Yan Lirong sneered sarcastically, "However, smart people often have short lives. Guess how long you can live?"
Yan Lirong released his hand, slowly stood up, and paced two steps in front of Yan Meng. "Wait another two hours, and the cruise ship carrying the containers will arrive at the port. The cruise ship will sail on the sea for a month and then arrive in Europe to be unloaded."
Yan Lirong surveyed the interior of the container and asked seriously, "Once this container is closed, it's airtight. There's no light, no oxygen, no water, and no food. Guess how many days you can last here?"
Fear grew in my heart. Yan Lirong was going to fake an accident and let Yan Meng suffocate to death here!
Yan Meng's face showed no sign of panic. He smiled contemptuously, resting the back of his head against the wall of the box, and calmly asked, "Are you sure, absolutely sure, that you can kill me?"
This series of emphatic words made Yan Lirong pause, and a hint of hesitation flashed across his determined expression.
But he quickly returned to normal and warned him coldly, "Stop playing tricks! No one knows where you are except me. This time, you can't escape even if you have wings!"
After saying that, he tore off a new piece of tape and sealed Yan Meng's mouth tightly.
"Just wait here and die!"
He snorted coldly and raised his hand to turn off the flashlight.
I quickly moved away and watched Yan Lirong walk out of the container, close the door and lock it, then drive away, kicking up a cloud of dust.
I then walked out, took off the hairpin on my head, and poked the lock of the container a few times.
Fortunately, when I was investigating Tang Jun, I taught myself how to pick locks. The lock on this container was a very ordinary one, and I easily pried it open in the blink of an eye.
I used all my strength to open the door of the container. The dim light from the dock shone in, allowing me to barely see Yan Meng inside.
When Yan Meng saw me, his face was full of surprise.
The next second, his eyes suddenly widened in fear, and he struggled with "mumbling", as if he wanted to say something to me.
"Don't be afraid, I'll take you away from here right now." I walked towards him and took out my cell phone to tell Li Tao our location.
"Mmmm!" Yan Meng seemed to be crazy, shaking his head at me desperately and twisting on the ground in excitement.
I pulled off the tape on his mouth and was about to comfort him when I heard his hoarse voice yelling—
"Danger, be careful!"
My heart skipped a beat and I instinctively turned around, only to see Yan Lirong standing behind me.
He had a ferocious expression on his face and swung the stick which landed on my head unexpectedly.
The next second, I felt a sharp pain on the top of my head, my vision went black, and I completely lost consciousness.
I don't know how long I was unconscious or what I experienced.
When I woke up, everything around me was unfamiliar and I felt dizzy.
I raised my hand and subconsciously touched the top of my head. The pain made me shudder and I didn't dare touch it again.
After Yan Lirong hit me with that stick, my head must have swollen up a lot.
I looked around. This was a very unfamiliar room.
I was shocked. I got out? I didn't fall into Yan Lirong's hands?
Where's Yan Meng?!
I was shocked and then trembled again, fearing that he had been harmed by Yan Lirong.
I stood up, my steps still a little unsteady, and staggered out of the room, only to see a deck filled with containers.
I was stunned, completely out of my mind.
I'm on a cruise ship? Where's Yan Meng?!
I looked at those containers that looked almost identical, and ran over like crazy, taking pictures of them one by one.
