Chapter 101

Wang Celou quickly followed Mei Si out, hoping that Mei Si hadn't gone to that place.

"Do you know what happened here?" Wang Celou looked at the gleeful Mei Si with a headache, not knowing what to say.

"Yes, I know. People have died there."

"You knew that, yet you still bought it?"

Wang Ce Lou clenched his fists, and it took a lot of effort for him to suppress the urge to strangle Mei Si.

“I didn’t know at first; my neighbor told me when I came to clean the house.”

"Neighbors? Since that incident, everyone around here has moved away. Where would we get neighbors?"

Wang Ce Lou frowned as he glanced at the two houses next to him. Both doors were locked, indicating that no one lived there.

"It's the house next door. She's the murderer's sister. She came to pick up something," Mei Si said, pointing to the house next door.

"Hey, let me tell you, that woman was really hurt by her brother. She kindly lent him her house, but he fell for the woman who lived there. When his advances were rejected, and seeing how loving the couple was, he climbed over the wall in the middle of the night and killed the whole family. Everyone around her knows about it now, and nobody wants to associate with her. She's heartbroken! She's planning to sell the house..."

"Has she sold her house?" Wang Celou interrupted Mei Si directly. The more he listened, the less confident he became. How did Mei Si know so much detail? Mei Si wasn't the type to pry into these things.

“It’s sold! I bought it! It’s even cheaper than this house!” Mays said, pointing to herself.

"...Now you've not only bought the victim's house, you've also bought the murderer's house." Wang Celou closed his eyes, not wanting to see Mei Si's chubby little face for the time being, afraid he might not be able to resist taking action.

"The house belongs to that older sister, not the murderer."

Meisi corrected.

Wang Ce Lou took a deep breath, ignoring Mei Si's words, and tried to calm himself down.

"Clatter, clatter..." Mei Si saw that Wang Ce Lou had closed his eyes and knew that he was thinking about something, so she didn't want to disturb him. Out of boredom, Mei Si picked up the keychain and started fiddling with it.

As Wang Celou listened, he suddenly opened his eyes.

"What are these keys for?" Wang Celou asked, staring at the keys in Mei Si's hand.

"Oh, these are the keys to the house I bought," Mei Si said with a smile, shaking the keychain.

Wang Celou felt a tightness in his chest and almost couldn't breathe.

"Are they... all around here?"

Wang Celou sighed and asked softly.

"Leakage? How are you so amazing? How could you even guess that?"

Mei Si stared wide-eyed at Ce Lou, thinking he was simply amazing!

"Let's go back first." Wang Celou turned and walked home.

"Hey, why don't you look at the other courtyards?" Mei Si followed behind Wang Ce Lou with the keys in her hand, still hoping that Wang Ce Lou would praise her again.

"No."

When Wang Celou returned home, he sat down and began to reflect. He realized that he had neglected Mei Si because he had been preoccupied with Chu Baqi. If he had paid more attention to Mei Si, she wouldn't have been deceived.

"Why buy so many houses?" This was the only thing Wang Ce Lou couldn't understand. Mei Si wasn't the type of girl who would be greedy for cheap deals.

"It was Sister Hu who said that money shouldn't be saved but should be invested. She said the safest way to invest is to buy land, but we can't buy and sell land here, so Sister Hu suggested that I buy a house. She said that Beijing is the national capital, and buying a house here will not lose money; it will definitely make money."

“She’s right about that.” Wang Celou nodded in agreement. “However, if you buy a house there, you won’t be able to sell it for ten years.”

"Then let's wait ten years!" Mei Si said nonchalantly.

"Don't tell your family about the houses you bought."

Wang Celou thought that if the Mei family knew that Mei Si had bought a house where someone had died, they would definitely be so angry that they would fall ill.

“I’ve packed everything. When my grandma and grandpa come for Chinese New Year, I’d like them to move in right away.”

Mei Si pouted and said somewhat reluctantly.

"You can say that, but don't say anything else!" Wang Celou said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Can you tell me later?"

"You can tell me once you've sold it."

Wang Celou sighed again and looked at the worried Mei Si.

“Oh!” Meisi nodded.

Early in the morning of the 28th day of the twelfth lunar month, Wang's father drove the borrowed van with his son and Mei Si to pick up the people.

Mei Jian was extremely excited as soon as he got off the train, running around looking at everything. His mother had told him to stop several times, but he still wouldn't listen.

"Mei Jian, can't you stop embarrassing yourself? Can't you see everyone is laughing at you?" Hao Lingyu said, looking at Mei Jian who ran past her with disdain.

"My embarrassment isn't your embarrassment, what does it have to do with you?" Mei Jian rolled his eyes at Hao Lingyu.

Mei Jian felt that the only annoying thing about this trip to Kyoto was that he came with his cousin Hao Lingyu, who was really annoying!

Mei Jian: Fortunately, she left after a while.

"How is this not embarrassing for me? You're walking with me now, it's obvious you're in cahoots!" Hao Lingyu was furious with her ignorant cousin. She really regretted not going with her parents the day before yesterday. She should have known better than to be so playful!

"Then you can go ahead and leave!" Mei Jian said dismissively, curling his lip.

"You!" Hao Lingyu really wished she could leave first, but she had too much luggage and couldn't carry it all.

"Mei Jian! How dare you talk to Lingyu like that? You have no manners!" Mei's mother glared at her son, signaling him to be more patient.

"Mom, it's my sister!" Mei Jian ignored Hao Lingyu and walked quickly forward. After passing through a few people, he saw Mei Si and the others. Mei Jian quickly turned around and called out to them.

A group of people got into the car with large and small bags, and Wang's father started the car and drove home.

"Why are you carrying all this stuff?"

Mays: Do they know about my house purchase?

"Half of these things belong to her." Mei Jian raised his chin, indicating that half of the luggage belonged to Hao Lingyu.

"Mei Jian, have some manners, call me 'sister'." Mei Liang glanced at her younger brother, indicating that there were other people present.

"Auntie, can you take me to my grandma's house first?" Hao Lingyu said with a forced smile.

Hao Lingyu really didn't want to stay with her aunt's family anymore; she wanted to go to her maternal grandmother's house as soon as possible.

"Patriotism, can you send my niece over first?" When Mei's father heard Hao Lingyu's words, he also felt that it would be better to send the little girl over as soon as possible.

"Sure! Tell me the address."

After spending only a short time with Hao Lingyu, Wang's father could tell that she was a spoiled girl.

She didn't lift a finger when they were carrying the luggage into the car; she just watched from the side.
