Chapter 65 The Secretary of the CEO of the Extinct Family 23

Chu Tianche slammed the door of Chen Xiaoru's house with a bang, shaking the door frame three times. He strode towards the black car that looked like a dormant beast in the dark night.

After getting in the car, he slammed his fist on the steering wheel, making a dull "bang" sound. It felt like a huge rock was pressing on his chest, making it difficult to breathe. His brows were furrowed so tightly that they could pinch a fly to death.

After a long moment, Chu Tianche took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes. His mind was a mess. One moment he thought of his mother Zhang Tingyu's aggressive face, forcing him to get married. The next moment he thought of Chen Xiaoru's tearful, stubborn, and aggrieved face. It made him so upset that he wanted to pull them both out of his mind!

He took out his cell phone, the light from the screen illuminating his tired face. His fingertips slid hesitantly across the screen, and finally he clicked on a number and dialed it.

The phone rang once and was connected. Gu Sichen's annoying voice came from the other end:

"What's going on? Why are you so angry in the middle of the night? Who has offended our CEO Chu again?"

Chu Tianche gripped the steering wheel tightly, his knuckles turning white from the force. He closed his eyes and spoke in a hoarse, low voice:

"Gu Sichen, come out and have a drink."

There was a pause on the other end of the phone, and it seemed that the sound of Gu Sichen's chair scraping against the ground could be heard. Then, Gu Sichen chuckled, and there was a hint of understanding in his laughter:

"Tsk tsk, judging by your tone, you seem quite angry. Did you have another falling out with your mother?"

The ending of Gu Sichen's voice rose slightly, with a hint of wanting to watch the fun and not mind getting involved.

Chu Tianche didn't respond to Gu Sichen's question, his brows lowered, his tone cold as a drop of ice:

"Half an hour, same place."

After saying that, he hung up the phone directly, his movements were decisive and with a hint of impatience.

The next second, the black car roared like a beast and shot out like an arrow, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind.

Chu Tianche's eyes were sharp as he stared at the front. The veins on the back of his hand holding the steering wheel were bulging, as if he wanted to crush the leather steering wheel.

Neon lights flashed across his face, illuminating the tense lines of his profile. He pursed his lips tightly, exuding a depressing, unapproachable aura. He drove faster and faster, as if trying to vent all the pent-up emotions within him.

More than ten minutes later, the car braked suddenly and stopped in front of the door of a high-end club, and the tires made a sharp scream as they rubbed against the ground.

Chu Tianche pushed open the car door and walked in with a chill. He and Gu Sichen often came to this club, and the security guards all knew him, so he had no problems.

Chu Tianche pushed the door open and walked in. The lights in the box were dim. Gu Sichen was lazily leaning on the sofa, turning a wine glass in his hand. When he saw him come in, he raised his eyebrows and a playful smile appeared on the corner of his mouth:

"Hey, President Chu, you're here pretty quick. Looking at your dark face, I know the battle is intense."

Chu Tianche ignored his teasing, walked straight to sit opposite him, untied his tie and threw it on the table.

He picked up the bottle and, without pouring it into the glass, took a big gulp of whiskey directly from the bottle. His Adam's apple rolled, and a "gulp gulp" sound came out. The spicy liquid slid down his throat, bringing a burning sensation, but also slightly relaxing his tense nerves.

Gu Sichen put the wine glass on the table, leaned forward, rested his elbows on his knees, and looked at Chu Tianche with a smile:

"Tell me, which unlucky guy has made you so angry this time?"

Chu Tianche put down the bottle and slammed it heavily on the table, making a dull "bang". He raised his eyelids, a cold light flashing in his eyes: "Who else could it be? My mother!"

Gu Sichen had an "I understand" expression on his face and tapped the table with his fingers:

"No need to guess, they must be forcing you to marry that someone from the Su family, right?"

"snort."

Chu Tianche sneered, picked up the bottle again, poured himself a glass of wine, tilted his head back and drank it all in one gulp. The wine slid down the corner of his mouth and dripped onto his expensive shirt, leaving a dark mark, but he didn't care.

Gu Sichen picked up the wine glass again, gently shaking the amber liquid, his eyes wandering over his face:

"But, speaking of which, Mr. Chu, are you really not considering it at all? I've heard a lot about that Miss Su. She's both talented and beautiful, and her family background is quite compatible with yours."

Chu Tianche slammed his wine glass onto the table, his eyes wide as bells as he stared at Gu Sichen viciously:

"Her? Forget it! Even if I remain single for the rest of my life, I will never marry a woman like that!"

Gu Sichen shrugged, a smile on his face, and leaned back on the sofa:

"Okay, forget what I said. But, are you planning to keep being in this stalemate with your mother? This isn't a solution."

He paused, his tone becoming somewhat serious, "You also know Aunt Zhang's personality..."

Chu Tianche held the wine glass between his index and middle fingers, tapping the wall of the glass again and again, making a crisp "tap tap" sound. His eyes were as bottomless as a deep pool. He spoke slowly, his voice low, as if squeezed out from his chest:

"Gu Sichen, how do you think everything I have now came about?"

Gu Sichen raised his eyebrows and the smile on his lips faded a little. He put down his wine glass, leaned back slightly, leaned on the sofa, his eyes fell on Chu Tianche's face, but did not respond, waiting for him to continue.

"From the day I took over the Chu Group,"

Chu Tianche's voice suddenly rose, with an unquestionable toughness.

"Every step I took was made with my own blood and sweat! Back then, the Chushi Group was on the verge of collapse. If it weren't for me turning the tide, how could there be the Chushi Group today?"

He clenched the wine glass tightly, his knuckles turned white, and a cold light flashed in his eyes.
