dark
Zhu Shiyi had never felt so desperate.
She wasn't entirely sure, but she didn't dare let her guard down.
There are still two songs in this part, so we can't stop here.
Zhu Shiyi could only remain calm, sit back in his lead vocalist position, and continue to "enjoy" being the center of attention.
Her shifty gaze subtly revealed her absent-mindedness.
After singing the two songs, Zhu Shiyi bowed slightly to announce the closing remarks, but did not stand up for a long time, still sitting on the stage with an awkward smile.
How could someone make such a huge mess?
She hadn't come for twenty days, and we even spent several hundred yuan to see her relative's aunt.
In the moments when she was immersed in the stage, in the moments when the audience applauded and cheered for her, in the moments when... she accidentally fell into the magnetic field of handsome men—
No chest pain, no abdominal pain, no swelling, no fever.
And just like that, without any warning, it came.
Although she couldn't be 100% sure, as a woman who had lived for so many years, no one was unaware of this familiar feeling.
She dared not stand up! If her dress were stained with blood and the audience saw it, she would be embarrassed for the rest of her life.
Her period ruined her shining moment.
“Shiyi, let’s go, take a break,” Cozy said as she passed by, patting her on the shoulder. “You did a great job just now. I’ve discovered that you’re particularly suited to those clean and pure songs.”
His words were sincere, and he spared no praise or appreciation.
Zhu Shiyi felt touched, but her smile was forced: "Thank you, I'll sit for a while, I'm a little tired."
Cozy looked puzzled.
He must not understand, but he reluctantly accepted it.
He nodded and stepped down from the stage.
Zhu Shiyi wanted to ask Yu Fan for help, but she couldn't find her.
All I saw was Pan Yue, still standing in the same spot.
......
She looked away, moved around, and tried to think of a solution.
I decided to stay a little longer and slip away when no one was looking.
Pan Yue looked towards the stage.
Cozy patted the little girl.
The little girl smiled at the people.
But why does that smile look so forced?
The stage was empty except for her sitting in a chair.
She seemed to try to get up for a moment, but then collapsed back down, leaving everyone puzzled.
Hesitant and awkward.
Pan Yue frowned.
He stared intently.
The girl timidly glanced around like a thief.
She suddenly sat up slightly and glanced discreetly at the chair, a faint blush appearing on her face.
One hand was constantly covering her stomach.
......
Pan Yue seemed to understand.
......
Intracranial battle.
In a flash, he strode towards the light control.
"Smack!"
The lights inside the store were dimmed.
Zhu Shiyi was startled.
A warm sensation spread across my wrist.
It carries an undeniable force.
......
The waiter stopped abruptly, as if afraid of spilling the food and drinks.
Customers exclaimed in surprise, "Hey, what's wrong? Is there a power outage?"
Three to five seconds.
The bar lights came on again.
At the entrance to the lounge stood a gentle, apologetic smile. Pan Yue bowed: "I'm sorry, I accidentally touched the light control button just now. I apologize to everyone."
After he finished speaking, he bowed deeply again.
"It's alright, handsome!" The young lady at the door was the first to smooth things over.
"Yes, it's good that nothing unexpected happened." The kind-hearted customer who was nearby even comforted Pan Yue.
It was just a minor mistake that lasted a few seconds. Besides, the lighting in the restaurant and bar was already dim, and the customers who had just finished enjoying the music wouldn't mind such a small thing.
The hall was restored to its former harmony.
......
Inside the lounge.
There is no one else here.
Pan Yue pushed open the door and entered.
Zhu Shiyi took two steps back in surprise, turned her back to the wall, crossed her hands behind her back, and gently covered her skirt, looking extremely uncomfortable.
Pan Yue lifted his eyes.
The little girl was panting, her face flushed red as if it were about to bleed.
He composed himself, took off his leather jacket, stepped forward, and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Restroom, turn right after exiting."
The girl stared blankly, seemingly forgetting to react.
He thought for a moment, then exhaled and said, "Never mind."
He casually picked up something from the fruit plate on the table.
"Wait here for me a bit."
After saying that, he opened the door and walked outside.
......
Zhu Shiyi took it blankly, his heart pounding.
Look into your palm.
It was a bright, fresh orange.
--
Pan Yue walked straight to the convenience store in the neighborhood.
He felt extremely uncomfortable, but his face still maintained an upright demeanor.
Sneaky, I made my way to the women's products section and scanned the area.
On the shelves, colorful little packages were scattered haphazardly.
Pan Yue had a big head.
They have everything: daytime use, nighttime use, and lengths ranging from two to four hundred centimeters.
He found himself in a knowledge gap. He opened his phone and searched for "how to choose sanitary napkins".
The search results are very long.
Two women passing by glanced at him with a hint of surprise and a few smiles.
......
He quickly put his phone away.
Pan Yue's face flushed, and the tips of his ears turned red.
I can't stand watching anything that comes up in the search results.
So he simply picked the most expensive and longest-looking package, gritted his teeth, and went to pay for it.
"Would you like a bag?" The cashier was very professional and didn't make any strange expressions.
"Give me one." Pan Yue picked up his phone to pay.
"It'll cost an extra 50 cents," the young woman said, tearing off a transparent plastic bag.
"Don't you have any black ones?" Pan Yue frowned.
"No, not at all," the young woman replied with an official smile.
Pan Yue: "..."
Uncle Ni, I really want to have a cigarette.
I walked out of the convenience store.
The autumn wind was chilly, and pedestrians wrapped their coats tightly around themselves, creating a stark contrast with him.
Pan Yue was only wearing a short-sleeved shirt and no jacket.
What's even more laughable is that the hem of his black T-shirt was hanging down so casually, not tucked into his waist, but directly covering his belt.
A man's stiff gait is particularly noticeable.
If it weren't for his good looks, he probably would have been mistaken for a hoodlum.
If someone observes closely, they can still discover it.
There was a small bulge on the right side of his trouser pocket.
Perhaps knowing it was abrupt, he held his hand stiffly up, and didn't even swing his arms when he walked, trying to cover it up.
At the entrance of the bar.
Lin Changren, with a disgusted expression, laughed until he cramped up: "Dude, did you not put your pants on properly when you went to the toilet?"
"Get lost." Pan Yue walked straight inside.
The lounge door opened again.
Zhu Shiyi looked up and saw that Pan Yue's clothes were disheveled.
Before I could even wonder, he closed the door with his left hand and strode over.
She instinctively shrank back.
His right hand was impatient.
...pulling out a hot potato: "...Take a look and see if this will work."
Pan Yue stretched out his hand, "Don't look at my face."
Zhu Shiyi paused when he saw the sanitary napkin in Pan Yue's hand.
You guessed right.
But why is this so awkward?
He used a 480mm night-use lens because he was afraid it would leak.
"Thank you," she said, reaching out to take it, then realizing she still had oranges in her hand. "...Do you want some?"
"..." His fingertips brushed against his palm, feeling a cool sensation. Pan Yue took the orange. "Thank you."
Two primitive people bartered, using oranges to buy sanitary napkins.
Zhu Shiyi stepped out the door.
Pan Yue still didn't look at her.
Close the door, and in the hall, amidst the clinking of glasses and the warmth of the gathering, a feeling of comfort seeps into your heart.
She hurried to the bathroom.
The amount of blood that gushed out was not much; it only stained my underwear slightly and did not soak into my skirt.
The situation is relatively favorable.
After tidying himself up, Zhu Shiyi carried Pan Yue's leather jacket back to the lounge.
Fortunately, Pan Yue is still alive.
Looking at his bare arms, Zhu Shiyi felt a little apologetic. She handed him the clothes, saying, "Thank you, you must be cold."
“It’s alright,” Pan Yue said, taking the bag. “I’m not cold.”
His attire had returned to normal; the minimalist black color scheme revealed his broad shoulders, slim waist, and long legs. He stood up, put on his coat, and returned to his factory-standard mode.
My stomach churned again.
Zhu Shiyi hurriedly covered his lower abdomen.
Dead hormones, don't let it boil!
The air was silent; I was at a loss.
......
"How's your body?" Pan Yue broke the silence first. "Can you manage to go on stage?"
“It won’t affect anything,” Zhu Shiyi waved his hand, “It won’t hurt.”
She's a good aunt.
Pan Yue nodded: "I'll go check the data."
After speaking, he turned and left.
--
Yu Fan was again the third contestant.
It was still as dazzling as ever.
This time, however, Zhu Shiyi noticed that the evil thoughts in her heart seemed to have faded a lot, and she even seemed to be thinking of leaving.
What remains is liking and appreciation.
Perhaps, there is still a sliver of longing.
Humans are indeed prone to jealousy.
But at this moment, she realized that people were simply jealous of what they wanted, could possibly have, but had not yet possessed.
She can shine too, can't she?
Zhu Shiyi smiled slightly.
......
The fourth match.
He stepped onto the stage once again.
Zhu Shiyi bowed deeply, sat down, crossed his legs, and placed the guitar steadily.
A few turns of the pegs and a few plucks of the strings, and before the melody is formed, the emotion is already there.
This song is truly a serendipitous encounter.
She smiled, her red lips parting slightly.
With lowered brows and casual hand gestures, she lightly plucked the strings.
The music of the piano was lively and flowing, and the female voice told a story in a gentle and melodious tone.
The music ended.
Unconsciously, Zhu Shiyi looked back at the original spot, in the dark corner.
Pan Yue had his head down, seemingly looking at something.
She pursed her lips.
She knew it; she was fantasizing again.
The person in the corner suddenly raised their head.
She met his eyes directly.
Pan Yue lowered his eyes, nodded, and smiled.
A silent affirmation.
As always, she was gentle and polite, yet distant.
Zhu Shiyi smiled, her eyes crinkling.
I recalled the look in his eyes earlier.
Regardless of his expression right now.
She knew that Pan Yue truly admired her from the bottom of his heart.
--
The grand event came to a perfect end, filled with laughter, high-fives, and cheers as the crowd dispersed.
Yu Fan finally had some free time. He sprawled out on the beanbag chair and called to the bartender, "Neil, before you get off work, give me an Irish coffee."
"Sister Fan, you just finished singing, and this liquor is a bit strong; it's not good for your voice," Neil shrugged, offering kind advice.
"Thank you for your concern," Yu Fan said with a smile, raising two fingers in salute. "Then you can decide for me, I really want to have a drink."
Neil received it and made Yu Fan a cup of Tequila Sunrise.
"Give me a drink too," Lin Changren chimed in.
"What would you like to drink, Mr. Lin?" Neil asked.
“Just like her.” Lin Changren glanced at Yu Fan.
He then turned to Zhu Shiyi and asked, "Shiyi, can you drink? If Neil and the others get off work late, we won't be able to drink anymore."
Zhu Shiyi stared intently at Neil's hand movements: "I don't drink alcohol."
He licked his lips again: "But I want to try it."
"Never been to a bar before?" Yu Fan asked.
Zhu Shiyi nodded.
Yu Fan smiled and said, "Good boy."
Lin Changren's expression froze.
"What would you like to drink?" Neil asked her kindly, making recommendations. "Cocktail specials? Mojito, Cuba Libre, Coconut Flavor—they're all low in alcohol and on the sweeter side. You could try them."
"Okay, okay." Just what she wanted, Zhu Shiyi nodded hurriedly.
Pan Yue gestured to Neil, who was standing next to him.
Neil was confused.
Pan Yue stepped forward and lowered his voice: "The cocktail is iced."
Zhu Shiyi was taken aback, then realized what was happening.
"Do you have any warm wine?" Zhu Shiyi asked. "I'm on my period, so I can't drink anything cold."
Pan Yue glanced at her.
Zhu Shiyi tilted his head and said softly, "Thanks for reminding me."
His speech was generous and frank.
“Stop,” Yu Fan said, reaching out his hand. “It’s best to avoid alcohol during your period.”
"I didn't know," Zhu Shiyi said, suddenly realizing something. "It's just a little bit, it's okay."
“But the hot drinks on the menu are all high in alcohol,” Neil said.
“Honey grapefruit whiskey,” Pan Yue suggested, “use less alcohol.”
Neil said tactfully, "With less whiskey, the taste might not be as good."
“It’s alright,” Zhu Shiyi chimed in. “I’m not an expert, I can’t tell the difference, I won’t ruin your reputation.”
Neil chuckled and asked, "What would you like to drink, Mr. Pan?"
"Apple juice, thank you for your hard work," Pan Yue said gently and calmly.
Zhu Shiyi: ......
Is this meme going to stick?
She began to suspect that the other party might be doing it on purpose.
"What kind of juice do you drink?" Lin Changren asked, his tone rising and falling. "Aren't you the biggest drinker?"
