Chapter 243 Using Magic to Defeat Magic

Fu Jingchen listened to his grandmother's accusations without daring to utter a word. Besides the old lady, he also heard Fu Jingsheng's voice.

He knew that the old lady went out yesterday, and Fu Jingsheng did not believe that he was not involved.

The old lady talked for a while, but when she didn't hear her grandson's voice, she stopped crying and asked, "Jingchen, are you there?"

"Yes, Grandma, my brother and the others are doing this for your own good." Fu Jingchen said this deliberately for Fu Jingsheng to hear.

*Snap!* The old lady hung up the phone. Why wasn't even her grandson on her side anymore?

Rongyan and her mother-in-law were in the bedroom, and even with the door closed, they could hear the old lady's voice.

Han Yue was worried that her daughter-in-law's mood would be affected, so she turned on some music and played a soothing tune.

"Mom, I'll go see." Rong Yan guessed that Fu Jingsheng had said something that the old lady couldn't accept, so she started crying again.

When Rong Yan returned to the living room, she saw Fu Jingsheng with a somber face and the old lady weeping uncontrollably.

"Why did you come out?" Fu Jingsheng asked when he saw his wife and mother.

"Fu Jingsheng, I really didn't abandon Grandma, waah!" Rong Yan plopped down on the ground.

"Grandma, when did I ever chase you away? When did I ever think you weren't important? Grandma, why are you wronging me?" She slowly moved her bottom in front of the old lady and hugged the old lady's feet.

Fu Jingsheng: ...

Han Yue: ? ? ?

“Fu Jingsheng, did you tell Grandma that I asked you to kick her out? I didn’t! Record a video for me, I want to clarify, I want to swear, I really didn’t say or do anything.” Rong Yan reached for Fu Jingsheng’s phone.

The old lady was also confused by Rong Yan's actions, her mouth agape but unable to utter a sound.

Unable to hear the old lady's voice anymore, Rong Yan shook her legs: "Grandma, I'm so sad too. Cry, why don't you stop crying? Let's cry together."

Rong Yan, dressed in a white dress, lay half-reclined on the ground, clinging to the old lady's legs and wailing loudly, looking just like someone wailing at a funeral.

Was she dead? Her eyes darkened, and she tried to kick Rong Yan away, but her legs didn't move.

"Get...get...get her away, she's bad luck." The old lady's tears were still wet in the corners of her eyes, but her tone had returned to normal.

Rong Yan, of course, wouldn't leave. She hugged the old lady even tighter: "Grandma, why aren't you crying? Grandma, am I the only one who's heartbroken? Grandma."

It felt like Rong Yan started singing as she was talking, which made the old lady's hair stand on end. It was quite creepy. And her usually decisive granddaughter, let alone crying out loud, would only cry in secret if her eyes even turned red. Was she possessed today?

The old lady is a bit superstitious; could it be that the paper figures she made herself worked?

Rong Yan glanced at the old lady's expression out of the corner of her eye. It seemed that this method was working. It's hard to be a good person, but isn't it easy to be a bad person? She was usually too tired to keep up appearances and was afraid of saying anything that would make the old lady think too much. This time, she threw a tantrum without any regard for the consequences, which felt great.

I never thought being a shrew would be so fun.

She didn't care about being Dr. Song or Mrs. Fu.

Han Yue and Fu Jingsheng exchanged a glance, both knowing exactly what Rong Yan meant.

Use magic to defeat magic. Since the old lady won't listen to reason, just ignore reason altogether.

Annoyed by Rong Yan's crying, the old lady covered her ears and stammered, "You...go, Jing Sheng, pull...her...away."

Fu Jingsheng pretended to pull Rong Yan up, saying, "Get up quickly, the ground is cold."

Rong Yan pushed Fu Jingsheng to the ground: "Don't touch me, go away."

"She actually laid a hand on Jing Sheng! This is outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!" The old lady pointed at Rong Yan with trembling hands.

"Grandma, I'm just a weak woman, how could I possibly lay a hand on him? I couldn't beat him even if I tried. I just gently touched him to make him move aside, and he fell down on his own. You're saying I laid a hand on him? You're accusing me! Waaah!" Rong Yan cried even louder, squeezing out a few tears to match her loud sobs.

With her mouth agape, she inhaled air and coughed, and with that cough, tears streamed down her face.

Fu Jingsheng quickly patted his wife on the back: "Calm down."

"I can't calm down, honey. I'm an outsider who married into the Fu family. I'm afraid of saying the wrong thing and upsetting Grandma every day. I try to speak as little as possible at home, but even so, I'm still misunderstood. I'm so heartbroken." Rong Yan just couldn't stop. As a writer, it's not hard for her to play the victim.

Fu Jingsheng gave his wife a wink, signaling her to stop, but Rong Yan was crying with her eyes closed and couldn't see Fu Jingsheng's expression. She only knew that her commotion had silenced the old lady.

"Yue'er, push me back to my room." If she can't take her granddaughter-in-law with her, can't she just walk herself? The old lady turned the wheels of her wheelchair.

Seeing that his grandmother was about to leave, but Rong Yan was still clinging to her leg, Fu Jingsheng pried Rong Yan's hands off and picked her up directly: "Grandma, I'm taking her up with me."

"Fu Jingsheng, put me down, I haven't finished speaking yet." Rong Yan kicked her legs back and forth.

"No...don't put her down, take her away...take her away." The old lady was desperate to avoid her.

Rong Yan was carried into the bedroom, and after the door was closed, she frantically gulped down several mouthfuls of water; she was practically dying of thirst.

"Fu Jingsheng, I acted pretty well, didn't I?" Rong Yan couldn't help but smile as she thought about her performance.

Fu Jingsheng put his arm around her waist: "Quite impressive. I never expected Ms. Rong to have this side to her. Do you know what I was thinking at the time?"

"What?" Rong Yan's eyes widened.

"I thought to myself, 'Where did this monster come from? I'm going to take her in and conquer her.'" Fu Jingsheng put his arm around Rong Yan and leaned forward. Rong Yan backed away and fell down on the sofa with a thud.

The bright morning sunlight shone on the woman's face, and if Fu Jingsheng hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would never have imagined that his wife had such a side.

"Fu Jingsheng, what are you doing?"

"Go ahead." The man changed his tone, kneeling on the sofa with one knee, restraining Rong Yan's upper body.

Shouting at the old lady had already exhausted her, and now...

Before Rong Yan could come up with a reason, Fu Jingsheng kissed her lips. The man pried open her teeth and their tongues entwined for several seconds before finally letting go.

I've been busy with the old lady's affairs these past two days, so the two of us haven't been together. Just now, when I carried Rongyan upstairs, I couldn't suppress my desire any longer.

“You must be tired from acting, let me help you relax.” The man smiled and said, “No one will bother you now. Grandma is already scared by you, she probably won’t talk to you for the next few days.”

“It’s broad daylight, Fu Jingsheng, I can’t stand you being so idle. I’m thinking of finding you a job.” Rong Yan thought for a moment, thinking that she couldn’t just stay at home all day eating and having sex.

While he could at least write books, Fu Jingsheng was preoccupied with figuring out how to have sex with someone.

"I want to sleep with you, and after I'm done, I'll go to work." The man's eyes were practically spitting fire. "I was thinking about you even downstairs."

He reached under the woman's skirt without a second thought.
