Chapter 510 Extra Chapter (10): Formal Cohabitation

Rong Yan went to the restaurant first, placed an order, and waited for Fu Jingsheng while eating.

Old Deng and Han Yue passed food to each other, and seeing her mother-in-law's happy smile, Rong Yan was genuinely happy for her.

Halfway through the fish, Fu Jingsheng finally arrived.

He sat down next to his wife, kissed her cheek as if no one else was around, and then apologized to everyone for being late.

Rong Yan lowered her head in embarrassment.

After getting off work, Fu Jingchen's car unconsciously drove towards the nursing home.

Once outside, he realized he had gone to the wrong place when the security guard checked his license plate.

The man reversed the car and parked it on the side of the road. The last time the family had a meal together was at his adoptive mother's birthday party.

He called his adoptive mother and learned that she was eating out. Fu Jingchen asked, "Mom, I miss you. Can I come over to see you?"

“Sure, you know Uncle Deng’s shop, it’s the grilled fish restaurant on the second floor,” Han Yue replied.

Fu Jingchen then reunited with Zhou Luo and his adoptive mother.

When they arrived, everyone had almost finished eating. To keep Fu Jingchen company, Fu Jingsheng ordered a little more food.

After greeting everyone, Zhou Luo remained silent throughout the entire process.

Rong Yan felt a little awkward sitting there. After half an hour, she made an excuse that she needed to go back and talk to her teacher, and then left the restaurant.

Fu Jingsheng paid the bill and followed.

Han Yue finished eating with her adopted son and the others.

Han Yue and Lao Deng rode their bikes home.

Fu Jingchen went to Zhou Luo's place.

To save money, Zhou Luo plans to cancel her rented apartment.

Zhou Luo sat cross-legged on the floor of the walk-in closet, where she had only lived for two months.

I signed a one-year contract with Fu Jingchen out of spite, but before I even finished a quarter of the lease, the landlord was understanding and agreed to refund the rent.

The house is a bit small, but I decorated it all myself.

To save on rent, she rented a simply furnished apartment and added a little something every week, which is how it ended up looking the way it is now.

Zhou Luo felt safer here, but since Fu Jingchen was constantly running back and forth, there would always be an empty space, which was unnecessary. That's why Zhou Luo agreed to cancel the package.

Since the two were already engaged, they were not considered to be living together before marriage.

Fu Jingchen packed his clothes. He didn't have many things in Zhou Luo's small home, and he quickly forgot about them.

Zhou Luo hesitated when packing the food.

“Fu Jingchen, I still think it’s not a good idea to cancel the lease. If we have a fight after I go to your place and you kick me out, I’ll have nowhere to go.”

Fu Jingchen stroked the back of the woman's head: "How could I possibly kick you out? I swear, never. I'll only come out on my own."

Seeing his confident demeanor, Zhou Luo believed him.

The two officially started living together.

——

The kindergarten celebration was held as scheduled on Friday.

Before dawn, the children got up, changed into their favorite clothes, and went to call their families.

Rong Yan and the others woke up early as well. It was the first time the whole family had participated in a school activity together, and the woman dared not take it lightly.

She sat in front of the mirror and noticed that the person in the mirror looked a little nervous. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself down.

After washing his hair, Fu Jingsheng came out and rested his chin on his wife's shoulder: "Rong Yan, I'm afraid I won't dance well."

He was just as worried as Rong Yan.

Rong Yan held her husband's hand: "We've seen all kinds of big scenes. Just perform normally, and there won't be any problems."

The woman comforted her husband, but she was actually feeling uneasy inside.

Rong Shiyu came over and knocked on the door.

"Come in," Fu Jingsheng said.

The girl in the princess dress opened the door, twirled around, and asked, "Mommy, do I look pretty?"

"It looks good," Rong Yan replied with a smile.

Then Rong Shimo and the others came over to show off their outfits.

Rongyan always only pays the money; the children are responsible for selecting and styling the items themselves.

She discovered that all four children had good taste.

"Beautiful." Rong Yan hugged her daughter.

"Xiaoyun, take your younger brother and sister out, let's change our clothes."

"Okay." Fu Yunlei took his younger brother and sister's hands and left the room.

Rong Yan stuffed her performance costume into her bag; she was too embarrassed to go out in it.

Today she is going to dance a folk dance.

The clothes have many ornaments hanging on them, making a tinkling sound when you move them.

Rong Yan knew she was just there to make up the numbers, and she didn't dare to hope for a good performance. She just wanted to make sure she didn't hold the children back.

Fu Jingsheng was also dressed in casual clothes.

As soon as he arrived at school, the dads who dance belly dancing came over and pulled him to rehearse one more time.

Han Yue and Lao Deng arrived at the classroom shortly afterward.

Old Deng, with his headband tied and wearing martial arts clothes, stood out among the grandfathers.

Han Yue was wearing a rose-red cheongsam; although she was over fifty, she looked like she was in her thirties.

Rong Yan noticed that the other grandmothers were all casting envious glances at her.

Some people even came up to Han Yue and praised her, saying, "Isn't this your aunt? She doesn't look like your grandmother at all."

Even before the Fu family members started performing, they had already attracted everyone's attention.

Even the teacher praised them, which shows how much they valued this activity.

The parents took their seats according to their children's seats.

Waiting to gather in the multi-functional classroom.

Fu Yunlei brought over a little girl.

"Mom, this is my girlfriend, Little Grape," the boy said in a childish voice.

Rong Yan almost spat out a mouthful of blood.

"What?" she asked, her eyes wide.

Fu Yunlei repeated it again.

Fu Jingsheng slapped his son on the shoulder: "Do you even know what a girlfriend is?"

“I understand, it’s the kind of relationship where you’re going to get married in the future. Xiao Ting has one too.” Fu Yunlei didn’t think he had said anything wrong.

Rong Yan smiled wryly and guided, "Let go of her hand first. It would be bad if your parents saw this. They would think we taught her this. Xiao Lei, this is called a female friend, not a girlfriend. When you get home from school, Mom will explain the difference to you. You have to promise me that you won't say this again."

The little boy scratched his head, not quite understanding.

Han Yue, who was listening nearby, was just as amused and exasperated as Rong Yan. At such a young age, he already had a girlfriend and knew about marriage—who did he take after? Yes, definitely his father.

So she beckoned to her grandson: "Xiaoyun, come here. Their parents are here, so don't talk nonsense."

Fu Yunlei didn't understand. It's just having a girlfriend, what's wrong with talking about it? He and Xiao Putao were even going to perform a show together, a children's song duet.

Little Grape's mother was not far away. Seeing that her daughter's hand was being held by other boys, she came over awkwardly and brought her daughter back to her side.

Little Grape was also unhappy. She and Fu Yunlei were supposed to hold hands and perform, but no one wanted them to hold hands.

"Mom, the first program is me and Xiao Lei, we have to hold hands," Little Grape muttered.

"Oh, the performance requires holding hands, then go ahead." Little Grape's mother was quite open-minded.

After the children's performance, the audience erupted in applause.

Rong Yan and the others were truly surprised that their son and daughter could sing opera. As soon as they opened their mouths, everyone was stunned. Their voices were extremely penetrating, and with their little opera costumes, they looked just like professionals.

Han Yue stood up and applauded.

Looking at the audience's reaction, Fu Yunlei and his group knew their performance was a success, and the four of them lined up and bowed to express their gratitude.
