Where is this place?
Where is he?
When Bai Dajiang regained consciousness, he was completely dazed. He turned his head to the left and right and found himself surrounded by tall grass on both sides, and under his body was also grass.
His mind went blank again. How did he get here?
"Cough cough!" Just as he remembered, he immediately started coughing violently, his throat feeling like it was on fire.
He remembered—he was knocked unconscious by that bitch Bai Nuo! —Although it was Long Er who did it, Bai Dajiang pinned the blame on Bai Nuo.
"Bai Nuo!" Bai Dajiang coughed for a while before finally stopping. Then, he sat up from the ground, gritting his teeth and calling out Bai Nuo's name, startling countless water birds perched nearby.
After changing his clothes, Bai Nuo returned to the East Riverbank, where the two brothers, Long Er and Long San, had already collected half a bag of food under Bai Yu's guidance.
Bai Nuo also joined the battle, picked up some from one river, took the items back, and then moved on to another small ditch to pick up more.
By the afternoon, Bai Nuo and Bai Yu had carried their belongings back home. When they returned, Aunt Liu and the old woman were stunned.
"What is this?" Aunt Liu quickly came over and took the sack from Bai Nuo's hands.
"Put it in the middle of the yard!" Bai Nuo wiped away his sweat as soon as he was freed.
Four people picked up three sacks.
Bai Bainuo and Bai Yu carried one bag, while Long Er and Long San each took one bag.
Long Er and Long San put the sacks they were carrying on the ground and shook the water off their hands.
After putting down the sack in her hand, Aunt Liu fetched some water and said to the two of them, "Brothers, come and wash your hands!"
Long Er looked down and realized that his hands and feet were covered in mud.
Long Er and the others went over to wash their hands and feet, and Bai Nuo took out all the large buckets—specially made for holding river clams. He untied all the burlap sacks on the ground, poured the river clams into them, filling seven or eight buckets in total, and then added water to keep them alive.
"What is this?" Aunt Liu came closer and asked curiously.
“This is a river clam!” Bai Nuo said calmly. “You can’t tell anyone what you see here!” Aunt Liu had never seen a river clam before, but she couldn’t hide it from her now.
When there were few things, we could put them in the room, but now that we have so many things, there's no room left in the room.
"I understand!" Bai Nuo looked at her with a very serious expression, and Aunt Liu quickly assured her, "Girl, I won't tell anyone, don't worry, I'm not a gossip."
"Bring me a few stools!" Bai Nuo said calmly. "Also, a hammer and nails. And get a few large basins from the kitchen."
She's about to start opening river clams.
Aunt Liu hurried to the kitchen and, as instructed, brought over the large basins and then went to the main room to get a hammer.
"How did you bring so much back all at once?" The old woman looked at it for a while, and after Aunt Liu went inside, she wheeled herself over.
"I need it!" Bai Nuo said calmly, glancing at the sun and adding, "Don't be here, it's so sunny." Although it was afternoon, the sun was still very strong.
"Let me help you!" the old woman said, trying to bend down, but she couldn't even bend her back.
Bai Nuo thought for a moment, then got up, found a wooden board, placed it on the old woman's legs, and supported her with the wheelchair handles on both sides.
"Miss, everything is ready!"
"Alright, everyone come and help!" Bai Nuo said calmly, calling Long Er and Long San, and even Aunt Liu, to sit down.
Grandma and Bai Yu, of course, need no introduction; they had always followed him to open river clams, so he didn't need to teach them.
There were only three newcomers to demonstrate to them.
Bai Nuo used a hammer to pry open the clam, then used his hands to forcefully break it open. He then began to feel around inside the clam, and with a squeeze, a large pearl came out.
Long Er and the others followed the same method after seeing it.
For a time, the entire Bai family home was filled with the sounds of hammering and banging, and the people were extremely busy.
"You really are something..." Just when they were busy working, a voice suddenly came from the doorway, interrupting their actions.
Bai Nuo and the others looked up and saw Bai Dalin standing at the door, staring at them with shock and anger.
In this courtyard, there are unopened river mussels, river mussel shells, river mussel meat, and pearls that have been dug out.
When Bai Dalin came in, he saw it all.
Bai Nuo looked at him.
He also looked at Bai Nuo.
No one moved.
"I'm going to tell the adults that all these things are indeed with you! I'm going to tell Miss Li!" Bai Dalin said fiercely, then turned and left.
Since losing his job, Bai Dalin hadn't been to town and had no idea what it was like, nor did he know that Bai Nuo had opened a multi-treasure shop.
Naturally, no one knew that Li Jinyu had already bought quite a few pearls.
Right now, he has only one thought: to tell Li Jinyu so that she can severely punish Bai Nuo!
Bai Dalin turned and left. Bai Nuo didn't move either, but gestured with his eyes to leave Bai Dalin and Long San. Long San understood, stood up, and walked out quickly.
Bai Nuo and the others only heard a voice, "What do you want to do?", and then they saw Long San carrying Bai Dalin back.
