Chapter 509 Extra (Nine): Letting Go

Zhao Rong was having a blast.

The woman never expected that she would win three games in a row on her first time playing this kind of game.

She stood up abruptly and put her arm around Ye Jianming's shoulder, acting like a man: "Am I that amazing?"

Ye Jianming felt a little uncomfortable with his shoulder being hooked around.

He was a little stiff and wanted to move Zhao Rong's hand away, but seeing how happy Zhao Rong was, he felt embarrassed to spoil the mood.

"It's really quite good," Ye Jianming affirmed.

Zhao Rong became increasingly confident, and the woman, once she let loose, started shouting without regard for her image. When a teammate dragged her down, she even slammed her hand on the table.

Ye Jianming glanced at the excited woman out of the corner of his eye, and for a few moments, she and Gu Hannian overlapped.

Ye Jianming noticed Gu Hannian when she rolled up her sleeves to stand up for Rong Yan.

The man blinked. How could he mistake Zhao Rong for Gu Hannian?

"Sixth Brother, hide! Ouch!" Zhao Rong shouted, and as the game ended, the woman leaned back in her chair and sighed deeply. "I lost. How come those people are even worse than me?"

A woman engrossed in a game forgets that there's someone she likes beside her; she needs to be mindful of her image.

When she came to her senses, she turned her head and met Ye Jianming's smiling eyes.

Zhao Rong quickly sat up straight, tidied her hair in front of the computer screen, and then said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I lost my composure. That's just how I am when I do things; if I get too engrossed, I become completely absorbed in it, and you'll see how ridiculous I am."

"No, she's quite cute," Ye Jianming said calmly, his expression suggesting he wasn't lying.

"Don't you think I'm crazy?" Zhao Rong asked incredulously, thinking that rich second-generation guys all liked the quiet and gentle type of girl.

"I'm even more extreme than you when I play games. I've smashed countless mice and keyboards. Just think, I'm a pro player, helping my friends practice so I can play against newbies." Ye Jianming genuinely felt that Zhao Rong's behavior was normal.

After discovering that the man didn't mind, Zhao Rong became even more uninhibited, and she wanted nothing more than to hook her arm around Ye Jianming's shoulder.

Reason reminded her not to overdo her movements.

Zhao Rong chuckled and said, "I can be both still and active. Ye Jianming, is it easy to lose control of your emotions when playing games?"

Ye Jianming nodded: "Yeah, today was alright. You didn't see those arrogant people who wouldn't listen to what was said via voice message and caused the whole team to be wiped out by one person."

The two started talking about games again.

Ye Jianming discovered that he could talk about anything with Zhao Rong.

He invited Zhao Rong to have lunch at the coffee shop at noon.

Zhao Rong sent Zhou Luo a picture of a plate with the coffee shop's logo.

Fu Jingchen's company.

Zhou Luo delivered lunch to the man and also brought some cut fruit for her colleagues.

Some people call her Miss Zhou, while others call her the boss's wife.

Zhou Luo said, "Just call me by my name; it's more friendly that way."

She even ate fruit with her employees.

Fu Jingchen waited in the office for a while but the woman didn't come. When he pushed the door open, he found Zhou Luo chatting happily with everyone.

During the lunch break, Fu Jingchen didn't say anything.

He walked over and coughed twice: "Zhou Luo, do you want to go for a walk?"

"No, I want to chat with Sister Liu and the others for a while," Zhou Luo refused without hesitation.

As expected, what men crave is the thrill of conquest. In the past, Zhou Luo would come to his office as soon as she arrived at the company, which Fu Jingchen found annoying because she was clingy. After their engagement, every time Zhou Luo came over, she would chat with her colleagues in the outer office for a while before finally coming to see him.

Fu Jingchen felt ignored.

He made up an excuse to get Zhou Luo to accompany him, but was rejected by the woman in public. Doesn't he have any pride?

Fu Jingchen's eyes swept over the people chatting with Zhou Luo, his gaze filled with murderous intent.

Everyone knew the boss was unhappy.

Liu Yi took the lead and said, "Zhou Luo, President Fu is calling you. Go ahead, we need to get back to work."

"Everyone, return to your positions."

Several colleagues walked in different directions, saying as they went, "Let's continue during the break."

"Isn't there still twenty minutes left?" Zhou Luo glanced at the clock on the wall.

But everyone had already sat back down in front of their computers.

The employees all act according to the boss's mood, so Zhou Luo couldn't make things difficult for them. She followed Fu Jingchen downstairs.

"I'm engaged, so I'm not important anymore?" Fu Jingchen said with displeasure.

Zhou Luo poked the man's heart: "You have to speak from the heart. When have I ever thought you weren't important? Isn't chatting with colleagues also to build good relationships so that they'll be wholeheartedly dedicated to the company?"

Fu Jingchen scoffed, "So I should thank you? I don't care, from now on you have to come to my office first when you come to the company."

Zhou Luo scoffed.

“Okay, I’ll let you know first from now on. Did you drag me down just for a walk?” Zhou Luo took Fu Jingchen’s arm.

——

Table tennis hall.

There were no students during the day, so Lao Deng taught Han Yue how to play ball.

He held Han Yue's hand and slowly gestured.

Han Yue has some basic skills.

"You picked it up pretty quickly. With a few more days of practice with me, you could be a teaching assistant," Lao Deng praised.

Han Yue put down her racket: "Do you want me to have another job as a teaching assistant? No way."

"I was just kidding," Old Deng chuckled.

When Han Yue has nothing to do, she will watch how Lao Deng teaches his students. If she has time after class, she will play a couple of games with Lao Deng.

Rong Yan passed by after get off work and took a look.

My mother-in-law actually started playing ping-pong, and her posture was quite cool.

“Mom, you’re getting younger and more energetic!” Rong Yan exclaimed. “Uncle Deng, my mom has become younger since she married you.”

"I'm young, okay?" Han Yue said without any modesty.

"Yes, have you eaten yet? Would you like to eat together?" Rong Yan asked.

"Sure, it's rare for us to be here early today. How about we go for grilled fish?" Han Yue had been thinking about this for a long time, but unfortunately, there were more and more students in the evenings, and she often couldn't leave until 9 pm.

"We're thinking the same thing. Where's Uncle Deng?"

"I'm fine with anything." Old Deng went along with everything Han Yue wanted; whatever Han Yue liked was also what he liked.

"Let's have grilled fish then. I'll send a message to Fu Jingsheng." Rong Yan booked a private room downstairs.

"Do Yunlei and the others have classes tonight? If not, come over and eat with us." Han Yue thought of her grandson.

"Okay, the teacher is already home. Let's pack some food to take back." Rong Yan had already thought of the children, but she had seen on the monitor that the tutor had already arrived and the evening class wouldn't start until eight o'clock.

Han Yue looked a little disappointed: "Okay, last time Xiao Lei wanted to eat grilled fish, but I couldn't leave, so I didn't go with him."

"Mom, another day," Rong Yan comforted her mother-in-law, holding her shoulder.

When Fu Jingsheng received his wife's message, he was in the workshop testing molds.

He Wei accompanied him.

Upon seeing the message notification on his phone, he replied, "There'll be about an hour left. You guys eat first."

Although everything was going smoothly at Xingda, Fu Jingsheng was still worried and would inquire about everything from the workshop to the logistics department.

He Wei said that with the company getting smaller, there are actually more things to do, and he should trust his subordinates.

But Fu Jingsheng felt uncomfortable whenever he was idle; he only felt at ease when he went down to the workshop.
