Chapter 20 The Divine Doctor

Chapter 20 The Divine Doctor

Lying in bed, I gritted my teeth, then suddenly gasped as the arrow in my left shoulder was pulled out.

"Ouch...ouch...it hurts so much..."

I couldn't help but scream as bright red blood gushed out. There was no anesthesia. If I hadn't been killed by that arrow last night, I'm afraid I would have died from the pain now.

"Doctor, she's in pain! She's in pain! Xiaoxiao said she's in pain!" Aman shouted anxiously.

"Your Excellency, pain... is unavoidable," the doctor said slowly and calmly.

Upon hearing this, I gritted my teeth, my eyes flashing with malice, and with a "crunch," my two rows of sharp teeth silently bit into the Mongolian doctor's wrist.

"It hurts...it hurts so much..."

That wailing sound was definitely not mine.

I slowly relented, "As the saying goes, 'Respect the elderly as you would your own parents, and care for the young as you would your own children.' Doctors have the hearts of parents, so naturally they should feel the pain of others as they would feel the pain of their own patients..."

The doctor was dumbfounded.

Guo Jia chuckled.

I grinned, showing my teeth in a show of defiance.

"Looks like... I rescued a little wolf cub that bites." Startled by my funny face, the doctor shook his head and joked.

I glared at him, but I couldn't move.

"Stop glaring, calm down. I don't want to ruin my reputation by saving a dead person," the doctor said, and then quickly bandaged my wound before I bled to death.

"Don't worry, Mr. Hua's medical skills are superb, it's nothing serious," Guo Jia said with a light laugh.

"Mr. Hua?" I raised an eyebrow. Could this guy... have some kind of background?

"Excuse me, but I am Hua Tuo, the legendary physician of our time..." the doctor said, raising his eyebrows with obvious pride.

Hua... Hua Tuo? I stammered, that... that... Hua Tuo?

I re-examined the guy in front of me, and for some reason, I found him strangely pleasing to the eye...

With delicate eyebrows and ordinary features, yet... there was a touch of gentleness in that ordinariness, and a hint of otherworldly refinement in his eyes... truly a master.

“…Master.” He chuckled a few times, then finally couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing. “I am Hua Yingxiong.”

The glorious image collapsed...

Hua... Hua Yingxiong? I thought of a character from a movie, my lips twitched a few times, and I decided to ignore this guy who was talking so heavily.

"How about it? Just hearing the name makes it sound very righteous and awe-inspiring, doesn't it?" Hua was very proud of his name.

"How is she?" Guo Jia asked, suppressing a laugh.

"Please do not question my medical skills; that would be an insult to me," Hua said righteously.

Guo Jia didn't speak, he just smiled.

After putting away the medicine box, Hua left, leaving only Guo Jia and Cao Cao in the room.

"Does it still hurt?" Aman stepped forward, sat on the edge of the bed, and asked worriedly.

I rolled my eyes helplessly. "You'll see when you try."

"Pei'er, will you stay in the Prime Minister's residence?" Guo Jia asked abruptly.

I glanced at him, considering whether I should stay.

Ah Man seemed completely unconcerned, and gently patted my hand, saying, "If you don't want to stay here, you don't have to force yourself."

I looked at him, slightly surprised. He wasn't bothering me anymore? Had he decided to let me go?

"If you don't want to stay here, I'll take you away right now." He nodded at me.

I couldn't help but close my eyes briefly; I knew it...

"You are the Prime Minister, where are you going?" I asked, feeling utterly helpless.

"I originally planned to bring the Prime Minister back to the mansion after everything was arranged, but under the current circumstances, it would be more dangerous for Brother Mengde to stay outside the mansion," Guo Jia said. "However, the matter of Brother Mengde's amnesia must not be spread, otherwise..." He frowned slightly.

Seeing his unusually serious expression, I knew how serious the situation was.

“If I leave…” I turned to look at Aman, who was staring at my wound, and instinctively didn’t want to get involved in that complicated situation.

"Where are we going?" Aman asked enthusiastically, automatically categorizing himself as "we".

I chuckled, knowing that I could never truly let him go, regardless of whether he was the current prime minister or Cao Cao. This Cao Cao was like a blank sheet of paper, and this Cao Cao made it hard for me to bear to leave him.

"If I leave, I have nowhere to go, so I might as well stay here for now," I said calmly. This was the truth; having a place to stay for the time being would allow me to make further plans later.

"Hmm," Aman nodded, "Alright, stay."

Looking at Cao Cao, I was slightly lost in thought. I would send him back to where he should have been. I wondered, if one day Cao Cao regained all his memories of Cao Cao, would Cao Cao still be the same Cao Cao?

"Since you're staying, then listen carefully to what the fortune teller has to say about things to be careful about," I said with a smile, glancing at Guo Jia. But I was surprised to find him staring blankly at me.

Guo Jia coughed lightly, came to his senses, and began to explain some important matters.

As I listened, I started to feel sleepy, and I don't know when I fell asleep, but since I was a wounded soldier, no one bothered me.

When I opened my eyes the next day, I saw a face that was only vaguely familiar to me. In this Prime Minister's mansion, the only people I knew were Cao Cao and Guo Jia. The one I only vaguely knew was Hua Yingxiong.

I opened my mouth, speechless. What should I call him? A hero? ...Just thinking about it made me feel incredibly awkward.

"The medicine is here, little wolf cub." He was holding a bowl of medicine and sitting very casually on the edge of my bed.

I still held a grudge, so I decided not to bother with this petty guy.

I tilted my head back and gulped down the bowl of dark, thick-looking herbal soup. I wiped my mouth; it was so bitter I stuck out my tongue.

Hua looked at me, smiling but saying nothing, looking just like a fox.

I started to feel uneasy.

"Is it good?" After a long while, he finally spoke, his fox-like eyes staring at the empty bowl in my hand.

I was annoyed. How could medicine taste good?! But I was determined to defy him. "It tastes good!" I said with great bravado.

“Oh…” he drawled, “As long as it tastes good, that’s fine. I was going to tell you… that bowl of medicine is for external application, not for internal use.”

I froze for half a second, then snapped out of it and glared at him angrily.

“But don’t worry, it won’t kill you,” he said with a kind smile. “The prescription is unusual, but it’s also non-toxic.”

"Strange?" How strange? I started grinding my teeth.

"Hehe, it's nothing more than some insects and herbs, I think it's called Seven Insects and Eight Herbs Ointment..." He raised his hand to support his chin as if thinking, "Or... is it called Eight Insects and Seven Herbs Ointment?"

My face had turned ashen, and I ran out the door and vomited to my heart's content.

So I learned that this guy who talks in a lot of breath and loves to brag is also incredibly petty and holds grudges!

After vomiting up all the bile, I decided to keep my distance from him.
