Chapter 16. They coaxed him in as they entered.

Chapter 16. They coaxed him in as they entered.

As the year draws to a close, Zhong Yan is actually very busy.

After Zhong Yan graduated from university, he took over the family company. His grandfather had not completely delegated power; he was just letting Zhong Yan gain experience in the company. Who knew that after taking over, Zhong Yan would completely control the company's decision-making power in less than two years.

He is capable, which is reflected in his strong abilities in all aspects. He is self-disciplined and ambitious. What his father could not do, Zhong Yan will do one by one.

It will also shut everyone in the family up.

He gets up early to hold an online meeting, then deals with work documents, and there are also some social matters, some of which require his personal review.

He tries to handle things online whenever possible, and he doesn't plan to go out today unless absolutely necessary.

Even though he had already eaten breakfast, he still had brunch with Jinhuan. Today, the aunt made morel mushroom and chicken soup, and also made a separate snow pear, almond, and white fungus soup for Jinhuan. It smelled very fragrant and tasted very good, but it wasn't very sweet.

Not too sweet is the highest compliment you can give a dessert.

When they first met, Jin Huan gave him a cake, and he said that he didn't like sweets, so such dishes never appeared on his family's dining table until Jin Huan moved in.

For Jin Huan, eating sweets is a great way to relieve stress when she's under a lot of pressure.

She was so hungry that she not only finished a whole bowl of white fungus soup, but also drank a whole bowl of soup and ate a scrambled egg toast.

There was nothing I could do; I was too exhausted last night.

After the meal, Zhong Yan, as usual, worked in his study.

Jin Huan took a nice, fragrant bath and saw the aunt changing the sheets. She belatedly realized that she was probably the one who had dirtied them, and felt so ashamed that she had the urge to snatch the sheets and wash them herself.

The first time, she was so well-prepared that she used way too much water.

At this point, she could only turn her head away and pretend she didn't know.

That would be awkward for her.

Jin Huan gently pushed open the study door to look for books.

She walked lightly to the bookshelf, remembering that Zhong Yan had taken a book here last time. His habit was to put things back in their original place. Jin Huan was very attentive to this, so she would always put the book back in its original place after reading it.

It seems to have disappeared now.

Jin Huan was still lost in thought when Zhong Yan's voice came from behind her: "Here I am."

Jin Huan turned around in response.

Jin Huan turned around and walked over. She picked up the book and couldn't help but ask, "Did you install a surveillance device in my head?"

He seemed to know everything she was thinking.

"Monitor what?" Zhong Yan looked up at her and smiled lightly, "To see how many bowls of rice you eat in one meal?"

His joking tone made Jin Huan chuckle. Even his jokes were different from others, making Jin Huan blush repeatedly. Holding the book, she muttered softly, "If anyone's going to read this, it'll be to see just how much I like you..."

Zhong Yan heard it, of course. He lowered his gaze and replied, "I will try my best to take a look."

She seemed to be dedicated to making confessions of love a daily occurrence, which made her seem really cute. Zhong Yan would certainly cherish every bit of affection, but when he couldn't reciprocate with equal love, he could only try to make up for it in other ways.

"What are your plans for today?" Zhong Yan asked her.

Jin Huan is a terrible person. Whether it's studying or living, she never makes any plans for herself. She just does whatever she wants. After all, people should live as they please.

Zhong Yan must be a very meticulous person, after all, he has those kinds of businesses that supposedly make a lot of money in minutes. Jin Huan thought for a moment and cautiously replied, "I might read some books."

If you ask her what books she plans to read or what knowledge goals she has set for herself, she can't answer. She's not that specific. After all, it's a holiday, so she can relax a little.

When this topic came up, Jin Huan became extremely respectful. Even though she was his wife, she still addressed him with the respectful title "you" repeatedly. Zhong Yan didn't rush to correct her, since she seemed to enjoy calling him that.

He pointed to the seat next to the desk: "Come over and sit down to take a look."

Jin Huan obediently took the book and sat down.

I had already read about half of this book, and today I had some time to finish it. There were notes made by Zhong Yan on the pages, and judging from the handwriting, they must have been written a long time ago, probably at least ten years ago.

Zhong Yan's handwriting hasn't changed much, but it now appears more steady and powerful. The marks of time on him are particularly evident, and his maturity is fully displayed, even in his handwriting.

Jin Huan sighed inwardly once again. He was such a mature and powerful man, and his sexual ability was also very strong. The experience was so good that her mind went blank.

Jin Huan's wild thoughts contrasted sharply with Zhong Yan's calmness, as if he wasn't the one who had been holding and coaxing someone into bed last night.

"What are you thinking about?" Zhong Yan looked up, tapped his fingers on the keyboard, and said calmly, "Trying to thoroughly understand this page of knowledge points?"

Five minutes have passed since she turned to this page, and it's still the same page. Zhong Yan wasn't particularly keen on pushing her to study, but she should correct her bad habit of staring at him while holding a book.

Jin Huan paused for a moment, then realized what he meant. She pursed her lips shyly and denied it softly, "No..."

She couldn't explain what she was thinking.

Zhong Yan: "When you're reading, you should read attentively. It's not good to be half-hearted."

Jin Huan obediently agreed, "I understand."

She held the book pages in her hand, scanning two lines of text. The book wasn't too dry; it was a classic old book about the combination of biotechnology and business models. Many of the knowledge points were new to her, and they all seemed novel to her.

She quite enjoyed reading these kinds of books, just like when she was little she liked to read a lot of strange and unusual extracurricular books. While others read Dream of the Red Chamber and Water Margin, she would read things like Xue Rengui's Expedition to the East and Xue Dingshan's Expedition to the West, even in classical Chinese, and she read them with great interest.

Jin Huan sat obediently next to Zhong Yan, her little body sitting up straight. She remembered and asked, "Will you do spot checks?"

Zhong Yan: "Will you learn even better if I give you a spot check?"

Jin Huan nodded earnestly: "Yes."

Zhong Yan responded calmly, "Then investigate."

Zhong Yan was very serious when he worked. He had a calm expression and his eyes were fixed on the screen. Occasionally, he would frown, but then relax. There was a glass of warm water next to him, and he had already drunk most of it.

The study was thus enveloped in a quiet atmosphere.

Jin Huan sat next to him, and when she had a little motivation, she became very focused. She was completely absorbed in what he was saying. Feeling a bit thirsty, she subconsciously reached out to pick up a water glass. But when she brought it to her lips, she realized that her lips had already touched the rim of the glass. She then looked at Zhong Yan apologetically.

Noticing her gaze, Zhong Yan looked up from the screen.

"May I have some?" Jin Huan asked politely.

Zhong Yan probably has mysophobia, but Jin Huan wasn't sure to what extent, since sharing a cup was already considered quite intimate.

Some people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) will be very concerned about this.

Zhong Yan replied gently, "It's alright."

With permission, Jin Huan picked up the cup and put water in her mouth. She gulped down the remaining half cup in two gulps.

Perhaps it was her imagination, but she felt that the water Zhong Yan was drinking was sweeter and more thirst-quenching, and the last bit left a lingering fragrance in her mouth. Jin Huan held the empty cup and slightly raised her chin to look at Zhong Yan in front of her.

She smiled and said, "Mr. Zhong, you are a really good person."

Being suddenly given a "friend zone" card caught me completely off guard.

Zhong Yan's gaze met hers, and seeing a gentle tear welling up in her eyes, he couldn't help but smile: "Hmm... what's so good about it?"

Well...everywhere is great...

I wonder if someone as good as him was born this way. These past few days, Jin Huan has been thinking about it and feels very lucky. Meeting Zhong Yan was a stroke of luck in itself.

Zhong Yan stared at her with interest, as if waiting for her to give an answer. Jin Huan pointed to the cup in her hand and replied seriously, "You don't mind that I share a cup with you."

That's such a childish answer.

Zhong Yan looked up from the cup and landed on her slightly pursed lips. His brows relaxed, and he smiled as he asked, "Should I be disgusted?"

Jin Huan shook her head repeatedly, her eyes crinkling.

Of course, we shouldn't look down on it.

After all, they had been intimate and sexually intimate.

Enjoy your thoughts to the fullest.

After staring at electronic screens for so long, his eyes needed a rest. Zhong Yan leaned back in his chair, rubbed his slightly sore temples, and reached out to Jin Huan.

Jin Huan was completely unaware of the reason.

Zhong Yan's voice was also tinged with fatigue, and he held out his palm in front of her: "Give me the book."

It wasn't that he was being asked to do a spot check, but after looking at it for so long, he should have figured something out. Zhong Yan took the book, flipped through a couple of pages, and saw that in the place where he had originally made notes, she was imitating his handwriting.

The girl's handwriting is delicate, and when I tried to imitate it to be more vigorous and powerful, it actually made her look even cuter.

Zhong Yan unconsciously stared at those words, the fatigue from his long work seemingly being driven away. He ran his fingers over them, a half-smile on his face, and said, "You've seen so much, huh..."

The tone was exactly the same as when he teased her yesterday, saying, "That's really amazing!" Her mind drifted back to that scene, and Jin Huan blushed instantly.

She secretly took a deep breath, trying to wash away the yellow sins with the ocean of knowledge.

Rather than simply answering questions, Zhong Yan prefers to guide her to express her views. This is probably a kind of edutainment. He is not a teacher but he has learned to teach people in this way. A person like Mr. Zhong will succeed in any industry.

Children love to be praised, and Zhong Yan remembered that. After listening to her long speech, he slowly nodded, his eyes filled with appreciation, and said in a deep voice, "Very good."

Jin Huan straightened her back unconsciously, her eyes crinkled into a happy smile, and when she heard praise, it was as if wings had sprouted from her back, fluttering back and forth, making her exceptionally cheerful and radiant.

She was laughing, and Zhong Yan leaned back in his chair, watching her laugh with his eyes slightly lowered.

He looked at her, his gaze slowly relaxing from her eyebrows to her shoulders.

I was finally feeling happy... How could anyone be so happy just because of a compliment?

.

Zhong Yan still had to go out in the afternoon.

He had originally planned to spend the whole day with her, but he simply couldn't. It was the end of the year, and he had too many things to do. Zhong Yan wanted to apologize to Jin Huan for this.

It turned out that he wasn't unemployed today; he had stayed home specifically to keep her company... Jin Huan opened her mouth slightly in surprise, wondering how Mr. Zhong could have so thoughtfully considered her feelings afterward and wanted to spend the whole day with her.

It's hard to describe my feelings right now; I have a lot of emotions.

After eating, Jin Huan went for a nap. She buried her head in the bed, covered her head with the blanket that smelled of him, and her mind was filled with the image of him holding her up on his lap and slowly entering her. Thinking about this, she quickly fell asleep.

When I woke up again around 4 p.m., there was a strong wind outside and the sky was getting dark. I got up and went downstairs for a walk.

Zhong Yan has not returned yet.

Jin Huan slipped on her slippers and went downstairs to the refrigerator to find something to eat.

She had gotten used to living in the dormitory for a while, eating either in the cafeteria or ordering takeout. Now that she's moved here, she belatedly realized that the house has a kitchen and a refrigerator. She plans to buy some food and put it in the fridge tomorrow or the day after.

The refrigerator was full of food, but there were no drinks. There was only a large bottle of milk. Jin Huan had just been sick and didn't dare to drink anything cold, so she could only pour herself a glass of warm water.

She remembered to call her aunt and ask her how to make cookies.

My aunt has been studying this for a while and is almost becoming a dessert expert. She lets Jinhuan eat the good ones and lets my uncle clean up the bad ones. Last time, she made a raisin shortbread that was delicious, and Jinhuan wanted to try it too. It's a good opportunity to let Mr. Zhong have a taste as well.

With all the simple ingredients like flour, butter, and eggs in the kitchen, Jin Huan obediently wrote down a recipe and flowchart as instructed by her aunt, and then began making her cookies.

Jin Huan rarely cooks, let alone bakes. Fortunately, this wasn't difficult. She patiently pressed each one down with her fingers, and the shapes resembled beautiful red blood cells, only they were yellow.

The oven quickly baked a tray of golden-brown, crispy bread. Jin Huan took two photos and posted them on her WeChat Moments.

Over the past few days, Jin Huan has been getting to know Zhong Yan better. She knows that although he doesn't eat sweets, he doesn't completely abstain from them. He just controls the amount he eats. Zhong Yan also has his own preferences when it comes to food. He insists that the ingredients must be fresh and of good quality. Compared to those "delicious foods" with lots of seasonings, he prefers to enjoy the natural flavor of the ingredients themselves.

What a healthy person.

It seems she'll have to be as healthy as him in the future.

Jin Huan deliberately reduced the amount of sugar in this cookie. She tasted it herself and found it less sweet. She guessed that it should be within Zhong Yan's acceptable range.

Jin Huan put the cookies in the box, then immediately cleaned up the kitchen herself. After that, she took the cookies and wandered around the house while eating them.

After wandering around for a few days, I'm quite familiar with this place. I even counted how many potted plants there are on the balcony. After all, it's my own home, and you have to be familiar with your own home to be able to count how many leaves have grown on the potted plants.

When she heard the sound of a car outside, Jin Huan immediately perked up her ears. She jogged to the stairs and, sure enough, saw Zhong Yan coming up from the basement.

He was wearing a black overcoat, and his whole body reeked of the biting cold wind outside. When he saw the girl in her pajamas and slippers waiting at the top of the stairs, Zhong Yan brushed a few drops of frost off his clothes, took two steps forward, and then stopped to ask her, "Waiting for me?"

Jin Huan nodded and said happily, "I made some cookies and saved some for you."

So that's why she was thinking of giving him food. Zhong Yan smiled and said, "Thank you."

She sniffed; he still smelled of the outside wind on him.

After being in a room with heating on for a long time, I actually crave the coolness of a cold breeze.

So Jin Huan moved closer to him, stopping just before her toes touched his. She continued to stand on tiptoe, sniffing lightly, her eyes sparkling.

Jin Huan exclaimed as if she had discovered a new continent, "Sir, I can smell your scent on me!"

I thought he was going to say something, but it turned out the puppy had just smelled something.

What an amazing discovery.

Zhong Yan looked down at her and said gently, "Jin Huan, I also smell of you."

A girl's unique fragrance emanates from her skin and doesn't come from any external source.

He discovered it as soon as he woke up in the morning.

Her scent lingered on him, clinging to his skin and reaching deep into his being.

Jin Huan let out a soft "Ah," then belatedly looked up and met Zhong Yan's gentle yet helpless gaze. She lowered her feet, suddenly appearing shorter, and blinked blankly, "Oh, right."

She was like a kitten that had just realized something.

“Jin Huan…you really are…” Zhong Yan looked at her and sighed softly, as if helpless and resigned.

"So cute..."
