submachine guns stood behind him.
“Welcome.” He raised his glass. “Having made it through the Corridor of Death, you deserve a drink.”
Li Hanzhou pointed his gun at him: "Jiang Kun, it's time to pay back the debts my parents owed."
"Your parents?" Jiang Kun laughed. "They'll have to beat me first."
Li Hanzhou's eyes reddened.
He pulled the trigger—
"Bang!"
The bullet hit the bulletproof glass, leaving only a white dot.
"Don't rush," Jiang Kun pressed the button, "The game isn't over yet."
The gambling table cracked open, and an iron cage rose up.
Fang Che was tied to a chair in a cage, his mouth was gagged, and he stared wide-eyed, shaking his head desperately.
"Surprised?" Jiang Kun walked to the cage. "Old Chen has been one of my men from the very beginning."
Li Hanzhou felt a chill run through his body.
“Now, lay down your weapons and kneel down to beg me,” Jiang Kun said. “Perhaps I will spare your lives.”
Li Hanzhou's finger was on the trigger, but he dared not fire. The iron cage was electrified, and the bullet might hurt Fang Che.
Seven suddenly moved.
He rushed towards Jiang Kun, as fast as lightning.
The bodyguard opened fire, and Qi rolled and dodged, overturning the gambling table and grabbing a bottle that smashed into a man's face.
He grabbed the submachine gun and knocked down two bodyguards.
Jiang Kun wanted to press another button—
Li Hanzhou shattered the button with a single shot.
"The game is over."
Jiang Kun looked at them and suddenly burst into maniacal laughter.
"The end? It's only just begun."
He ripped open his suit jacket, revealing himself covered in explosives.
"If I die, you will all be buried with me!" He pressed the remote control.
The countdown began: ten, nine, eight...
"Brother Li!" Fang Che struggled in the cage.
Li Hanzhou rushed towards the iron cage, but was electrocuted and thrown back upon touching the bars.
Five, four...
Qi lunged at Jiang Kun, grabbed his hand, and broke his fingers.
The remote control slipped from my hand.
Qi caught it, turned around and threw it with all his might toward the French window.
"Bang--"
The remote control shattered the glass and fell into the Chao Phraya River.
The countdown stopped at three seconds.
Jiang Kun was stunned.
Seven lunged at the iron cage, breaking the power cord.
Li Hanzhou pried open the door and untied Fang Che.
"It's alright now." He hugged the trembling Fang Che tightly and looked up at Qi.
Qi stood in front of the broken window, blood streaming from his shoulder.
Jiang Kun got up and raised his gun.
"I've raised you for over a decade," he said hoarsely, "and this is how you repay me?"
Seven turns.
“You’re raising a dog,” he said, “but I’m a person now.”
Jiang Kun gave a chilling laugh and pulled the trigger—
At the critical moment, Qi suddenly spoke a sentence in Thai.
Jiang Kun paused, his fingers moving slightly.
"Bang!"
A bullet came from outside the window, pierced the glass, and struck him between the eyebrows.
Jiang Kun collapsed.
On the rooftop across the street, a figure holstered his gun and waved.
Under the moonlight was Lu Che.
"Hurry up!" Lu Che's voice came through the walkie-talkie. "The warehouse self-destruct mechanism has been activated. Five minutes left!"
The three rushed out of the VIP room.
The corridor collapsed and the walls crumbled.
Qi rushed to the warehouse entrance, then suddenly stopped.
“There’s another level underground,” he said, staring at the ground, “the real hiding place of Jiang Kun…”
Before the words were even finished, the floorboards suddenly flipped over!
The deep pit was exposed, and the bottom of the pit was covered with poisonous stingers.
Li Hanzhou and Fang Che nearly fell, but Qi grabbed them, while the ground beneath her feet began to collapse.
"Walk!"
He gave them a hard push, sending them to safety.
He fell into darkness along with the rubble.
"Seventh Brother—!"
Li Hanzhou grabbed Fang Che and rolled away. In his last glance, he saw Qi's lips moving: "Protect him."
The warehouse completely collapsed.
Li Hanzhou carried Fang Che to the open ground, leaving a cloud of dust billowing behind them.
Lu Che arrived: "The search and rescue team will be here soon."
The search is difficult.
The pit has been buried, and the fate of the inhabitants is uncertain.
Fang Che knelt before the ruins, tears streaming down his face.
At daybreak, the pit was dug open, and it was empty.
"Perhaps it's buried at the very bottom," the search and rescue team leader said.
But everyone knew that the hope was slim.
