Chapter Twenty-Six: Rare Club

As the sun travels along the Bird's Nest, it approaches the Valley of Sorrow, and the sky grows increasingly dark.

The Hilton Hotel, which had been bustling all day, gradually came to an end as guests departed.

Duanmu Ci declined the Tang family's offer to stay and drove home with Bu Tongxun and Aslan Hilton. Actually, Duanmu Ci was reluctant to bring Aslan home, since the Hilton Hotel was his family's property; if he didn't stay there, who would?

But Aslan insisted that he had something important to tell him, so Duanmu Ci reluctantly agreed, but he set a bottom line: one night, just one night!

Aslan, sitting in the passenger seat, was very dissatisfied with the Phaeton's mediocre style. He said earnestly, "Ci, as your most trusted friend, I have a sincere suggestion for you—you should get a new car. This car is just too ordinary! You should have a more luxurious one."

Duanmu Ci turned his head and said, "I think your Bugatti Veyron is pretty good. How about you give me one?"

Aslan turned his head to the other side. "Never mind what I said."

Sitting in the back seat, Bu Tongxun thought, "..." What a stingy American!

Duanmu Ci said, "When I called you the day before yesterday, a woman answered the phone. She said you were drunk at the swimming pool. I didn't want to ask her at the time, but what happened? How can you get drunk while swimming?"

Aslan said excitedly, "It's all Andre's fault, that spoiled brat. You know his style. The day before yesterday, he actually drained the entire swimming pool and filled it with a huge amount of champagne. He held a swimming competition, and the winner got to go on a date with the hottest supermodel from last year's Milan Fashion Week!"

"Who won in the end?"

Aslan clutched his head in frustration. "There were no winners! Nobody made it to the end, including Andrei. Everyone got drunk in the pool. If someone hadn't been watching, we would have all drowned in champagne! Oh my god! I'm never drinking champagne again!"

Duanmu Ci ignored his complaints and simply said, "The Rothschild family is really rich. Fortunately, Andre is only the youngest son and has no right to inherit the family business. Otherwise, this once 'Sixth Empire of Europe' would have gone bankrupt in the hands of this spoiled brat!"

Aslan was about to say something when he was suddenly pushed hard in the back by a force that made him swallow back the words he was about to say, and he almost bit his tongue...

"Ci! Next time you brake, can you slow down a bit? Don't you care about the passengers' feelings?" Aslan roared.

"Oh, really?" Duanmu Ci said dismissively. "Well, we've arrived at the final stop. Passengers, please get off. We can talk about anything else when we get home."

Aslan's spirits lifted immediately. "I heard you acquired Earl Rennes' winery last year? I'd love to try it!"

Duanmu Ci casually locked the car door and then said, "No, we're going to have tea."

...

...

Aslan licked his dry lips, looked at the cup of tea in front of him that was still steaming, and seriously considered whether he had made a bad choice in his friendships.

Duanmu Ci leaned back lazily on the sofa, casually draping his long, Korean-style legs across the coffee table in front of him. Any female fangirl who saw this scene would surely scream. "Lord Aslan, I suggest you wait until the tea cools down a bit before drinking it. The teacup in front of you is a precious Tang Dynasty white porcelain. If you accidentally break it, you'll have to compensate me with this Hilton Hotel in Haishan."

This is obviously a joke; no matter how precious ancient white porcelain is, it could not possibly be worth a five-star hotel.

Upon hearing this, Aslan exclaimed in amazement, "Ci, you are truly the most extravagant person I have ever seen! To use such precious artifacts to drink tea is nothing compared to Andrei's extravagance!"

In fact, Aslan only knew one side of the story. If he knew that the wine pot Duanmu Ci usually used to pour wine was a gift from Li Bai, he would probably have realized a whole new level of Duanmu Ci's extravagance...

At this moment, Bu Tongxun walked over and said, "What's so surprising about this? Aslan, you should know that for someone who even uses ancient ink from the Ming Dynasty to write, serving a mere bowl of white porcelain to guests is really nothing."

Aslan was deeply impressed by the bold spirit in those words. He felt as if he had become a country bumpkin. "Ci, is this what you Chinese call 'foundation'? It's in these details?"

Duanmu Ci said, "What you Westerners call cultural heritage probably means being able to look at a tree in a manor and say that it was planted by one of your ancestors hundreds of years ago. But the cultural heritage of us Chinese is reflected in the details of our culture and life, where every action is guided by rules."

Aslan nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite. However, Duanmu Ci wasn't there to spread Eastern culture. He asked directly, "You said you wanted to see me about something. Tell me, you're not going to tell me that your Hilton Hotel's profits are bad this year, and that I, as a major shareholder, won't get my stock dividends, are you? If that's the case, I'll kick you out."

Bu Tongxun, who was in charge of Duanmu Ci's family fortune, immediately looked at Aslan with wary eyes...

Aslan quickly waved his hand, "No, no, no, you've misunderstood! It's not that serious."

"What is it? Tell me."

Aslan took a sip of tea. "I'm actually here because of the RAR Club."

Duanmu Ci frowned.

The RAR Club is a prestigious club located in the top floor of a building somewhere in the Kingdom of Monaco. The only way to enter and exit the club is by helicopter, which flies over the building and lands on the helipad. As for stairs and elevators? Those are for waiters and champagne drinkers; the path for these important figures is in the sky.
