Chapter 377 A Grand Display

Fearing that Fu Jingsheng and his group would recognize her, the lawyer took Rong Shiyu to the nearest police station.

Rong Shiyu cooperated and said, "Thank you, Uncle. I'll have the police call my mom right away. I won't describe what you look like to anyone. Pinky promise."

The lawyer was stunned by the little girl's words. She was so young, yet she had such awareness. Her intelligence was beyond that of other children her age.

She clearly knew that she and Liang Jia knew each other.

The lawyer seized the opportunity to plead for Liang Jia: "Could you help your aunt cover it up? She lost the person she loved most and is in a daze, which is why she made the mistake. If your parents ask, could you say you don't know what that person looks like?"

Rong Shiyu tilted her head and thought for a moment. That bad guy had terrified her. When she was tied up, she swore that she would haunt her even as a ghost. But since her uncle had saved her and pleaded for her aunt, she could repay his kindness.

She nodded reluctantly: "Okay, but I haven't forgiven that bad guy. Since Uncle saved me, I promise you this as a way of thanking you."

The lawyer gently patted the little girl's head: "Okay, thank you."

"Don't leave an adult's sight from now on," he reminded him as he turned to leave.

Rong Shiyu nodded vigorously.

When Rong Yan received her daughter's call, she was on the road next to the park, showing the photo to passersby.

"Xiaoyu." Rong Yan listened for a while before daring to call out her daughter's name, "Is it really you, Xiaoyu?"

Rong Shiyu cried again when she heard her mother's voice. She sobbed, "Mom, I'm at Ningyang Street Police Station. There are many police officers here protecting me. I'm fine, Mom. I'll wait for you here."

“Ningyang Subdistrict, right?” Rong Yan repeated, enunciating each word clearly. “Okay, I’m setting off now.”

After a few seconds, the woman sent a message in the family group chat, saying that she had found Rong Shiyu and shared her location with everyone.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and headed off in different directions.

Rong Shiyu had never been so disheveled, but after being rescued, she was only focused on being happy and didn't have time to think about how dirty she was and how wet her pants were.

Fu Jingsheng drove himself, speeding all the way, and was the first to arrive. When he saw Rong Shiyu, he was stunned for a moment until Rong Shiyu called out "Dad" and ran towards him before he came back to his senses.

Rong Shiyu's hair was messy, and her clothes were covered in weeds and dirt.

"Xiaoyu." Fu Jingsheng squatted down and hugged his daughter tightly. "You scared me to death."

"Dad." Rong Shiyu buried her head in her father's chest, nuzzling against him, as if only in this way could she prove that the father in front of her was real.

A moment later, Fu Jingsheng held his daughter's shoulder: "Are you hurt?"

Rong Shiyu shook her head.

But Fu Jingsheng saw the marks on his daughter's wrists, which clearly indicated that she had been tied up with rope. The police came over and said that they had already questioned her about the situation. The child was probably too scared to remember where she went or who took her away.

A while later, Rong Yan and the others arrived. In order not to interfere with the police work, they waited outside the gate for Rong Shiyu.

There were about ten people, all talking at once, making quite a scene.

Rong Shiyu didn't know who to answer first.

Han Yue leaned on her aunt's shoulder, crying and laughing at the same time: "It's my Xiaoyu. She's alright. I will definitely keep an eye on her from now on."

Rong Yan carefully examined her daughter's exposed skin and confirmed that she had been tied up. As for how she got out, the woman decided to ask her slowly when they got home.

She said to everyone, "Xiaoyu must be terrified. Let's take her home first, okay? We can talk about it when we get home."

Liang Jia went straight to the Lu Mansion. She sat in the corner of the master bedroom, recalling the events of the day. She had finally managed to take Rong Shiyu away, but the lawyer had ruined her plans.

Will the lawyer tell Lu Kai?

The woman immediately stood up, grabbed her phone, and called her lawyer.

The man on the other end of the line spoke in a deep voice: “Ms. Liang, I’ve already taken the child to the police station. I made an agreement with her that she won’t implicate you, and I won’t tell Mr. Lu about this either. I hope you won’t do this kind of thing again. The only thing Mr. Lu asked me to do was to protect you.”

Before Liang Jia could even speak, the lawyer had already answered the questions she was about to ask.

“As long as you don’t tell Mr. Fu, I promise I won’t contact anyone from the Fu family again,” Liang Jia said casually.

The lawyer didn't want to cause Lu Kai any more trouble. Since the matter was resolved and no irreparable consequences had occurred, there was no need to say anything more.

At night, Yushui Bay is brightly lit.

Everyone who went out to search for Rong Shiyu returned after receiving the news, waiting for their young lady to come home.

Rong Shiyu took a shower as soon as she got home, and only when she took off her clothes did she realize that she was wet from the inside out.

"Sigh." The little girl sighed to herself, "If I hadn't promised my uncle, she would have definitely betrayed the bad woman and made her look so bad."

"Xiaoyu, do you need Mom's help?" Rong Yan asked, standing outside the bathroom door and gently knocking on it.

Rong Shiyu threw the dirty clothes into the trash can: "No need, Mom."

While Rong Shiyu was taking a shower, everyone discussed behind her back who had kidnapped her.

Fu Jingsheng first shared his opinion: "I noticed my daughter's expression; she clearly saw what that person looked like, but she deliberately didn't say anything."

"Shiyu is so smart, she must have reached some kind of agreement with the kidnappers, which is why she was released."

Rong Yan nodded: "Yes, that's what I think too. Let's not ask any more questions later, and be more careful in the future."

“Did you notice? When we showed her Liang Jia’s photo, she hesitated for a moment before saying it wasn’t her.” Shen Xingzhi was good at analyzing people’s psychology. “She knows Rong Bing, so we can rule her out first. After seeing Zhou Luo’s photo, she said without hesitation that she had never seen her before.”

“Even if it was Liang Jia, we have no evidence. Let’s move on.” Rong Yan lowered her eyes. “Maybe Liang Jia just wanted to scare us and then release Xiao Yu in the end.”

Rong Shiyu only said that the person who tied her up took her to the entrance of the police station, without telling everyone that it wasn't the same person.

Han Yue was furious: "They dare to mess with the Fu family's children? Do they really think the Fu family is easy to bully now that it's fallen from grace?"

"Mom, don't get upset and harm your health." Rong Yan helped her mother-in-law calm down. "Just be more careful in the future."

“Rong Yan, I think we still need to investigate this matter. If it really is Liang Jia, what if we just let her go and she kidnaps another child next time? Maybe she suddenly has a change of heart this time, but someone with mental and psychological problems might do something outrageous next time.” Fu Jingsheng was unwavering. Even if his daughter returned safely, the potential dangers had to be eliminated, otherwise it would be a ticking time bomb.

Besides, the housekeeper won't be around for a while, so with less supervision, bad people will have more opportunities to get close to the children. We can't keep the children indoors all the time.

“I agree.” Han Yue sided with her son this time. “Even if it’s just to scare us, we can’t let it go. Otherwise, others will think the Fu family is easy to bully, and we’ll have to teach them a lesson.”

Most of the people present agreed with Fu Jingsheng.

Rong Yan compromised: "Alright, I'll listen to you."
