Chapter 106 Bai Lingyu's Feelings

Second floor.

Gu Fan ate sunflower seeds while watching the kid play PUBG.

The boy is in fourth grade and is his aunt's child.

As for my aunt and uncle, they were cooking, and my parents were with them. They could hear their conversation from the kitchen downstairs.

My maternal grandparents lived on the first floor. They each had their own rooms. I chatted with them for a while before going back to my room to rest.

The elderly person is getting old and spends most of their time in their room.

At this moment, Bai Lingyu appeared on the second floor. She was still wearing her pajamas, but her hair was tied up in a bun, revealing a tender little face.

Holding a plate of fruit, she came running over to Gu Fan.

"Hehe, cousin, have some fruit."

Bai Lingyu used a toothpick to pick up a piece of apple and offered it to Gu Fan's mouth in a flattering manner.

The latter leaned back tactically, looking at her strangely: "What are you doing? Something's not right with you."

This girl is lawless and unruly; she's either being overly solicitous or a thief.

Bai Lingyu pouted: "What's wrong with that! What's wrong with me feeding my dear cousin?"

Gu Fan looked at her suspiciously, but she looked at him with innocent big eyes, her hand still raised. Helpless, Gu Fan had no choice but to open his mouth and bite into the apple.

"Speak, what is it?"

A mischievous glint flashed in Bai Lingyu's eyes as she asked curiously, "Cousin, when did you find a girlfriend?"

She'd been curious ever since, and now that she finally had a chance to be alone, she was determined to find out more.

Gu Fan raised an eyebrow: "Why do you care about this kind of thing? Bai Lingyu, you're only in your third year of junior high. These are not things you should be involved in."

After a pause, Gu Fan frowned and looked at her: "Did you get a boyfriend at school?"

He couldn't help but suspect that although the girl was young, she was precocious, and given her personality, it was hard to say what she might be like.

Bai Lingyu rolled her eyes at him and said, "How could that be? I didn't. Besides, I don't even look down on those guys at my school. In terms of academics and looks, they're far inferior to my cousin."

Upon hearing this, Gu Fan nodded: "What you said makes some sense."

"Cousin, what's the situation with your girlfriend?" Bai Lingyu asked persistently.

Seeing her so conflicted, Gu Fan said, "She's from the same university as me, a year younger than me."

"Oh? Is she pretty? Does she have a good figure? What's her family background like?" Bai Lingyu quickly asked.

"It's alright," Gu Fan said modestly.

Bai Lingyu suddenly said with a serious expression, "Cousin, let me tell you, women outside can be very deceitful. They may seem obedient on the surface, but they are actually very cunning. I have a friend..."

Gu Fan looked at her with a twitching smile: "You understand now?"

Is this little girl trying to educate him before she's even an adult?

Bai Lingyu pouted in dissatisfaction: "I don't care, cousin, if you want to find a girlfriend, you have to pass my test first."

Gu Fan ignored her unreasonable behavior and suddenly asked, "By the way, how were your exam results this semester?"

Bai Lingyu said smugly, "Hmph, you finally asked. I got second in the class and tenth in the whole grade in the final exam."

Gu Fan was surprised: "That amazing?"

If he remembered correctly, he asked the same question at this time last year. Back then, Bai Lingyu was only in the middle to upper range of the class. He never expected her to have made such great progress.

"Hehe, isn't that amazing?" Bai Lingyu smiled smugly, affectionately hugging Gu Fan's arm: "Cousin, I did so well on the test, how are you going to reward me?"

The girl's fragrance wafted over me. She was only in her third year of junior high school, and her physical development wasn't very good yet. She was at least a few sizes...levels smaller than Jiang Yumeng.

Jiang Yumeng had done the same position to him many times, so Gu Fan didn't feel anything now, especially since the other party was his cousin.

He asked with a smile, "So, what kind of reward do you want?"

Bai Lingyu tilted her head and thought for a moment, then said, "Hmm, I want to ride on my cousin's motorcycle. Can you drive me on a trip?"

Gu Fan thought about it for a moment and realized that it wasn't an unreasonable request, so he nodded and agreed: "Okay."

"Yay! My cousin is the best!"

Not long after, their aunt came up and invited them to eat.

During the meal, Bai Lingyu sat next to Gu Fan, constantly putting food on his plate. Anyone who didn't know better would have thought the two of them were a couple.

The easygoing Mr. Gu and his uncle didn't think much of it, simply seeing it as a sign of the siblings' good relationship.

But Gu's mother and aunt were different; they were both shrewd women, and they noticed Bai Lingyu's undisguised feelings.

The two sisters exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with worry.

Bai Lingyu is relying on Gu Fan a little too much!

This was both a relief and a bad thing for them.

After dinner, Bai Lingyu was pulled back to her room by her aunt, and they talked for a while.

While Gu's father and uncle were drinking and chatting, Gu's mother came to Gu Fan's side.

"Xiao Fan, have you noticed that Xiao Yu is acting a little strange?" Gu's mother asked.

Gu Fan was taken aback for a moment, then asked, puzzled, "Mom, which aspect are you referring to?"

With a complicated expression, Gu's mother said, "That girl is being a little too intimate with you."

Gu Fan paused. He had actually noticed the problem as well, but out of humanitarian considerations, he hadn't thought about it that way. However, judging from the girl's reaction, it was indeed somewhat dangerous.

With a sigh, Gu's mother said, "At her age, she's at the point where she's starting to experience romantic feelings. You two should keep some distance, okay?"

Gu Fan nodded upon hearing this: "Mom, don't worry, I know what to do."

He smiled bitterly to himself, thinking, "What on earth is all this?!"

After an unknown amount of time, Bai Lingyu reappeared in Gu Fan's sight, but her complexion was not good; she looked aggrieved, and her eyes were red.

Upon seeing Gu Fan, she instinctively pouted, "Cousin, my mom is bullying me."

Gu Fan roughly guessed what was going on. He sighed inwardly and said, "Your aunt must have her reasons for saying that, so don't blame her."

Upon hearing this, Bai Lingyu immediately protested: "Cousin, you're not going to help me!"

Gu Fan's lips twitched: "Xiaoyu, your cousin will side with what's right, not with family."

"Hmph! I hate you! I'm ignoring you!" Bai Lingyu's eyes reddened, and she turned and went upstairs.

Gu Fan: ...

Auntie also came out of the room and said apologetically to Gu Fan, "I'm sorry, Xiao Fan, we've spoiled this girl."

Gu Fan nodded: "I understand."

After lunch, my uncle took out his fishing gear from home and invited my father to go fishing together.

There is a fishpond near their house.

Gu Fan went along too, since both elders had been drinking, and he was afraid they might accidentally fish into the water while fishing.
