Chapter 67

"Plus, you get a free snack when you buy a slingshot."

After one of the children finished the introduction, the other one was very excited and eager to try it.

Yu Yao stood aside in confusion.

Isn’t this slingshot the little gift toy that comes with snacks?

Bai Fang, who was standing next to her, pulled her closer and asked, "Are you interested?"

Yu Yao shook her head, then glanced at the two excited children beside her and nodded, "A little bit."

"These are all toys for children. I played with them when I was a kid, too. These little things are only for children." Bai Fang glanced at the small packages on the stall. "What do you want? The snacks that come with these toys are pretty delicious."

Yu Yao hesitated and found that the two children next to her were staring at her, as if they were full of curiosity about her as an adult who came to see the children's toys.

"Sister, do you also participate in team battles?"

Yu Yao was stunned for a moment, "No fight..."

"Then why did you buy this? Mom said it's for kids, and that adults will need more powerful toys to hit people with in the future."

Yu Yao glanced at the basic toys on the stall. The child was playing so cruelly. I guess adults will do more than just beat people in the future.

"Forget it, let's go first. We don't have much time to wander around anymore." Yu Yao quickly pulled Bai Fang along, "Let's go look somewhere else."

She hurriedly pulled Bai Fang away, inexplicably feeling that she could no longer keep up with the conversation among the children around here.

"The nearest place is the school, right? It's quite a big place, so we can go home after walking around for a while." Bai Fang took Yu Yao's hand, and the two of them walked along the street. She pointed in a certain direction.

Yu Yao looked through the roof of the shorter house and could see the school building not far away. It looked exactly like the whole town, a little old, but still sturdy. It was just the end of school time, and some teenagers were slowly dispersing from that direction.

"If you go in now, you can visit many places." Bai Fang smiled and curved his eyes. "I want to take you to see the place where I used to live."

Yu Yao's eyes lit up with joy. "I want to see it too! I want to visit Doctor Bai's old classroom!"

Bai Fang curled his lips slightly, nodded gently, and pulled Yu Yao in that direction, while turning back to glare at those people who were hiding hints and ready to make a move.

The two of them slowly walked to the school gate among a group of teenagers who were leaving school.

The outside of the school is as dilapidated as the streets in this area. The doorposts, walls and ground all have some signs of damage and a lot of them have fallen off. It can be seen that they are often hit by heavy objects. There are also some messy graffiti on the ground. It is a strange mess, but it is very clean and there is no garbage on the ground.

The whole area has the same feeling, messy, old and dilapidated, but it is quite clean and at first glance it looks like a nice town.

There were still many students who had not left the school at this time. They were chatting in groups of two or three on the playground, or playing unknown games. Occasionally, one or two adults who looked like teachers passed by the playground, staring at the students who were still playing in the school.

At dusk, the orange light splashed on the playground full of people after school. The students running back and forth, as well as the old teaching buildings, gave it the feeling of an ordinary school.

"Let's go to the teaching building. I haven't been back for a long time. I wonder if the old classroom has changed." Bai Fang pulled her towards the teaching building.

After they came in, many people noticed them, but most of them just looked at them and ignored them.

The two of them arrived at the teaching building smoothly. Many classrooms were empty, and the few classrooms that did still have students, some of whom were poor students who had been left behind by the teachers to receive extra lessons.

When passing by the classroom, Yu Yao curiously stood at the window and peeked in, wanting to see what was being taught in this school.

In the classroom, the teacher, who looked serious and holding a book, was furious. "How many times have I told you?! Under what circumstances can you use a knife?! You can use a knife in a legitimate confrontation with someone without any consequences."

"You're being victimized! If the other person pulls out a knife first, you're acting in self-defense! I've told you so many times, this is a test point, don't you understand?"

The confused expressions of the students below were exactly the same as Yu Yao's outside.

This content...what subject is this?

"Does your school teach this?" Yu Yao turned to Bai Fang and asked in confusion.

Bai Fang nodded, "There's also some legal knowledge. The more you know, the more flexible you'll be in handling things."

Yu Yao looked confused.

"Who are those two outside?! They are sneaking around there. Don't stay in school after school, do you know?" The teacher inside was getting angry with the students. He turned around and saw the two people whispering outside. He ran out angrily, ready to grab the students and teach them a lesson.

When the teacher saw the two people outside the door, he was stunned. He stared at Bai Fang in thought for a few seconds. His irritable expression gradually subsided and he became submissive. "Boss Bai? When did you come back? How come you have time to visit the school?"

Bai Fang smiled calmly and nodded, as if they were old classmates who hadn't seen each other for a long time. "I just came back today and came to visit the school. Are you a teacher there now?"

"Well, yes, the school is still the same, and the students are similar to us before." The teacher nodded, looking quite respectful towards Bai Fang.

"Just wanted to introduce her to you." Bai Fang pulled Yu Yao, who was standing beside him, "This is... your sister-in-law."

"Huh?" The teacher was stunned for a moment. He stared blankly at Yu Yao, looking her up and down. His expression wrinkled into a ball. He looked at Bai Fang in disbelief, then at Yu Yao again and again. He said hesitantly, "Boss? Have you finally come to terms with yourself? Have you figured out that you're not a woman at all?"

Bai Fang smiled slightly, but he didn't seem so kind.

"Hello." Yu Yao took the initiative to greet him, a little reserved. "I came back with Doctor Bai to visit her mother. I came to see the school out of curiosity. Sorry to bother you."

The teacher's heart skipped a beat.

The eldest boss’s woman, the daughter-in-law recognized by the eldest aunt, must be the treasure of both of them.

"Hello, sister-in-law! You are so pretty, no wonder our boss liked you. You must be one in a million. It is my honor to meet you." The teacher excitedly prepared to shake hands with Yu Yao to get closer to her.

Before his hand could touch it, Bai Fang slapped it away.

"You must be very busy. There are students waiting for you inside." Bai Fang said with a smile, implying that he should go back quickly.

"Um... yes, I really can't lead this class of students. I have to go back and continue. Take care, boss." The teacher nodded and was sent back to the classroom by Bai Fang.

"That was my former classmate, right?" Bai Fang calmly pulled Yu Yao forward, "My old classroom was right here in front. I wonder if anyone's still there at this hour."

She took two steps forward and quietly peeked into the classroom from the door. It was empty, with only tables and chairs but no one in sight. They must have left.

"Fortunately, no one is here. Let's just take a quick look and go back." Bai Fang pulled her into the classroom and scanned the entire classroom. The blackboard and the table were covered with some inexplicable graffiti, which looked messy, but the entire classroom was cleaned very cleanly. There was not a trace of dust on the floor or the table.

"Is this Dr. Bai's former classroom?" Yu Yao was very excited. Feeling the learning atmosphere all around, she happily walked around the classroom, peeked out of the window, looked at the duty roster, and looked at the graffiti on the blackboard. She was full of curiosity about the entire classroom.

"Where did Doctor Bai sit before?" Yu Yao scanned the entire classroom.

"I used to be an average student, and my seat was pretty far back, at the very edge of the second to last row." Bai Fang raised his hand and pointed.

Yu Yao immediately ran over happily, sat in that seat, and began to look around, imagining her classmates, teachers, and courses, as if she could feel what Bai Fang felt when he sat there.

"It feels so good." Yu Yao sat on the chair, swinging her legs and touching the tabletop with various words carved on it with her fingers.

"What's so good about it? This table and chair has been used by many people. It's not mine alone." Bai Fang sat in the front row in front of her indifferently, staring at Yu Yao sideways.

She was lying on the table, carefully searching for something among the pile of densely packed texts, very focused and serious.

"What are you looking at?" Bai Fang also lowered his head slightly, moved closer to the table, moved his gaze to the table, and searched with her.

"I'm looking to see if Dr. Bai's name is on it. When we were students, many people liked to carve their names on the desk or write something on it. Maybe Dr. Bai's name is on it." Yu Yao answered seriously.

"My name?... I don't quite remember whether it was written or not." Bai Fang supported his chin and sighed softly. At that time, his daily life was filled with other things, and he didn't remember such things. He was not even sure if it was this table. Maybe the table was changed later.

But seeing Yu Yao searching so seriously and excitedly, she didn't want to disturb her interest, so she could only sit there and watch Yu Yao searching on the table.

It feels a bit strange to see someone I like sitting in my old seat after many years. My heart feels warm and satisfied.

The evening light poured in from the window and fell on Yu Yao's hair. She lowered her head seriously, without blinking. The light outlined the side of her cheek, slanted onto her eyelashes, and fell into her eyes. It was very similar to her usual excited and happy state, but the picture was very calm.

The whole person was wrapped in the beautiful sunset, and a happy smile suddenly appeared on his fair cheeks. He looked up suddenly, and the light in his eyes was as bright and dazzling as a smile.

"I found it! I found your name!"

Bai Fang felt as if a string in his heart was plucked, a heart-pounding feeling.
