Chapter 117 Bai Dalin's House Arrest

Long Er quickly closed the door.

"Nobody saw it, right?" Bai Nuo asked.

Long San shook his head. "No! Even his house was closed. I don't know if he heard anything or not."

"Alright!" Bai Nuo nodded, looking at Bai Dalin and saying, "What did you just say? You want to sue me?"

"What do you want to do?" Bai Dalin looked at her in horror. "I am your father, you can't kill me!" He felt more and more that this daughter was not on good terms with him.

Not content with just looking at Bai Nuo, Bai Dalin then turned his gaze to his grandmother, "Mother, save me! I don't want to die! Please save me! Do you want me to die?"

"Nono won't kill you, don't worry!" To everyone's surprise, the old woman didn't even look up, and continued tapping the river clams, only saying a few words indifferently.

Ever since she got injured, she has given up on Bai Dalin. People say that raising children is for old age security, but it seems to have no effect on her at all.

It's not as effective as having grandchildren.

How could she possibly hurt her granddaughter's feelings? Bai Nuo wasn't trying to kill Bai Dalin, so why was she so worried?

Seeing that the old woman's help wasn't working, Bai Dalin turned to Bai Yu for help and cried out urgently, "Bai Yu, Bai Yu, save your father! Your sister is going to kill your father! If I die, you'll have no father!"

"I only need my sister and grandma!" Bai Yu said indifferently without even raising his eyes.

He no longer expects anything from his father.

Anyway, he has so many people who love him, so it doesn't matter whether he has a father or not.

"You can't kill me!" Bai Dalin was almost in despair. Knowing that it was useless to find these people, he looked at Bai Nuo in terror. "No matter what, I'm still your father. If you kill me, you'll be executed by slow slicing!"

"Don't worry," Bai Nuo chuckled. "You don't need me to risk my life. By the way, what were you about to say? You wanted to sue me?"

"No!" Bai Dalin exclaimed in panic, "You misheard!"

“But I heard it!” Bai Nuo looked at Bai Dalin calmly. “You said you were going to sue me! You were going to expose everything I have here and have the magistrate punish me, is that right?”

No!

"Sigh, I'm sorry to trouble you, but what I have here is indeed a secret, something that can't be exposed to the light of day!" Bai Nuo sighed.

"What do you want to do? What do you want to do?" Bai Dalin was already flustered, and hearing this made him even more flustered.

"I didn't mean anything by it!" Bai Nuo said. "Relax, I think you like my house quite a bit, I just wanted to invite you to come back and stay for a while."

"I don't like it here!" Bai Dalin quickly shook his head. "Let me go back!"

"I'm afraid that won't work!" Bai Nuo laughed. "Uncle Long San, thank you for your trouble!"

Without saying a word, Long San chopped Bai Dalin in the neck with a chop, and Bai Dalin passed out.

"Ah!" Aunt Liu cried out as Bai Dalin fainted.

Bai Nuo turned her head and gave Aunt Liu a cold look. Aunt Liu closed her eyes under Bai Nuo's indifferent gaze.

Long San caught Bai Dalin's limp body and asked Bai Nuo, "What do we do now?"

"Send him to the woodshed and lock him up," Bai Nuo said calmly, sitting back down on the stool. He instructed Aunt Liu, "From now on, you'll be responsible for bringing him his meals. Don't let him go hungry. Let him eat whatever we eat!"

"Girl..." Aunt Liu called out anxiously, trying to remind Bai Nuo that Bai Dalin was her father, and that what Bai Nuo was doing was wrong.

"Shut up!" Before Bai Nuo could speak, the old woman said coldly. Seeing Liu Da Niang's surprised look, the old woman's voice softened, "These things are very important to us, and we can't let others know about them so soon."

The old woman had been selling embroidery for a long time, so she naturally knew what Bai Nuo was worried about.

Aunt Liu immediately shut her mouth and dared not say another word.

"Aunt Liu!" Bai Nuo said calmly, "Don't worry, I just don't want others to know about my affairs so soon. Once this matter is over, I will naturally let him go. I know he is my father, and I won't implicate you!" Aunt Liu was, after all, a helper hired from outside, unlike Long Yi and the others.

No matter what, Long Yi has connections with them, and Bai Nuo can trust them, but it's different with Aunt Liu; Aunt Liu can't force her.

As long as Aunt Liu doesn't reveal her secret and hurt them, Bai Nuo doesn't care.

Aunt Liu nodded quickly, "I understand, I won't tell anyone about what you did."

Looking at Bai Nuo, Aunt Liu found him quite terrifying. If he could treat his own father like this, what would he do to her, an outsider? She subconsciously became smart and decided not to confront Bai Nuo, but to do whatever he said.

"Alright, hurry up and help!"

"Do you need to drill holes?" As darkness fell, Bai Nuo and the others finally finished processing all the river mussels. They exchanged seven or eight buckets of mussels for two buckets of pearls. Bai Yu looked at the two buckets of pearls and asked in a low voice.

"Let's not use it for now!" Bai Nuo said calmly. The pearl tray hadn't returned yet, so Bai Nuo wasn't sure how to drill the hole. She could only leave it for now and decide how to drill the hole once the accessories returned.

Now one issue is pricing.

Since this involves gold and silver, how should the price be determined?

She needs to think about it some more.

"Go cook now!" Bai Nuo said calmly. "Auntie, cook these tonight, and wash them with salt before cooking."

"Why!"

Aunt Liu agreed, and Bai Nuo took the pearls to the well to wash them.
