Chapter 126 Get off the car

Early in the morning, the maid went to the bedroom to bring tea to the old lady.

They found no one in the room and searched the yard, but couldn't find her.

Remembering the argument last night, the maid hurriedly went next door to call Fu Jingsheng.

The old lady was pushed around by Liu Ma and found a hotel nearby to stay in.

Aunt Liu stirred things up.

Rong Yan was awakened by the doorbell. When she came downstairs, she found that the old lady was gone, along with Liu Ma.

She became inexplicably irritable. She didn't like the old lady to begin with, and after a period of peace at home, the irritability started again.

Fu Jingsheng pinched the side of his nose: "Grandma and Aunt Liu are together, they'll be fine. They're both staying at home, don't look for them."

Has the old lady forgotten what she promised me back then, that she would stop causing trouble after moving to Yushui Bay?

"But young master, what if they weren't together?" the servants worried.

"We can't get through to either of them on the phone, so they've obviously agreed to something." Like Fu Jingsheng, Rong Yan had given up on asking.

"Madam, are you sure you don't want to call the police?" the servants asked in hushed tones.

Rong Yan handed the decision over to Fu Jingsheng.

"Don't report it. Everyone can pretend nothing happened and go about their work." The man dismissed the servants.

At the hotel.

After deliberately ignoring the first three phone calls, the old lady waited until the afternoon, but no one called back.

Just like with Aunt Liu's phone, there wasn't a single message.

The old man panicked, thinking of running away from home to regain his position in the family, but most of the day passed and no one came looking for him.

Taking advantage of the old lady's feelings, Aunt Liu deliberately said, "Look, they don't treat you like family at all. They know you're not in good health, yet they haven't looked for you even after you've been gone for so long."

"They must have known you were angry when they left, and they didn't even try to comfort you."

The old lady gripped her cane and said, "In that case, I'll walk a little further away so they can't find me at all. Aunt Liu, let's check out."

"Okay."

Aunt Liu helped the old lady buy tickets to other cities.

After letting the old lady board the train, he took a picture of the train and sent it to Fu Jingsheng.

It got dark, but Grandma didn't come back. Instead, there was a photograph.

Fu Jingsheng was agitated. He dialed the number, but the old man rejected the call.

"See? They're nervous." Aunt Liu's scheme worked. "Don't say anything for now, just send a photo when we get to the station."

Fu Jingsheng sent his grandmother a few short voice messages.

The old lady was even more pleased with herself for her anxious tone.

After getting off the train in the next city, the old lady posted a photo of herself with the platform, deliberately omitting the station name.

Fu Jingsheng couldn't sit still any longer: "Rong Yan, Grandma has gone to another city."

He showed the photos to his wife.

“It seems to be Mengzhou. I saw the train station in Mengzhou when I took Aunt Xu to see a doctor before. It’s very Chinese style. Let’s go find her.”

Fu Jingsheng did not expect his wife to compromise first.

"I'm sorry, I can't do anything about her. She's so old, and leaving her outside all this time could cause her any trouble." Fu Jingsheng looked at his wife with guilt.

“I know you’re in a difficult position too. You’ve been very supportive of me yesterday and today. If we don’t go to Grandma’s house soon, I think she might do something rash again. Xu’s mother just passed away, and we can’t afford for anything else to happen to anyone in our family.”

Hotel near the train station.

The old lady settled in.

"Big sister, didn't they call you?" Aunt Liu asked as she returned with fast food.

"No." The old lady shook her head. "Do they not want to take care of me anymore? Xiao Liu, why don't we go back? The room is too small, and there's no food."

The elderly man regretted his decision shortly after moving in.

Aunt Liu continued to brainwash her: "The more this happens, the less you should go back. This is called a self-inflicted injury strategy."

After Liu Ma said that, the old lady reluctantly agreed to stay.

Fu Jingsheng rushed to Mengzhou overnight.

I only called my grandma when I got to the station.

Upon seeing her grandson's number, the old lady quickly pressed the answer button.

Fu Jingsheng sighed: "Grandma, I'm at Mengzhou Station. I'll come to pick you up and take you home. I apologize."

The old man had the loudspeaker on and looked smug.

“What are you admitting wrong? Didn’t you say you didn’t want me as your grandma anymore?” she said deliberately.

Fu Jingsheng was furious. His grandmother, who was not very mobile, must have been encouraged by Liu Ma to run away from home. After returning to Tiancheng, he fired Liu Ma.

Right now, we need to appease the old lady first, so that it will be safe to take the person back home.

He patiently continued to apologize.

The old lady had regretted leaving home all day. After her grandson finished speaking, she couldn't wait to go back. But in order to have some status in the family in the future, she deliberately said that she could go back, but she was not allowed to side with others in everything.

Fu Jingsheng didn't want to agree, but Rong Yan nodded at him from the side.

The man had no choice but to agree.

After picking up the old lady, Fu Jingsheng remained silent.

The old lady glared at Rong Yan: "Why are you here?"

"Grandma, I've come to take you home." The woman's tone softened. What was there to argue with an eighty-year-old?

She had figured it out. Let the old lady do what she wants; she would just have to be accommodating and not put Fu Jingsheng in a difficult position.

The granddaughter-in-law actually apologized; the old lady got the benefit but still acted innocent.

"Oh, I wouldn't dare ask you to apologize. Even my own grandson wouldn't side with me."

"Grandma, it's happening again, isn't it?" Fu Jingsheng finally spoke after a long silence. "No one is against you, but no matter what it is, you have to ask questions before making a decision, right?"

The old lady found her grandson's words grating: "You didn't really want to take me back, did you? You only came because you were afraid something would happen to me, right?"

Fu Jingsheng responded, "Why are you still saying that? Are you feeling unwell at home? What did you eat for dinner after all this trouble?"

"Yes, eldest sister, we won't be willful anymore. The young master is on your side," Aunt Liu quickly tried to smooth things over.

Rong Yan couldn't stand the maid's hypocritical face, so she bluntly exposed her: "Aunt Liu, everyone's here now, there's something I need to tell you. You've given Grandma a lot of advice since she came out, haven't you?"

"Madam, what do you mean? Do you think I encouraged the old lady to run away from home and threatened you?" Liu Ma did not encourage her; the old lady wanted to leave on her own, and Liu Ma only stirred things up after she left the house.

“You know perfectly well what’s going on. You’re getting on in years. If you’re not comfortable staying at Yushui Bay, I can give you some money for your retirement. You don’t have to stay here so miserably.”

"You want to kick Xiao Liu out?" The old lady began to defend him. "Xiao Liu has been with me for more than ten years. He's closer to me than you are to me. If Xiao Liu leaves, no one will protect me anymore. You can do whatever you want, right?"

The three of them started arguing again, each saying their own thing.

Aunt Liu feigned pitifulness and said, "Since you can't tolerate me, I'll leave. Sister, I'm sorry I won't be able to take care of you anymore."

She wiped away her tears as she spoke.

Rong Yan snorted coldly.

“Jing Sheng, look at your wife’s attitude. Are you bullying an old person? You might as well send me away too.”

In her excitement, the old lady opened the car door.

Fu Jingsheng was so frightened that he slammed on the brakes, and the old lady rolled off the car.

Due to inertia, everyone else's bodies lurched forward.

"So much blood!" Aunt Liu shouted.
