Chapter 20 The Emperor's Little Peasant Wife 19

Xuanyuan Che tightened his arms around Chen Xiaoru, feeling the slight trembling of the person in his arms. He looked down at her pale little face, feeling so distressed that he could hardly breathe.

"Someone, call the imperial physician!"

Xuanyuan Che gave the order in a deep voice, with unquestionable majesty in his voice.

Soon, the imperial physician hurried over, medical kit in hand, beads of sweat on his forehead. He looked like he had been jogging. He knelt trembling with fear and saluted, "Your Majesty, your humble servant."

Xuanyuan Che waved his hand, signaling him to stand up: "Hurry up and show it to Concubine Chen."

As she spoke, tears rolled down her face. The teardrop landed on the back of Xuanyuan Che's hand, burning his heart.

"Silly girl."

Xuanyuan Che sighed and reached out to wipe away the tears on her face, "You are still being stubborn even at this time."
