Chapter 50 Burning Palms

Li Jie is the mother's name.

Has Rong Yan been recognized? She looked at Fu Jingsheng.

"Mom, is she looking for you?" Fu Jingsheng pulled Rong Yan behind him. "Let's go inside."

"Wenbai, what brings you here?" Han Yue was surprised that Zhao Wenbai had come to her home. "Let's go over there."

"Wait a minute." Zhao Wenbai stood motionless. "Not Li Jie? Li Jie is about my age, then who are you?"

"Mom, what's wrong with this person? He came up to me and asked if I was dead right away." Fu Jingsheng looked disgusted.

He understood what Zhao Wenbai meant, but he couldn't let Zhao Wenbai stay any longer.

"Wenbai, they are my son and daughter-in-law, let's go, let's go," Han Yue urged.

She hadn't expected Zhao Wenbai to act so strangely on their first meeting.

"I'm sorry, I mistook you for someone else," the man apologized.

Zhao Wenbai was led out of the residential area by Han Yue.

She didn't like such surprises; her son settled here because he didn't want others to know his address.

Zhao Wenbai actually managed to find it.

Han Yue subconsciously felt that this man was not simple.

"How did you find this place?" The two sat down at a dessert shop outside the residential area.

"I saw the words 'Yushui Bay' in the video you posted, so I navigated here on a whim, and it really is here. These flowers are for you, and this is too." The man took out the gifts.

"I wanted to give you a surprise, but it seems I didn't behave well and said things I shouldn't have. I probably gave the children a bad first impression." Zhao Wenbai realized his lapse in composure.

"It's nothing, it's just that I don't like people coming to my house without my permission. It makes it seem like I've done something wrong and they're coming to my door, especially since it's my son's house," Han Yue expressed her dissatisfaction.

Zhao Wenbai sighed: "It seems I messed things up. I'm sorry."

"Never mind, you've come all this way. I'll talk to them when I get back, since it didn't affect them."

——

It has been confirmed that Zhao Wenbai has left the residential area.

Fu Jingsheng insisted on completing all the ceremonies.

With a heavy heart, Rong Yan accepted the man's marriage proposal.

The children, not understanding what was going on, only knew that their mother had agreed to marry their father, and happily held hands and circled around their parents.

Xu Nan sat in the courtyard. She knew about Zhao Wenbai's affair, and a fake smile played on her lips.

"You kids play by yourselves for a while, I need to talk to Daddy." Rong Yan sent the children away.

"Ayan, I'll watch the children. You and Jingsheng have a good talk." Xu Nan knew she couldn't help.

Fu Jingsheng and Rong Yan went to the study.

“I agreed to everything Rong Bing said, but I didn’t expect the secret still couldn’t be kept.” Rong Yan frowned.

Fu Jingsheng ruffled the woman's hair: "Don't panic. There are so many people in the world who look alike. He might not think of you as his aunt's biological daughter."

"He recognized me at first glance. How could he have found my home? Could it be that he already knew I was alive and had found Tiancheng?" Rong Yan began to wonder if it was not a coincidence.

The world is so big, yet Zhao Wenbo happens to know and be friends with Fu Jingsheng's mother.

"You mean he found out about you and deliberately got close to my mom?"

"It's just a guess. Did your aunt tell him we live here?" Rong Yan asked.

"Probably not. My mom was also surprised." Fu Jingsheng had told his mother that Rong Yan moved because she didn't want others to know where she was.

The mother couldn't possibly tell anyone their address.

"Wait until she comes back and ask her. Yan, don't worry. Even if she recognizes us, we still have you. Tiancheng is a world governed by law. He can't do anything to us by himself," Fu Jingsheng comforted Rong Yan.

"I'm afraid of the children."

"Tell the driver and teacher tomorrow that they shouldn't stop anywhere except at the school and in the car. Cheer up, it's Valentine's Day, don't let him ruin the mood." The man picked up Rong Yan.

If it weren't for that little incident, Rong Yan would indeed be very happy, happier than she had been in seven years.

She tried her best not to think about it.

"I'll take you somewhere." Fu Jingsheng carried Rong Yan to the car and told Xu Nan that they would be going out for a while.

As Rong Yan and Fu Jingsheng left Yushui Bay, she sat in the car and felt a strange sense of peace.

The car stopped at the night market.

Rong Yan used to like quiet, but she changed after divorcing Fu Jingsheng. She feels lonely at home alone and prefers places with lots of people.

I like shopping malls, night markets, and even karaoke.

So she became obsessed with snacks.

But Fu Jingsheng is different.

I knew from high school that the Fu family had strict rules, and I never saw Fu Jingsheng lingering on his way home from school to buy snacks.

He didn't even eat in the university cafeteria.

In order to align with Fu Jingsheng's preferences, Rong Yan forced herself to give up street food stalls after entering university.

Rongyan had heard of Tiancheng's night market, but had never been there.

Fu Jingsheng, holding Rong Yan's hand, stopped at the stinky tofu stall. He fried a portion of stinky tofu and tasted a piece himself first.

Rong Yan was shocked: "Didn't you not eat these?"

“I know you love to eat this. He Wei told me this place is the most famous.” Fu Jingsheng skewered a piece of stinky tofu and fed it to Rong Yan.

Stinky tofu, tornado potatoes, fried chicken strips... these were all Rongyan's favorite foods before university.

Of course, it's also my favorite thing after the divorce.

She bought another one for herself: "One serving isn't enough for two people. Besides, black tastes better than white."

"You like it very much?" Fu Jingsheng asked.

"Yes, it's my absolute favorite, bar none." Rong Yan rarely saw Fu Jingsheng so down-to-earth, and she wanted to recommend him to eat the smelliest food.

Fu Jingsheng took a small bite of the black piece; it tasted strange, but he could swallow it.

He then walked to the stall.
