Chapter 37 Be Polite

The Li family members were all gathered in the corridor, but the corridor was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

In a fit of rage, Li Muchen threw a soda can at Xiao Xinyan, but his older brother, Li Muxing, blocked it with his body.

The last bit of cola inside spilled onto Li Muxing's hoodie, soaking it.

Upon seeing this, Li Muchen's eyes flickered involuntarily, seemingly not expecting that the can he threw would hit his older brother.

Li Muxing's face darkened to an extreme. "You're really crazy!"

Li Muhao frowned and said to Li Muchen, "Second brother, the teachers at school often tell us that feudal superstitions are not to be believed! We must believe in science! Believe in materialism! How can you blame your sister for an accidental car accident?"

Li Muhan looked at Li Muchen in disbelief: "Second brother, when Aunt had the car accident, I was at home the whole time, and I didn't even know which road Aunt would take. How could she possibly curse Aunt to have a car accident?"

Li Mufeng weakly suggested to Li Muchen, "Second brother, why don't you eat something and calm down..."

Li Mushen gently patted Li Muchen's shoulder and comforted him, "Second brother, don't be anxious. You must believe that your aunt will get better. Keep thinking that good things will happen. The law of attraction still works."

Li Mujun's face also turned very ugly. She snorted coldly and said, "He has indeed gone mad. He has walked into a dead end and gotten stuck in a rut. He completely regards his sister as a bad person who will harm him. No one can persuade him. It's better to ignore him completely."

"If you really want to find someone to blame, then blame me!" Old Master Li couldn't help but say to Li Muchen.

The old man stared intently at Li Muchen with a dark expression, and said, "It was I who kicked your mother out of the Li family manor, which led to the series of events that followed. So, I am the culprit who caused your mother to end up in the ICU."

Seemingly intimidated by the aura emanating from his grandfather, Li Muchen dared not look directly into his grandfather's eyes.

But his resentment grew even stronger.

"You're all taking that little brat's side now, you don't treat my mother like family at all, I... I hate all of you!"

Li Muchen roared hysterically at the crowd.

The old man was so angry that he stood up and picked up his cane to teach Li Muchen a lesson. He never expected that the Calabash Brothers he had personally taught would do such a rebellious thing.

Seeing this, Xiao Xinyan fully woke up, quickly broke free from Zhong Jingyi's embrace, jumped to the ground, and without hesitation stood in front of Li Muchen, blocking the enraged patriarch of the Li family, pleading:

"Grandpa, don't hit Second Brother. Second Brother only did that because he was worried about Aunt. Yan Yan... Yan Yan didn't expect things to turn out like this... Perhaps it really is Yan Yan's fault."

If she had agreed to that "bald guy's" request from the beginning, perhaps it wouldn't have bullied her aunt in order to "avenge" her.

Xiao Xinyan turned to look at Li Muchen and solemnly assured him:

"Second brother, don't worry, Yan Yan will definitely do her best to restore everything to normal!"

The little girl had a pair of big, round eyes, clear and pure, without the slightest impurity.

The sweet, soft voice made Li Muchen pause for a moment, then turn to arrogance.

"Hmph! You think you can take me on?"

He rolled his eyes at Xiao Xinyan and spat, "You unlucky little brat!"

Fearing that his second son might have another episode and do something to harm Xiao Xinyan, the eldest brother, Li Muxing, quickly went over and took Xiao Xinyan's hand.

"Yanbao, ignore him. The more you pay attention to him, the more energetic he becomes. Let him calm down by himself."

The older brother took his younger sister away.

Seemingly realizing that Li Muchen would act strangely whenever his sister was around.

The hospital did not allow too many family members to stay and accompany their sister-in-law, so the Li family discussed it and decided that Liu Wanran and Zhong Jingyi, as sisters-in-law, would stay to take care of their sister-in-law.

Upon receiving the news, Li Qirui suspended all his work and is already on his way back.

Li Muchen stubbornly wanted to stay with his mother, so he stayed as well, while the others temporarily returned to the Li family manor.

The first thing she did upon returning to the Li family manor was to call her fourth uncle, Li Qichen, and ask in a childish voice, "Fourth Uncle, did that bald guy come back looking for you?"

"No! Fourth Uncle doesn't want that unlucky guy to come looking for him again." Li Qichen's tone was noticeably more relaxed, as if he were in high spirits because of a happy occasion.

Ever since that bald, unlucky guy disappeared from his life, he has clearly felt that his life has become completely new.

Only a truly wicked person would want that unlucky guy back by their side!

Hearing her fourth uncle's answer, Xiao Xinyan seemed somewhat disappointed, her voice muffled:

"Oh...I see..."

Li Qichen immediately noticed that something was wrong with his son and quickly asked, "What's wrong? Little darling, you sound very unhappy! Did that brat Li Muchen bully you again?"

"No, no... Second brother treats Yan Yan very well now and has never bullied her."

Xiao Xinyan repeatedly denied it, saying she no longer wanted to cause conflict in her family because of her.

She explained in a childish voice, "Yanyan just has some things to discuss with that bald man. Since Fourth Uncle hasn't seen him recently, Yanyan will ask someone else."

After saying that, he hung up the phone.

Since her fourth uncle didn't know the whereabouts of "Baldy," she could only ask "Baldy's" kind.

So, not long after finishing dinner, Xiao Xinyan went back to her room to sleep.

She wanted to quickly enter a dream state and then go see the Baku (dream-eating beast), perhaps that guy knew where the unlucky guy was?

However……

After Xiao Xinyan entered the dream, she did not see the dream-eating tapir as she wished, but instead saw those two strange uncles who looked like the village idiot, all covered in black.

Not long after Xiao Yanbao drifted back to sleep, she heard that voice, seemingly both near and far, as if from another world:

[Boss, is this girl some kind of psychic?!]

Xiao Yanbao frowned, and then heard another voice:

[Psychic abilities? That's fantastic! I've been searching for over a hundred years, and I've finally found such a prodigy!]

Psychic? Prodigy?

Little Yanbao seemed completely unable to understand what the two dark-skinned uncles were saying.

She firmly remembered what her mother, Zhong Jingyi, had taught her: when you see someone older than yourself, you should take the initiative to greet them.

The older ones should be called grandpa and grandma, the slightly younger ones should be called uncles and aunts, and those only a little older than oneself should be called older brothers and sisters.

When you meet someone younger than yourself, you should learn to care for and be considerate of them.

Xiao Yanbao kept all of his mother's words in mind.

Xiao Yanbao straightened his collar and politely said, "Hello, uncles."
