"It's alright to talk about it," Duanmu Ci pondered to himself. "The involvement of arms dealers is too big a deal. If the Metropolitan Police Department or the Coast Guard happens to be watching us, the sixth-generation leader of the Shanri Group might end up in jail. So I bet the Shanri Group is going to make a move on drugs this time!"
"How can they be so confident that the drugs they secretly brought aboard will be detected by the Japan Coast Guard?" Bu Tongxun was somewhat uncertain.
The Japan Coast Guard is an administrative agency established by Japan to maintain maritime safety and security, and it is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. It specializes in combating maritime crime; if someone smuggles toxic substances from abroad into the country through a port, that undoubtedly falls under their jurisdiction.
Duanmu Ci chuckled, "Even if the Japan Coast Guard is a bunch of useless idiots who can't find anything, the Yama-Ri Group can help them find it. What's so difficult about reporting to the police as a righteous citizen, pointing out the exact location? After it's all over, just burn the phone card or simply steal a phone to report it. The police won't even know who to give the reward to."
"How wicked people can be!" Bu Tongxun said hatefully. "I never imagined that someone of Morgan's high status would do such a despicable thing!"
Duanmu Ci suddenly realized that although his housekeeper had outstanding business acumen, she was still lacking in understanding of human nature and the ways of the world, but that was more in line with her age.
"Do you think capitalists are all philanthropists?" Duanmu Ci said. "The business world is like a battlefield, where 'one general's success is built on the bones of ten thousand.' A successful capitalist may even have blood on his socks; he has walked a bloody path to get where he is."
"The United States has only been a nation for a few hundred years, but presidential assassinations are commonplace. No matter how great a president is, they all face this danger. Lincoln, Kennedy, Reagan... Were the assassins all acting alone? No, behind each of these assassins stood a group of people who used money to build their thrones. If anyone wanted to pull them down from their golden thrones, they would kill them, even their own presidents."
"And what about me?" Duanmu Ci concluded.
"Could we talk to Company F and ask them not to dock in Kobe?" Bu Tongxun suggested. "Japan's coastline is twisted like a snake, so why worry about not finding a good port? Why insist on docking in Kobe?"
Duanmu Ci shook his head. "The Yamuri Group is the largest violent gang in Japan, with tens of thousands of members. They made their living in the ports a hundred years ago. Which port in Japan is without them?"
"Besides, how are you going to discuss this with that old man Forrest? Tell him that Morgan hired the mafia to deal with us? Aren't you afraid that this will affect our cooperation? And how are you going to explain the source of the intelligence to him? Say that we have corporate spies? Of course not. So this is something we can only resolve behind closed doors."
"Japan is so far away, we can't reach them, how can we solve this? This Yama-ri group is just too arrogant!"
"How audacious!" Duanmu Ci suddenly chuckled. "They're courting death."
