After putting on her wedding dress, Aunt Liu pushed Grandma in and asked her to comb Jiang San Niang's hair.
The task of combing a bride's hair is usually done by either the bride's mother or a woman of good fortune. However, Jiang San Niang had no parents and no close friends in the town, so the task was assigned to the old woman.
Before Jiang San Niang and Jiang Qiao'er got married, Grandma recognized them as her goddaughters, so Grandma was considered Jiang San Niang's elder.
As soon as the old woman arrived, Jiang San Niang stood up to greet her. The old woman quickly raised her hand and smiled, "Good child, sit down quickly and let Grandma comb your hair."

Lu Ying stood panting in front of Jiang San Niang's boudoir and said helplessly, "San Niang, please open the door."
Bai Nuo's smiling voice rang out from inside, "We can open the door, but you have to give us a red envelope! We won't open the door without one!"
Hu Mingmei handed over the prepared red envelope, and Lu Ying quickly took it, saying, "There's a red envelope, there's a red envelope!"
The door opened a crack, and Jiang Qiao'er poked her head out, whispering, "Give it to me!"

"Didn't I teach you all this before?" Bai Nuo said with a smile, "Sing and the door will open; don't sing and it won't open!"
Lu Ying racked her brains, and finally stammered out a popular, well-known love song that was trending at the time. She was a little nervous and sang a little off-key, which made the girls inside burst into laughter again.
Originally, Lu Ying thought that singing the song would be enough, but who knew that the girls would ask many more questions, such as what Jiang San Niang's favorite food was, what size clothes she wore, who did the housework, and who managed the money she earned. Lu Ying answered them one by one before they opened the door.
As soon as the door opened, everyone breathed a sigh of relief and rushed inside.
"Wife, the auspicious time is almost here, come with me!" Lu Ying picked up Jiang San Niang in one go.
Jiang San Niang wrapped her arms around Lu Ying's neck and was held in his embrace. She whispered, "I've lost one of my shoes!"
Upon hearing this, Lu Ying quickly turned Jiang San Niang around so that Hu Mingmei and the others wouldn't see Jiang San Niang's feet, and looked at Jiang San Niang with suspicion.
Jiang San Niang said shyly, "The shoes are inside this house. I can only go with you after I find them."
Upon hearing this, Lu Ying reluctantly put Jiang San Niang down. Well, this is yet another test. I never expected that the final test would be here.
"Let's go!" Xia Donglai said hurriedly as he watched Lu Ying pick up the person and then put them down again. "Why aren't we moving?"
"One of my shoes is missing, and I need to find it!" Lu Ying said helplessly.
Bai Nuo and the others covered their mouths and chuckled softly.
