Their eyes were filled with fear and resentment, as if to say, "It's all your fault."
She turned her head, took a deep breath, and looked at the bottomless ravine with a firm gaze.
She felt no guilt. If she had harmed them, then who had harmed her? In the end, everyone had paid a price, and what was owed had to be repaid.
She stared blankly at the abyss before her. That was her destination. Her eternal destination.
The night in late autumn was very cold. Two gunshots rang out and people on both sides fell down. She closed her eyes quietly, knowing that it would be her turn soon.
She was very calm, so calm that she had no emotions at all.
She suddenly remembered Tess, which she had read in middle school. Since she had not read it again, the content was very vague. She only remembered that Tess was hanged at the end and her body was hung.
The book ends with: Fate finally ended its trick on Tess.
When she read that, she couldn't help crying and was extremely sad.
After all these years, she didn't feel sad when she thought about it at this moment. Tess must be...relaxed and at ease. Just like her at this moment, this was her most relaxed moment.
It's finally over. I don't have to think about anything anymore. I won't cry anymore, I won't feel pain anymore. I'm finally free.
