First of all, I would like to thank the more than one thousand readers who have subscribed to this book. I am very grateful.
I would also like to thank all the readers who have tipped, supported, and voted for my book.
This is Meixia's first time writing an urban novel. As everyone knows, urban novels are easy to fill out and pad with words. It's not that Meixia can't fill out the word count, but rather that she doesn't want to. If Meixia were willing to switch to urban fantasy and cultivation the later part of the book, as is the mainstream approach, it would be incredibly easy. However, Meixia is still unwilling to do so.
With an average of over a thousand reads per day, most writers on Qidian would likely have written millions of words, but Meixia is unwilling to do so because it would lower the quality of her writing.
Moreover, Meixia's initial plan for this book was to write a novella, not a full-length novel, aiming for a refined feel. As a result, the book took several months to write, but the actual time in the book wasn't even a semester long; the story is very fast-paced and exciting.
Some people ask how the protagonist achieves immortality... Actually, this question is just like asking how the protagonist of a historical novel travels through time or how the protagonist of a system novel obtains the system. It's not important. What's important is the story.
The story is quite complete here; writing too much more would only diminish its charm.
Of course, the part about the Japanese violent gangs earlier was a bit too much of a cross-border issue, which is also one of the reasons... (Boss, a bowl of river crab, please!)
This book once reached 40,000 views and had an average subscription of over 1,000. It was also featured on Sanjiang and other major online platforms, so there are basically no regrets.
The only regret is that this book doesn't have a single patron... I've actually been hoping for one.
Meixia's next book will be about history. It's rare for urban fiction authors to switch to historical fiction, but Meixia isn't afraid because she wants to challenge herself and see if she can handle a different genre.
I hope all readers will not rush to remove this book from the shelves. Please look forward to news of the next book. Please have faith in Meixia's writing skills. After this period of refinement, Meixia's writing skills and ability to handle the plot will definitely become even stronger!
The next book will be a full-length novel, with the same writing style but a different kind of brilliance.
See you next season!
(If you're able, please subscribe to the entire book. Thank you!) (To be continued...)
P.S.: Actually, I posted this message a couple of days ago, but I accidentally clicked the "unlock" button... so it didn't show up. Sorry.
