Chapter 25
Miel used the magic door to send Rocas to the church door.
He had originally planned to separate at this point, but thinking of the Holy Knights in the Church, he was afraid that he would be judged as a wanderer, so he finally took him to see the priest out of concern.
It was now 10:30 in the morning. As soon as Miel walked into the chapel, he saw Father Tyndall leading the believers in prayer.
The high elf with short, slightly curly silver-gray hair lowered his violet, melancholy eyes. In his hands, he held a book with a black cover and a golden title, but the pages were white. In his gentle voice and solemn tone, he prayed devoutly:
"Our beloved Lord."
"Your mysterious figure hides behind the stars."
"Your sacred voice pierces the gray mist."
"You weave the dreams of all beings with silk threads."
"We, the lost lambs, bow to you in our dreams and devoutly accept your guidance."
Having said this, Father Tyndall closed his eyes.
The believers in the chapel closed their eyes and prayed in unison: "Please, hear our wishes."
Then Father Tyndall opened his eyes and spoke again:
"May your silence soothe all cries of pain."
"May your depths contain all cries of regret."
"You are the protector of all living beings and the ark that carries souls to rest."
"In this world, you are the only one who truly loves the world."
"In this world, your arms are our only home."
Here he paused again, and the believers chorused again: "Praise you, our beloved Lord, and may we find rest in your dreams."
Father Tyndall closed the book with one hand and crossed himself with the other, ending his prayer.
Some believers left, while others stayed to continue praying.
Father Dindel saw Miel and others from afar and came over.
Miel looked at him with mixed feelings.
He originally thought that the priest believed in a dangerous god alone and did not preach to others, but after listening to the prayer just now, Miyer was almost certain that the priest was leading the entire church to believe in that god.
The god whose name Miel still doesn't know.
But Csulola said that Father Dindle really wanted to help him.
He believed in Cthulola, and therefore, in Dindel.
"Miel Akunila, good morning, how can I help you?" Dindel came to Miel and asked in his gentle voice.
Miel pushed Rocas forward and said, "I need to take care of something right away. Could you please take care of the child for me?"
"Kid..." Rocas protested softly, "I'm 20 years old and an adult."
At 20 years old, he was just a kid to Miel, but Rocas was a half-elf, and half-elves did become adults at the age of 20.
It's a strange feeling that the guys younger than me have already grown up, while I am still a child in the eyes of my own people.
However, even if a 20-year-old elf is considered mentally immature, he is fully mature physically.
Miel decided to become an adult early: "I am an adult too," he said.
Father Tyndall looked at him and ruthlessly poured cold water on him: "No, you are still just a child."
"You are a high elf, so of course you think so of me, but I no longer have my parents' protection, so I have to stand on my own," said Miel.
"No, you still have me," Tyndall responded. "I told you that anytime you need anything, you can come to me and I will do my best to help you."
"Are you like this to everyone, or just me?" Miel asked tentatively.
Tyndall was suspiciously silent for a moment, but eventually responded, "Everyone."
"Okay, but there are some things I have to settle personally, so you just need to help me take care of the child." Miel raised his hand and pressed on Rocas's shoulder.
Dindel stared at Miel for a moment. "I see."
He said, turning his gaze to Rocas: "Child, come with me."
Rocas looked at Dindel silently, as if trying to judge whether this man could be trusted.
In the end, he chose to trust his master's judgment and said "OK".
Miel left the church, and Csulola followed him silently.
As soon as Miel left the church, he opened a portal and teleported himself and Csulola to Akunila's mansion.
Arriving at the walls of the mansion, Csulola suddenly spoke and asked Miel this question: "Is your concern for Rocas out of sympathy or blood relationship?"
"Empathy," Miel replied.
Sympathy and empathy are just a few letters apart, but they have different meanings.
Sympathy is pity from above, and empathy is resonance of feeling the same way.
Miel's feeling towards Rocas is not "You are so pitiful, I feel sorry for you", but "You are another me, saving you is saving me."
Miel made no attempt to explain further, but Czulola said, "I understand."
Do you really understand?
Although Miel was suspicious, he didn't ask.
Because in his opinion, this was not something that Cthulola had to understand.
In comparison, there are more important things now——
"Mr. Lola, this time I plan to just force my way in. I will summon 100 tentacles at a time... no, 50 should be enough. I can't control all the tentacles, so please help me." Mier said.
"My pleasure." Csulola responded with a smile, looking in a good mood, as if she was really happy to help.
Miel had to remind him: "Pay attention, don't kill him."
"It depends on my mood."
Miel hesitated to speak, but finally decided to believe him and chanted the spell with concentration.
Spells as elegant as poetry and as mysterious as star tracks flowed continuously from his lips and teeth. Black tentacles appeared one after another around him and Cthulora, until the 50th tentacle appeared and merged with the previous 49 to form a black sea.
The sea surged under Miel, lifting his body and making him float on it like a white feather.
Miel let out a cry of surprise, unsure whether it was Cthulora's control or the tentacles' own will.
Miel's palm pressed on the huge monster under him, and he felt it was cold, smooth, and soft.
The huge monster beneath him changed its shape from time to time, like a water bed with a very thin surface.
The sensitive part was pressed tightly against the water bed. Miel said: "...Mr. Lola, can you please stop the water bed... no, can you stop the tentacles from moving around?"
Cthulola first responded with a "yes," then revealed a confused expression: "I thought humans were only sensitive to..."
"Ahem." Miel hurriedly interrupted him with a cough. Although there was no one around, it was still too difficult for him to chat about this outside.
"Sorry, it's an elf. I thought the only elves that were sensitive were..."
"Cough cough...Ah cough cough cough!" Mierzhen was choked by his own saliva, and his pretend cough turned into a real cough.
After coughing, in order to prevent Czulola from asking further questions, he was forced to say directly: "Just think of it as my body being more sensitive. Can Mr. Lola help me control it? As for the reason...we can find time to talk about it later."
"Okay." Csulola raised his hand and snapped his fingers, and the sea under Miel immediately turned into a square black lump.
Now, not only did it not move around, it even changed from liquid to solid.
"You owe me three answers now," said Cthulola.
"Three?" Miel only remembered two... the truth of desire, the sensitive part, what else?
"The question just now, what you promised me to do to you, and—you haven't told me where exactly I touched you in the study that day? And what did you do in the bathroom?"
Miel: “…”
Cthulora: "I know hunger can be relieved by eating, but how do you relieve your desires? I'm curious."
Miel: “…”
I see... Mr. Lola doesn't know.
We have guessed which parts humans and elves use to create life, but we don’t know the actual operation method?
Yes, Mr. Lola had only seen men's bodies, and his knowledge of the female body was limited to a frozen corpse.
"Well, I will answer." Miel's voice returned to calm.
He realized that in front of Czulola, he didn't need to take his dignity too seriously.
Think of Cthulora as a cat, or a giant wolfhound...
No, that would be too rude. After all, Mr. Lola is a tentacle of the great Cthulhu.
But thinking that Czulola would probably study women after studying men in order to study humans... Miel lowered his head in disappointment.
"What are you thinking about now?" Czulola must have sensed this loss, so she asked this question. "You can't answer this question?"
"No, this is fine," Miel said. "You once asked me what I would do after discovering the truth behind Boras. I answered you. But I haven't asked you what you would do after studying my body."
"I don't think about such things." Czulola answered simply, "Besides, what does this have to do with the emotion you just had?"
Miel pursed his lips and finally decided to ask in the most straightforward way: "Humans and elves have gender differences. I can't help you complete all the research... After studying me, will you find a woman to continue?"
"Good advice," Cthulola responded.
Miel regretted asking... It sounded like Czulola had no such plan before he asked this question?
However, Csulola's next words were: "I understand your concern about the loss of your research value, but don't forget that the end of our contract is your true death. Until then, you are my only research subject, and my only agent."
Miel raised his eyes to look at him: "You won't contract with anyone else during this period?"
"In fact, even if I wanted to, I couldn't do it, because I have already contracted my entire magic pool to you, and I can't contract it to anyone else."
Miel's eyes lit up.
Cthulora looked at him with interest. "Even though you know I don't even have half the power over life, you still intend to conquer me and make me your other half. Do you feel possessive of me because of this?"
Absolutely right.
But this time, Miel was not ashamed, but smiled brightly: "Mr. Lola, are you willing to be my other half? Even if it's just for show."
Maybe it wasn't a good time, or maybe it was the right time, but in any case, he was confessing his feelings.
Unlike Czulola's false confession disguised as sincerity, his confession was sincerity disguised as falsehood.
He really wanted Cthulola.
He wanted this - his source of strength, his spiritual support, his only support.
Furthermore, he desires Cthulola.
There was nothing to be ashamed of; his heart and his body longed for the other's closeness.
If it weren't for this, he wouldn't have confessed.
Not everyone is qualified to be his significant other.
Czulola did not rush to answer, but pondered for a while.
After a while, he decided: "If this is what you want, then I can try it. A closer relationship does help with deeper research."
He agreed!
He actually agreed!
Miel's smile widened. "Well, dear, let's go into Akunela's mansion, settle this with Bross, and then talk about our future."
"As you wish, my dear." Csulola bent gracefully and saluted Miel, just like she was trying to make her other half happy.
Miel watched his gentlemanly movements and listened to the intimate words he spoke in a gentle voice. The emptiness that had always existed in his heart was suddenly filled, even overflowing, with an unprecedented satisfaction.
Signing a contract with the great Cthulhu must have been the best decision he had ever made in his life.
The black block extended its tentacles and rolled Czulola onto itself. Then the upper body of the thing remained unchanged, while the lower body turned into a wave and surged towards the gate of Akunela's mansion.
Miel sat on the edge of the black block with his legs crossed, and raised his left hand during the rhythmic bumps, so that the ring on his thumb was facing the door.
The sapphire emitted a dazzling light, and the door opened with a click.
The black mount changed its shape, leaving only the part where Miel and Csulola sat still, while the rest of the mount poured into the mansion like sea water, creating high waves in the process that washed over the ceiling of the mansion.
For a moment, Miel really felt like he was sailing in a rough sea.
The difference is that this ocean is under the control of him and Cthulora.
Akunela, conquering the ocean, never expected it to be achieved in this way.
Arriving in front of Bross's study, Miel jumped down from the throne that merged with the black ocean and landed lightly on the ground.
He knocked on the door and said directly: "Bros, I know what you are doing. Open the door and let's talk."
