"Hehe..." Shi Yu grabbed her braid and gave an awkward laugh.
"Would you believe me if I said it had nothing to do with me?"
Believe it for nothing.
Although pregnant women shouldn't get angry, He Qiuniang still did.
He Qiuniang picked up a feather duster and made a move to hit Shi Yu.
Seeing that things were going badly, Shi Yu quickly said, "Oh dear, Mother, a gentleman uses words, not fists! Besides, I didn't know either!"
After saying that, she put on an innocent look.
He Qiuniang was furious. "You silly girl, this is your older brother's exam, and you're still messing around!"
Just as the feather duster was about to fall, Shi Yu quickly dodged He Qiu Niang's attack.
"Mom, please stop hitting me! I know I was wrong, okay?" she begged as she ran around the table.
He Qiuniang was not about to give up easily, so she pretended to be fierce.
"You little brat, you're getting more and more outrageous! Today I'm going to give you a good spanking!"
He Qiuniang was about to run after him when Tantai Qingchuan pulled her into his arms.
“Qiu Niang, Yu Yu is still young, she definitely didn’t do it on purpose.”
"You're pregnant now, you can't go running around like that."
After Tantai Qingchuan finished speaking, he gave Shi Yu a meaningful look.
Run!
"Hehe..." Shi Yu chuckled again and quickly climbed onto the big dog at the door with her short legs.
Then, he raised his hand and patted the heads of Little Green and Little Blue.
"drive!"
"Let's go out and play!"
He Qiuniang watched Shi Yuhuan run off and shook her head helplessly.
"You should just spoil her."
“Look, the statue of the God of Literature is broken.”
"Heaven knows what that little girl did behind the scenes."
“Qiu Niang, Yu Yu naturally has her own supernatural abilities,” Tantai Qingchuan advised.
"If the God of Literature has a spirit, how could he let Yu Yu kowtow so easily and break it?"
“We have our own gods in our own homes, so there’s no need to worry.”
He Qiuniang's expression softened slightly after hearing Tantai Qingchuan's words of comfort.
But this matter concerns her eldest son's future, and as his mother, how could she not feel at ease?
Three days passed in the blink of an eye.
Inside the examination room, Shi Chengxi finished all the exam papers early on.
However, he didn't rush to hand in his paper. Instead, he slowly rubbed his wrist and carefully examined it.
Suddenly, he felt a cold, yin energy.
This is quite different from the unpredictable weather of mid-spring in February, which is sometimes cold and sometimes hot.
The aura was chilling and bone-piercing, carrying a nauseatingly gloomy feeling that seemed to penetrate to the bone marrow, sending chills down one's spine.
It spread silently like an invisible cold current, enveloping everything in its path in a gloomy and terrifying atmosphere.
Shi Chengxi subconsciously looked up and saw a candidate in the distance suddenly drop his calligraphy brush, stand up with a ferocious expression like a wild beast, and roar wildly.
"Exams! Exams my ass."
"I've studied hard for eighteen years, and now I'm going to fail here."
"This officialdom is full of officials protecting each other; it's utterly disgusting."
"Why bother with exams? Let's skip exams, let's go out and have some fun, hahaha..."
The man spoke with a fierce expression, stretching out his arm and grabbing straight at the table of the examinee next to him.
Judging from their posture, it looked as if they were about to overturn the entire table to the ground.
The proctors, witnessing this scene, paled and inwardly cried out in alarm.
Two officers rushed forward to try and stop him.
However, what was unexpected was that the man's strength was extraordinary.
With a flick of his arm, he easily tossed aside two burly officers who were as fragile as paper.
The two officers fell heavily to the ground, letting out a painful groan.
The man became increasingly excited, a strange smile appearing on his face.
His eyes turned bloodshot, as if controlled by a mad force.
He staggered toward the examinee beside him, each step carrying an uncontrollable impulse and madness.
The other candidates, witnessing this scene, retreated in terror, afraid to have any contact with this madman.
However, the man seemed completely oblivious to the fear of those around him, and he simply kept walking forward.
With only one goal in mind, that is the test taker!
"ah!"
"ah!"
"ah!"
Two or three candidates were ruthlessly thrown from their exam seats by that person, like sandbags.
Their bodies slammed heavily against the walls or the ground, making dull thuds.
And those answer sheets that should have been complete and flawless were now falling like snowflakes from his hands.
It shattered into countless tiny pieces of paper, which fluttered and danced in the air like a sudden blizzard.
These pieces of paper swirled and drifted in the air before slowly falling to the ground, forming a chaotic white ocean.
An eerie silence fell over the entire examination room.
The other candidates watched in horror, unable to believe their eyes.
That's the answer sheet that determines your fate!
It carries the dreams and hopes of countless people, is the goal they have pursued after years of hard study and diligent effort, and is also a key stepping stone for them to enter officialdom.
However, it has now been so easily destroyed by that madman.
Shi Chengxi stared at everything that was happening before him, a feeling he couldn't quite describe welling up inside him.
