Chapter 149 Shout it out

Gu Hannian and Ye Jianming had a clear division of labor: one brewed tea, and the other cut fruit.

The store employees were assigned to deliver food.

"Ye Jianming's probiotic drink is out of stock. Go to the supermarket and buy some," Gu Hannian said, rummaging through the freezer.

"Okay." Ye Jianming put down what he was doing.

Gu Hannian was the only one left in the shop.

The wind chimes outside the door tinkled softly. The woman subconsciously looked up. Night had fallen. She smiled slightly.

There weren't many customers in the evening on a weekday, so it was quite relaxing.

While Ye Jianming was buying probiotic drinks, Gu Hannian sat in the small pavilion outside the door and rested for a while.

She rarely sat there, watching the traffic and people come and go. She thought the world was so wonderful without people beating or scolding her, and she didn't understand why Huo Shufen and the others had so many demands.

The woman was thinking.

Huo Shufen found the milk tea shop at the address. She looked at it from a distance and the person at the door seemed to be Gu Hannian.

I was worried that setting fire to the store would hurt innocent people, but I didn't expect Gu Hannian to be sitting outside alone.

She tightened her grip on the gasoline can and tried the lighter again.

In order to avoid being noticed by Gu Hannian, he deliberately took a roundabout approach.

Just like Gu Hannian splashed water on her, Huo Shufen unscrewed the bottle cap and poured a bucket of gasoline on her.

Gu Hannian froze for a few seconds, saw Huo Shufen's distorted face, and smelled the pungent odor. She understood and prepared to run, but Huo Shufen grabbed her.

The woman lit the lighter and pointed it at Gu Hannian; the flames instantly spread.

Gu Hannian screamed in anguish, but Huo Shufen held her tightly, and she couldn't break free.

Hearing the commotion, people from neighboring shops came out, and onlookers called the police or searched for fire extinguishers.

But the fire was too intense, and soon, Gu Hannian collapsed.

When Rong Yan arrived at the hospital, Gu Hannian was undergoing emergency treatment.

She cried as she listened to the shop owner next door recount what had happened.

The person who started this, Huo Shufen, is also in critical condition.

Rong Yan lost her temper: "Why save someone like that?"

Fu Jingsheng held his wife in his arms, while Ye Jianming held the drinks he had bought. He still couldn't believe that he had only been gone for a short while.

"Rong Yan, calm down," Fu Jingsheng repeated in his wife's ear.

Rong Yan had never been so hysterical before. She wanted to rush into the emergency room to organize the doctors to save Huo Shufen. She didn't understand why she should save a bad person who set fire to people and was burned herself.

“Fu Jingsheng, she is my sister. When she left at noon, she told me to take care of myself, but now she is lying in the operating room, her life hanging in the balance.”

Rong Yan was heartbroken.

What's wrong with Gu Hannian standing up for her? Why would Huo Shufen risk her life to kill her?

She recalled many times how Gu Hannian protected her without considering the consequences, and how he would still smile foolishly after each injury.

"My sister's life has been so hard, so very hard." Rong Yan squatted on the ground, tears streaming down her face like a broken string of pearls.

"She was burned for twenty minutes." Rong Yan felt pain for half a day even when she burned her finger while cooking, so she couldn't imagine how much pain Gu Han Nian must have been in.

"Fu Jingsheng, I want everyone in the Rong family to die!" she shouted.

When Rong Bing and Rong Tian learned that Huo Shufen had burned Gu Hannian and that Gu Hannian was in the hospital receiving emergency treatment, Rong Bing hid at home and sent her father to the hospital.

She didn't expect her mother to be so ruthless. The woman called Lin Wei, who was still in Luzhou.

The woman froze after hearing Rong Bing's tearful account; Rong Bing's mother was so cruel.

She was secretly pleased; if that girl died, Fu Jingsheng would probably feel guilty for a while.

Rong Bing said that her mother and Gu Han Nian went to the same hospital, so she dared not show up.

Lin Wei tried to persuade her, saying that if something happened to Huo Shufen, she was doing it for Rong Bing, so how could she not go?

Lin Wei hoped the scene would become even more chaotic.

After listening to Lin Wei's advice, Rong Bing reluctantly went to the hospital.

Lin Wei transferred some money to her, saying that the cost of burns is high, and Rong Bing thanked him repeatedly.

In Luzhou, Lin Wei was in a great mood.

Li Yun went to the company and hasn't returned yet.

Lin Wei prepared a candlelight dinner; they'd be returning to Tiancheng tomorrow, so they wanted to celebrate their last night together.

Everything was going so smoothly that the woman felt that God was on her side.

Li Yun suffered from kidney deficiency after being bothered by Lin Wei for several days, so he deliberately hid at the company and didn't go home.

The assistant joked, "Mr. Li, is there anything you're afraid of?"

The man sighed, "I'm getting old, you can't deny it."

That evening, Lin Wei called several times, saying she had prepared a surprise, so Li Yun had no choice but to return from the company.

In the bedroom, Lin Wei had lit candles, two glasses of red wine, and a bouquet of roses on the table. She was wearing a robe that only covered her buttocks, and she wasn't wearing anything underneath.

Hearing footsteps, the woman rushed forward excitedly.

"Are you deliberately avoiding me?" Lin Wei asked in a coquettish tone.

Before Li Yun even entered the door, Lin Wei hugged her, her soft, warm breasts pressed against her.

"Want to be fucked again?" The man stroked the woman's neck.

Lin Wei pulled the man's hand and placed it between her legs: "What you're saying."

"I'm leaving tomorrow, so I have to drain you dry." The woman's eyes narrowed slightly.

In front of Lin Wei, Li Yun popped a capsule into his mouth and said, "She's so wild, I can't just not take her."

She grabbed his collar and pulled him back, saying, "Yes, please, have some wine first, I have something good to tell you."

When Lin Wei recounted the disaster, her eyes were filled with smugness, and for a moment Li Yun felt that this woman was too hard-hearted.

He took a breath: "Weiwei, no matter what, it's still two lives lost."

Lin Wei took a sip of red wine and fed it to Li Yun, then sat on his lap, her fingers gently lifting the man's chin: "Do you think I'm scary?"

“A little,” Li Yun said.

"Big Brother's woman is not soft-hearted." Lin Wei meant that she was trained by Li Yun.

"I didn't do anything. They made a fuss, and I just reaped the benefits. Why should I sympathize with them?" Lin Wei asked.

"That's right, I also have good news to tell you." Li Yun told Lin Wei about the latest offer he had received from the Fu family.

In the candlelight, the two smiled at each other.

"Then we should celebrate even more." Lin Wei sat down directly.

I had barely moved a few times when my phone rang.

The caller ID showed the name "Bingbing".

"I need to take an important call. I reckon they'll be telling me if someone's dead or alive. I'm putting it on speakerphone." The woman pressed the answer button with her slender fingers.

Sure enough, the woman on the other end was crying and sobbing. Huo Shufen was still being treated. She ran into Rong Yan, who threatened to kill them. She didn't know what to do.

Fortunately, Fu Jingsheng pulled Rong Yan away.

The person who was burned by Huo Shufen would most likely not survive.

Upon hearing this, Lin Wei couldn't help but start moving.

Li Yun suddenly snorted and whispered in her ear, "Shout it out."

Lin Wei pursed her lips.

"Weiwei, what should I do?" The woman on the other end of the phone was unaware that Lin Wei was celebrating.

"Bingbing, I'm going back tomorrow. Don't pay any attention to them. They won't dare to touch you." Lin Wei felt like she was going to die. She didn't know how she managed to control her breathing and calmly say these words.
