Li Dahao slept very restlessly that night, constantly getting up to check if there was a problem with the phone line, fearing he wouldn't be able to receive the Chinese team's distress call.
Lee Dae-ho's wife was woken up several times by his antics, and finally she simply kicked him out of the bedroom and made him sleep on the sofa.
Lee Dae-ho: Didn't any of them notice that the woman is missing? Haha, the later they find out, the better. If she's crippled, it'll save us a lot of trouble!
The next morning, Li Dahao walked into the hotel where the Chinese team was staying, humming a song. When he saw Captain Liu, he smiled so broadly that his gums were showing.
Good morning, Captain Liu!
"Good morning, why are you so happy today? What's the good news?" Captain Liu looked at Li Dahao and for some reason, he had a bad feeling.
"Hahahaha! It's nothing, I just dreamt about today's weightlifting competition, and our great H country won the gold medal!" Li Dahao laughed triumphantly, as if he could already see his country's athletes standing on the highest podium.
"You... well, I wish you sweet dreams every day." Captain Liu's face turned a little pale. He thought that the other side had resorted to some despicable tricks again, but when he saw the weightlifting team members coming down from upstairs unharmed, Captain Liu immediately felt relieved and said with a forced smile.
"Haha, how could it be a dream? It will come true... You! How could you..." Li Dahao originally wanted to say that they would definitely win the gold medal today, but when he saw Mei Si coming down from upstairs, his face suddenly turned pale, as if he had seen a vengeful ghost.
"What's wrong with me?" Mei asked with a grin.
"No, it's nothing!" Lee Dae-ho wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, anxiously wanting to call Yoon Geun-seok.
"Um, my stomach hurts, I need to go to the restroom." Lee Dae-ho made up an excuse, wanting to hurry to the conference room to call Yoon Geun-seok.
"Wait!" Captain Liu suddenly called out to Li Dahao.
"Wh...what's wrong?" Li Dahao paused, turned around, and asked.
"The toilets are over there," Captain Liu said, pointing in the opposite direction.
"Ah, right, right, how did I end up here?" Li Dahao forced a smile that looked more like a grimace, nodded, and then slowly changed direction, heading towards the restroom.
"Aren't you having a stomachache? Aren't you in a hurry?" Captain Liu asked with a smile.
"Ouch! That hurts! Now that you mention it, it hurts again. I need to go right away." Li Dahao clutched his stomach and ran into the toilet.
"You guys take the team to the competition, I won't go first." After saying that, Captain Liu followed Li Dahao to the restroom.
Li Dahao lingered in the restroom for 20 minutes, then, thinking that Captain Liu and the others should have already left, he quickly came out and tried to run to the conference room.
"Dahao, you're finally out!" Captain Liu said, grabbing Li Dahao as he rushed out of the toilet.
"You... Captain Liu, what are you doing here? Didn't you go to the competition? We're running late." Li Dahao glanced at his watch and kindly reminded him.
“They’ve already set off; it’s my fault for not going today. Dahao, we’ve known each other for so long, we get along really well. Come on, let’s go together…” Captain Liu grabbed Li Dahao’s shoulder and forcibly dragged him away.
As Li Dahao walked, he kept looking back at the increasingly distant conference room. He knew that with Captain Liu watching over him, he couldn't relay any messages to Yin Genshuo.
While weighing herself, Mei Si noticed that one of the athletes from the H country team kept glaring at her.
Meiss carefully examined the woman with asymmetrical eyes and finally confirmed that she had never seen this woman with asymmetrical eyes before.
Since she didn't know her, Mei Si chose to ignore her, which infuriated Jin Min'er. In all her life, Jin Min'er had never encountered anyone who didn't take her seriously.
After weighing herself, Mei Si obediently waited to the side for her teammates to walk together.
Kim Min-ah waited a while, and then it was her turn to weigh herself. She coughed, ran her hand through her hair, and slowly stepped onto the scale.
Hearing the cough, the staff member looked up at Kim Min-ah and immediately noticed the striking green ribbon on Kim Min-ah's wrist.
The staff member nodded subtly to Kim Min-ah, and as Kim Min-ah stepped onto the scale, suddenly stepped forward and blocked the electronic scale, pretending to get close to check Kim Min-ah's weight.
Mei Si tilted her head, feeling that something was off about the two of them.
"Sisi, let's go! What are you thinking about?" A teammate patted Meisi on the shoulder and said.
“Oh, let’s go.” Mays nodded, turned and left with her teammates.
When it came to the snatch, May finally understood why the man with the mismatched eyes was glaring at her; it turned out they were competing in the same group.
When it was Kim Min-ah's turn, as soon as she stepped onto the weightlifting platform, a unified cheer suddenly erupted from the audience.
Mei Si turned to look at the audience. Hmm? These men with their arms in slings look familiar...
After completing the snatch, Kim Min-ah walked off the stage and passed by Mei Si. She rolled her eyes at Mei Si.
"Don't think that just because you've broken a few world records you can do anything. The weightlifting gold medal is definitely mine!" Kim Min-ah said arrogantly, raising her chin.
"Oh!" Mei Si nodded perfunctorily, not even glancing at Jin Min'er.
Mei Si carefully observed the men in the audience who were using crutches and cheering, and finally remembered who they were.
Jin Min'er realized that Mei Si was just giving her the runaround, and she was so angry that her hair almost stood on end. Jin Min'er followed Mei Si's gaze and found that Mei Si was looking at her brother and his useless subordinates.
"Did you see those people? If you had gone out last night, they would have torn your clothes, broken your limbs, and hurt you badly..." Jin Min'er suddenly leaned close to Mei Si's ear and said viciously.
