Chu Tianche sat across from Gu Sichen, his upright figure now looking somewhat slumped. He pursed his lips tightly, his deep eyes filled with gloom, and an unapproachable chill emanated from his body.
He suddenly raised his head, his sharp eyes shot straight at Gu Sichen, his tone was cold, with a hint of suppressed anger:
"How dare you say that? If you hadn't drugged me, would this have happened?!"
When he mentioned the word "drugging", he almost gritted his teeth, and the wine glass in his hand creaked as if it would be crushed in the next second.
Gu Sichen was startled by his sudden anger. The smile on his face froze. He touched his nose awkwardly and immediately raised his hands in surrender.
"Okay, okay, it's all my fault. It's all my fault. Don't be angry, old man. Come on, drink some wine, drink some wine, and calm down."
As he spoke, he swiftly picked up the wine bottle and filled Chu Tianche's glass with wine, smiling apologetically all the time.
Chu Tianche ignored him, picked up the wine glass, and stared at the wine swaying in the glass, as if he wanted to see a hole in the wine.
He suddenly tilted his head back, drank the wine in one gulp, and then slammed the glass on the table with a bang, causing the glass to jump twice.
He gasped, his eyes red: "Who is she?!"
The remaining wine in the glass slid down the wall, leaving a small stain on the table.
He stood up suddenly, the chair scraping against the floor with a harsh sound, breaking the silence in the box. His face was as gloomy as water, his eyes were cold, and his voice was low and resolute: "I'm not drinking anymore. I'm leaving."
Before he finished speaking, he turned around and strode out of the box without any hesitation or nostalgia.
The door of the box was slammed shut with a bang, blocking out the noise outside.
Gu Sichen watched Chu Tianche leave. He leaned back on the sofa, picked up the wine glass with his slender fingers and shook it gently.
The ice cubes hit the wall of the cup, making a crisp "ding-dong" sound that echoed in the empty box.
He looked at the direction where Chu Tianche disappeared, shook his head helplessly, and a playful smile appeared on the corner of his mouth:
"Tsk tsk, this is really rare. President Chu, who is always calm and composed, is so distraught over a woman."
He tilted his head back and drank the wine in the glass in one gulp. The spicy liquid slid down his throat, bringing a burning sensation.
"It seems that I'm really moved this time." He whispered to himself, with a hint of imperceptible surprise in his tone.
Gu Sichen put down his wine glass and his eyes fell on the seat on the table where Chu Tianche had just sat. There seemed to be a faint trace of cold air lingering there.
