"Qianmo, it's too dangerous for you to go by yourself. I'll go with you." Bai Kangyan was worried about his daughter's safety.
Bai Luoyu said, "Let me go instead."
"They told me to go alone. Don't worry, Grandpa will be fine." Bai Qianmo put away her phone and got up to leave.
She suddenly remembered something, turned around and glanced at Bai Yitang. "Keep an eye on this kid, don't let him run around."
She trusted everyone else, but she was very worried about Bai Yitang.
"What...what's wrong with me? Bai Qianmo, don't look down on me."
"If you just stay home quietly, maybe I'll change my opinion of you!"
"Hmph, even if I get out, those people can't kidnap me, can they? Besides, kidnapping Grandpa can threaten you, but if they kidnap me, you'd probably be hoping they'd kill me."
Xu Hualan glared at Bai Yitang: "Don't talk nonsense. You're staying home today and you're not allowed to go anywhere."
Turning around, Xu Hualan said worriedly, "Qianmo, you must be careful."
"I know!"
Han Songyan kept staring at Bai Qianmo, her brows furrowed.
"Qianmo, those bad guys want that jade pendant. When you see them, don't provoke them. As long as they release your grandfather, you can give them the jade pendant."
“Your mother is right, these things are all external possessions.”
Bai Qianmo nodded and made a phone call to Rong Yi.
The car quickly arrived at the gate of the Bai family's old residence, and the group saw Bai Qianmo off into the car.
"Miss Bai, shall we inform Seventh Master?"
"Need not!"
Bai Qianmo glanced at Rong Yi through the rearview mirror.
They could see through the other person's thoughts at a glance.
"If he asks about it, just tell him that everything is going according to plan!"
Hearing this, Rongyi felt much more at ease.
Miss Bai is exceptionally intelligent. In all the time I've known her, I've never seen her fight a battle she wasn't confident of winning.
"OK!"
Following the address sent by the other party, the car drove all the way to the suburbs and finally stopped in a village.
The village is very quiet; there are only about a dozen households in the village.
Each house has a blue sign with white lettering hanging on its door, indicating the address: No. XX, Village XX.
She was looking for number 017. There were only two rows of houses in the village, starting from 001 and moving eastward from the village entrance.
Soon, she found number 017, a very dilapidated house.
She went up and knocked on the door. After a while, the door opened from the inside.
It was a middle-aged woman who looked like a peasant. She opened the door and cautiously looked around.
Once she was certain that Bai Qianmo was alone, her gaze returned to Bai Qianmo, and she gave her a cold once-over.
"Come in."
Bai Qianmo didn't say anything and silently followed the woman into the courtyard.
The yard was overgrown with withered grass, and the whole place exuded a desolate and dilapidated atmosphere.
It looks like this house has been uninhabited for a long time.
The woman walked ahead, opened a door, and went inside.
She turned around and looked at Bai Qianmo.
"You didn't call the police, did you?"
Bai Qianmo shook her head.
The woman gave a soft hum and clapped her hands at the empty room.
Several burly men walked out and stared at Bai Qianmo with cold eyes for a while.
"Where is my grandfather?" Bai Qianmo quickly looked around the room.
The scene here is different from the one in the photos they sent, so this is not their hiding place.
One of the men winked at the woman.
The woman understood, took out a black strip of cloth from her pocket, walked up to Bai Qianmo, and sneered: "As long as you listen to us obediently, you will soon be able to see your grandfather."
The woman tied a black cloth strip over Bai Qianmo's eyes and then took out a rope to tie Bai Qianmo's wrists from behind.
After confirming that Bai Qianmo could not see anything and had no ability to resist.
The woman reached out and shoved Bai Qianmo from behind: "Come with us!"
Bai Qianmo steadied herself and slowly walked towards the door.
As they arrived outside, a minivan was already waiting.
The car door opened, and the woman pushed Bai Qianmo into the car first. Then, several other men also got in.
Bai Qianmo slowly closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, a red light flashed in her eyes.
She glanced into the car through the black cloth strip.
The woman sat beside her, playing with a gold bracelet on her wrist. The bracelet was as thick as a thumb and shimmered with a golden light, as if it had just been bought.
"Tsk tsk, Mrs. Lin, this bracelet of yours is not cheap."
"Hehe, that's right, this bracelet costs fifty or sixty thousand."
"Which of your lovers bought it for you?" one of the men teased.
The woman glanced at the other person coldly and said, "Mind your own business. It's not like you're some poor wretch."
Bai Qianmo listened silently to their conversation; all of them spoke with accents.
They didn't seem to be from the capital, and the men didn't give off the impression of being professional bodyguards or thugs.
"This girl is really pretty."
A man who coveted Bai Qianmo's appearance couldn't help but praise her, his eyes seemingly glued to her.
The woman sneered, "This girl is a big star, she's got plenty of money. You toad, you'd better put away your wicked thoughts, she doesn't even look at you."
"Heh, now that this girl is in our hands, she's at our mercy."
"Fourth brother, don't forget why we're here!" an unpleasant male voice rang out.
Bai Qianmo remained still, but her eyes kept glancing at the person who had spoken.
