Chapter 242 Make a scene if you want

Seeing that the buttons on his clothes had already popped open in the middle, if he didn't stop it soon, the hickey on his chest would be exposed.

Lin Wei pulled up her collar: "Guo An, alright, want to go see a movie? There's a romance movie coming out today, it's been a while since I've seen one."

The man checked the time; it was just eight o'clock. It was still early to go to sleep. If he stayed with Lin Wei, he would inevitably have all sorts of wild thoughts. He might as well go out.

"Okay," the man agreed.

Lin Wei chose the nearest movie theater. When she arrived, the movie had already started. On a typical evening, there were only a few people in the theater. Guo An was holding the woman's hand and sitting in the last row.

Men aren't interested in romance movies, but they get aroused when they see the male and female leads kissing on screen.

Guo An pulled the armrest in the middle of the seat back and pulled Lin Wei closer to him. The woman, who was immersed in the romance between the male and female leads, muttered to herself, "I envy their love so much."

“Weiwei, I will treat you better, and we will be happier than them,” Guo An replied.

"Mmm." The woman turned around and kissed him.

Guo An was surprised when Lin Wei suddenly kissed him. He stared wide-eyed in surprise for a moment, then hugged her.

"Guo An, I'm so happy when I'm with you." Lin Wei cupped Guo An's face in her hands. "Thank you."

The man covered the woman's mouth with his palm: "Weiwei, don't say that."

"Shh!" the woman gestured for silence. "Focus on the movie."

Guo An held Lin Wei's hand and placed it between his legs, chatting happily, and the man actually reacted.

The woman withdrew her hand shyly and whispered in Guo An's ear, "Don't do anything reckless. You must get a good rest today. Don't forget that your cousin might have something to do tonight."

Guo An sat back down. The movie ended late at night, and Lin Wei secretly switched her WeChat account. Fortunately, Li Yun didn't send any messages, so she felt relieved and took Guo An home.

At Yushui Bay, the video of the old lady hysterically accusing Rong Yan is gaining more and more attention. The old lady went to bed early as if nothing had happened, while Rong Yan and Fu Jingsheng were still in the coffee shop with Ye Jianming trying to come up with a solution.

Ye Jianming kept shaking his head. The video was not fabricated. The person who posted the video was a reporter from a legitimate media outlet. It was reasonable and legal for him to expose gossip. Even if the account was hacked now, the video must have been saved by many people. He couldn't possibly delete all the videos.

Are we going to use another issue to suppress it? The fake divorce scandal has only just passed, and it has proven to be an ineffective method. Ye Jianming suggests that we should ignore it, as responding will only increase the buzz.

Fu Jingsheng agreed. At this point, even if the old lady herself came out to deny it, it would be useless. The media would only report that the old lady was forced to do so.

Rong Yan didn't care what others said about her; she was only worried that this might be another conspiracy.

To avoid conflict with the old lady, Rong Yan temporarily stayed outside. Before dawn the next day, Han Yue called Fu Jingsheng, saying that several reporters had come to the house.

Fu Jingsheng asked why they didn't ask security to ask them to leave. Han Yue said that the old lady had invited them into her home because she wanted to give an interview.

He told his mother to keep an eye on things, and that he was going home immediately, as the old lady might cause trouble again.

Upon hearing her husband's conversation with her mother-in-law, Rong Yan jumped up, quickly put on her clothes, and only applied light makeup after getting into the car.

What is the old lady trying to do? Doesn't the house get messy enough already?

Han Yue couldn't stop her mother-in-law. The camera was pointed at the old lady. If she forced her mother-in-law into the house, these people would probably say that, just as the old lady said, there was no freedom of speech.

Han Yue could only answer questions as soon as they were asked by the reporter.

Clearly, the reporters didn't want to hear what Han Yue had to say. Out of politeness, they nodded at Han Yue's answer, but their next question was: "Grandma, why did you go out alone?"

The real reason the old lady did this was because she felt that no one in the family cared about her, so she blurted out, "I'm just a useless old lady, staying at home will only get in the way."

"What do you mean?" the reporter asked.

"You mean everything said in the video is true?"

Seeing that things were not going well, Han Yue quickly explained for her mother-in-law: "My mother meant that she wanted to go out for a walk. I guess everyone was busy at the time, and she didn't want to bother everyone, so she went out by herself."

"Really? Grandma?"

The old lady wanted to answer herself, but Han Yue changed the subject: "Mom, aren't we going to see a play?"

"Oh, right." The old lady finally remembered.

The reporter, having finally been invited in by the elderly woman, was not about to let such a good opportunity slip by. One of the people said, "Grandma, may I ask you one last question? Just two more minutes."

"Sure," the old lady said, accepting all offers.

Is everything you said in the video true?

"Madam, we have other things to attend to." Han Yue was afraid her mother-in-law would answer yes.

She pulled her wheelchair back, trying to avoid the reporters in the yard, but for every step she took back, a reporter took a step forward.

"Ask me if you have any questions." Fu Jingsheng arrived just in time, parked his car at the entrance, and shouted to the reporters inside as soon as he got out of the car.

As soon as everyone saw the male head of the household return, they all turned around.

Rong Yan looked at the chaotic courtyard, her anger rising. What kind of reporter was so brazen as to come to someone's house for an interview?

"Mr. Fu, Dr. Song, you've come back just in time. Grandma invited us in." The reporter first clarified that they were not trespassing.

Rong Yan smiled perfunctorily; at this moment, silence was more effective than any other method.

No matter what the reporter asked her, she kept her lips tightly shut.

Fu Jingsheng pushed the old lady back to the living room, kept the reporters outside, and called security to kick them out.

He took pictures of all the reporters' faces and bullied them in their homes. Do these people really think of themselves as messengers of justice?

After the group was driven away, the servants closed the courtyard gate. Fu Jingsheng told everyone to wait in the courtyard. He sat down next to the old lady and said, "Grandma, if life here makes you unhappy, I will send you back to the old house immediately."

"Rongyan, Mom, you both need to leave for a bit. I need to talk to Grandma alone for a while." Worried that the old lady would blame his wife again, Fu Jingsheng asked his wife and mother to leave.

Han Yue took her daughter-in-law's hand and said, "Rong Yan, help me pick out an outfit for the play. Let's go to my dressing room."

Only Fu Jingsheng and the old lady remained in the living room.

Fu Jingsheng said with a serious expression: "Do you want the empire that Grandpa built to collapse like this? Go ahead and cause trouble. I didn't want to manage the company anymore anyway. At worst, Rong Yan and I would immigrate abroad. Out of sight, out of mind, we'd be free from the troubles in China. If you want to make trouble, then make trouble."

"No one thinks you're useless except yourself. Don't take advantage of your age and act like everyone has to revolve around you. Outsiders are so nice, why don't they take you with them?" Fu Jingsheng was implying something about his younger brother.

The old lady listened calmly until the outsiders came in, then she got anxious: "Who are you calling an outsider? Did Rong Yan stir things up and say that your brother deliberately took me away?"

"It has nothing to do with Rong Yan."

The more Fu Jingsheng spoke up for Rong Yan, the more agitated the old lady became. She dialed a number and began to sob.
