Chapter 49: Just Bed Partners



By six o'clock, night had fallen in Tiancheng, and the lights in both villas were off.

Fu Jingsheng kept track of the time, occasionally standing outside the courtyard to take a look.

After Rong Yan arrived at the door, all the lights were turned on at once.

It was almost 6:30 when Rong Yan's car finally appeared.

"Everyone, get ready," Fu Jingsheng called out.

The red Mercedes pulled up in front of the house, only to find the yard completely dark.

The woman was puzzled.

She opened the car door.

Suddenly, colorful lights lit up in the courtyard.

"Welcome home." Fu Jingsheng came out, holding a bouquet of glowing flowers.

Han Yue and the children lined up, each holding a gift box: "Happy Valentine's Day."

Rong Yan then noticed the arched rose bridge, and the banner with her photo printed on it near the courtyard wall lit up instantly.

Rong Yan had never seen those photos before.

The courtyard was filled with all sorts of gift boxes and bouquets.

Fu Jingsheng knelt on one knee: "I know roses are old-fashioned, but nothing represents love better than roses. Rong Yan, will you marry me?"

After saying that, he took a ring out of the red bouquet in his hand.

The diamonds sparkled.

"Will you marry me?" Fu Jingsheng asked again.

The proposal ceremony and engagement ring that Rongyan had always dreamed of.

After seven years, it has finally arrived.

The woman's eyes glistened with tears.

"Han Yue." Zhao Wenbai stood outside the door holding 999 roses and saw Han Yue.

"Wenbai, what brings you here?" Han Yue looked up at the sound of her voice.

Rong Yan turned around and saw the face she least wanted to see.

Zhao Wenbai's eyes met those faces.

Rong Yan looks very much like her birth mother.

"Li Jie!" he blurted out in horror, "Weren't you dead?"
