Chapter 78 is interesting.

After Rong Yan finished posting, she felt refreshed and invigorated; it had been a long time since she had cursed anyone like that.

Xie Ke was quite satisfied after reading it: "Tsk tsk tsk, as an observer, I even want to shed tears of sympathy. Miss Rong's essay is so vivid and expressive."

The way the man spoke with a crooked mouth made Rong Yan feel inexplicably disgusted: "Where are the documents? She reached out for them."

"Here you go." Xie Ke pushed the file bag stained with medicine to Rong Yan.

The woman opened it and glanced at it, but fainted after only two pages.

Ye Jianming panicked when he couldn't find Rong Yan's whereabouts after a long time, so he called Fu Jingsheng.

In Fu's office, He Wei was holding his phone and telling his boss, "Madam wrote an essay criticizing you."

To prove that the essay was written by her, Rong Yan added some of the things she often said to Fu Jingsheng.

Even though it wasn't posted from Rong Yan's own account, Fu Jingsheng was still certain that it was written by Rong Yan herself.

The man's lips curled into a smirk; it turned out Rong Yan was emotional.

"President Fu, you've become synonymous with scumbag. How can you still laugh? Many people below say they'd throw rotten eggs at you if they met you." After seeing that accusation, He Wei was filled with hatred for Fu Jingsheng.

Even though he knew that Fu Jingsheng and Qin Mengyu were completely innocent.

"Her writing is quite good." Fu Jingsheng tapped the table with his index finger. "I didn't expect her to write such good essays. She's definitely got the scumbag guy persona set up."

"Mr. Fu, you haven't been scolded to the point of being stupid, have you?" He Wei bent down and looked at Fu Jingsheng carefully.

“It’s quite interesting. It’s been very amusing to watch her jumping around like that these past few days,” Fu Jingsheng said.

While the man was still indulging in self-admiration, believing that Rong Yan was going to die for him, Ye Jianming called.

He immediately stopped laughing. Ye Jianming and Rong Yan had a good relationship, so he wouldn't stand up for Rong Yan and come to scold him too.

Rong Yan could scold him, but others couldn't; Fu Jingsheng simply hung up.

Ye Jianming called twice more before the man finally answered impatiently.

"Fu Jingsheng, Rong Yan is missing. She disappeared from the hotel this morning without any reason. I've been looking for her for ages but haven't found her," Ye Jianming said anxiously.

"What? You two are at a hotel?" Fu Jingsheng caught on to the key point.

“Yes, she’s gone from the Harbin Airport Hotel. I’ve reported it to the police.” Ye Jianming repeated each word carefully.

Fu Jingsheng licked his cheek with his tongue. What kind of little trick is this now? He posted a long essay and disappeared, and then he posted another one at night, saying he would livestream himself jumping off a building because he didn't get an explanation?

interesting.

"She just posted a long essay, all fine, cursing me with great fervor. I bet she's hiding somewhere eating and drinking right now," Fu Jingsheng said casually.

Ye Jianming went back to take a look, and it really was true. But given Rong Yan's personality, how could she possibly publicly accuse Fu Jingsheng?

"Don't you think this doesn't look like Rong Yan?" he asked.

“What’s not like her?” Fu Jingsheng listed the nicknames he and Rong Yan used in private, and said with certainty that it was definitely her.

That short essay was posted an hour ago. The ideas were clear, and there really seemed to be no problem with it. Was I just too nervous? Rong Yan was just in a bad mood because she saw the news this morning, so she went out for a walk?

"Ye Jianming, what are you and Rong Yan doing in Harbin? You two even stayed at the same hotel. Were you the one riding a bike with her last night?" Fu Jingsheng finally got to the point.

"What's it to you? I'm hanging up." Ye Jianming hung up the phone immediately.

He continued to dial Rong Yan's number, but still could not get through.

Fearing something might go wrong, Ye Jianming asked a few friends to track down the ID of that short essay.

Xie Ke abandoned Rong Yan in an abandoned old house and went home.

The man thought to himself: If Rong Yan starves to death and is thrown into the sea, no one will find her.

He sent a message to Qin Mengyu, implying that he had succeeded and that his hands were clean, so she could rest assured.

Rong Yan's scathing rebuke of Fu Jingsheng was tantamount to a complete falling out. Xie Ke instructed Qin Mengyu to comfort Fu Jingsheng at this moment to show his magnanimity. Once the deed was done, Xie Ke would then catch them in the act, which would completely ruin Fu Jingsheng's image.

Qin Mengyu bought desserts and went to Fu Jingsheng's office.

The woman, abandoning her usual strong-woman image, spoke with extreme gentleness, crying and apologizing, saying that she was wrong and that she hadn't kept her distance from Fu Jingsheng, which was why Fu Jingsheng had been scolded like this.

She was willing to clarify and explain to everyone that Fu Jingsheng had no improper thoughts about her.

Fu Jingsheng stopped him: "A person with a clear conscience has nothing to fear."

The woman cried herself unconscious.

When He Wei came in, he saw Fu Jingsheng squatting on the ground, holding Qin Mengyu in his arms.

"Boss!" he called out.

"She fainted, I'll take her to the hospital." Fu Jingsheng prepared to pick up Qin Mengyu.

“I’ll take her.” He Wei took the woman from the boss.

When Qin Mengyu first arrived in Tiancheng, she was quite capable and healthy. How come she is getting weaker and weaker now? Could it be that the boss can absorb yang energy?

Qin Mengyu's attempt to feign unconsciousness failed, and she suddenly woke up midway: "Assistant He, what's wrong with me?" the woman asked, pressing her head.

"If you faint, I'll take you to the hospital."

"I stayed up too late yesterday, and then I saw those news reports this morning. I got really angry. I'm fine now. Take me back to the hotel." Qin Mengyu said, feigning weakness.

She was perfectly healthy, and going to the hospital would inevitably involve a series of tests. If Fu Jingsheng had taken her, she could have just endured some discomfort as part of her physical examination, but Fu Jingsheng didn't come.

"That won't do. I promised the boss I'd take you for a proper check-up. Otherwise, when we get back to Harbin, everyone will think we've neglected you." He Wei felt that this woman didn't seem to be really sick.

"I don't like going to the hospital. I'll tell President Fu to turn your car around and take me home." Qin Mengyu's voice suddenly rose, but then she softened, realizing something was wrong. "Assistant He, it's my body, I know what I'm doing. Just do as I say."

He Wei slammed on the brakes and turned around to express his dissatisfaction.

Qin Mengyu was hit on the head and wanted to get angry, but she couldn't show it. It seemed that He Wei wasn't on her side, so she had to find a way to get rid of him.

——

When Rong Yan woke up, she was in a dilapidated house with her hands tied to a pillar. The roof of the house was in disrepair, and sunlight dappled through the holes in the roof.

Rong Yan didn't even dare to use force, fearing that if she did, the roof would collapse and crush her to death.

The information is incorrect.

That man is most likely with Qin Mengyu.

What are they trying to do? Is their long essay accusing Fu Jingsheng also part of their conspiracy to smear Fu Jingsheng's image?

Rong Yan turned her head and looked around. This should be a living room. There were many paintings on the walls. Above the bedroom door was a photo frame with several photos inside, but because it was too far away, she couldn't see the people in the photo album clearly.

The living room door was wide open, and the yard was overgrown with weeds, from which the sound of waves seemed to drift from time to time.

She didn't know where she was; it must be quite remote.

Do they want to lock her up here and let her starve to death?

Rong Yan tried to move, but found her hands were tied very tightly. Was she really going to wait to die? She was afraid she would be scared to death before she even starved to death.

Without lights at night, she couldn't possibly stay up until dawn in such an environment.

Rong Yan screamed for help.
