Chen Qiuling coaxed Hu Lingling repeatedly until Hu Lingling calmed down and believed that Bai Nuo had lied to her and that Bai Nuo's purpose was to make them happy. After saying a lot, Chen Qiuling finally persuaded Hu Lingling to go back home.
"Chunhua!" Only Chen Qiuling and Chen Zhi remained in the hall. Chen Qiuling called Chunhua in.
Chunhua came in from outside and stood at the entrance of the hall. "Madam!"

“Mother…” Chen Zhi called out, but Chen Qiuling interrupted him, “Hu Lingling, you should just bear with it. After she gives birth to a son or daughter for you, then you can deal with her.”
Chen Zhi mumbled, "But I..." He wasn't even capable of consummating his marriage, so how could he have a child?
"Silly child!" Chen Qiuling looked at Chen Zhi with affection. "If you can't do it, you still have your father! As long as she gives birth to the child, we can just tell everyone that it's yours, isn't that enough?"
"But will this work?" Chen Zhi asked.

"Alright, stop crying!" Jiang Sanniang said softly. "The door is about to open, so cheer up and get ready!"
Qinghe wiped away her tears. "It's just dawn. Do you want to sleep a little longer?"
"What's going on on the third floor?" Bai Nuo asked.
"All the ingredients are ready on the third floor, but we didn't know when you would be back, so we didn't prepare any morning tea for you," Qinghe said.
When they returned yesterday, they didn't tell the people at Duobao Pavilion, so they were still just preparing the ingredients and hadn't made any pastries yet.
