"You're utterly inhuman!" Zheng Qing'er didn't care. She wasn't Madam Zheng; she had already broken ties with Bai Nuo long ago and didn't need to maintain appearances. Upon hearing that Bai Nuo had rejected their request, she became even more furious.
"We are all Ming-gege's family, so naturally we should stay by his side. How could Ming-gege marry a vicious woman like you who doesn't care about him at all!" Zheng Qing'er said angrily. "Get out of my way, I want to go in and see Ming-gege!"
Just a moment ago she was called Second Brother, and now she's called Brother Ming. Why do young girls these days like to recognize brothers so much? Zheng Qing'er walked towards the bedside, but Bai Nuo stopped her. Zheng Qing'er didn't hold back and immediately started fighting with Bai Nuo.
But how can a pampered young lady and a down-to-earth girl compare in terms of strength? Bai Nuo easily stopped Zheng Qing'er.
Zheng Qing'er was stopped by this woman several times, and without thinking, she slapped her.

Bai Nuo nonchalantly withdrew his hand, "That's exactly what I was going to do!"
Seeing her beloved niece being beaten, Madam Zheng was both heartbroken and furious. She stepped forward to protect Zheng Qing'er and shouted angrily, "Bai Nuo, what do you want to do?"
The old woman beside her also came up, looking at her with an unfriendly expression.
Bai Nuo said calmly, "She disturbed the doctor, shouldn't she be hit?" Madam Zheng was about to speak when Bai Nuo said, "Don't tell me you care about your husband. Don't you know how serious his illness is every time? What are you doing here now? If you really care about him, why couldn't you wait a moment longer? Why did you have to come now? I think you're here to kill him. What's the point of hitting her? If anything happens to my husband, I'll be even more ruthless!"
Bai Nuo's gaze was fierce, and his tone was chilling. Madam Zheng was speechless for a long time before she could utter a single word, "Fine!" She repeated it several times but couldn't say anything else. Bai Nuo didn't know if Madam Zheng had nothing to say or if she was just angry.
"Lu Ying!" Bai Nuo called out. Lu Ying stood silently beside Bai Nuo. Bai Nuo said, "Send Second Aunt and Miss Cousin back. Close the courtyard gate tightly. If anyone dares to come in at this time, throw them out. I'll cover for you if anything happens!"
"Yes!" Lu Ying replied in a deep voice, pulling one of them by the hand. Madam Zheng was unable to resist. She looked at Bai Nuo and said angrily, "Let go, I can walk by myself!"
Lu Ying then released her, but still watched her cautiously.
After Madam Zheng left, Jiang San Niang sat down next to Bai Nuo and said softly, "You shouldn't have broken ties with her!"
"What else can we do but tear off the mask?" Bai Nuo said with a bitter smile. She had planned to keep playing the innocent girl when she came back, waiting for Duobaoge to reopen and for Hu Mingmei to take back all of the family business, or even just half or a third. However, Hu Mingmei fell ill at this critical juncture. And to make matters worse, he let these two women in.
They weren't interested in whether Hu Mingmei was better or not; they wanted to know who had treated Hu Mingmei.
Let's just tear off the mask of civility. We were all going to get to this point eventually anyway, so let's get to this point sooner and end it sooner.
Jiang San Niang didn't know how to comfort Bai Nuo, so she silently patted Bai Nuo's shoulder.
"Aunt, are we just going to let this go?" After inviting Madam Zheng and Zheng Qing'er out, Yuan Luying closed the gate. Madam Zheng walked from her own courtyard to Hu Mingmei's courtyard without a sedan chair, so she had to walk back. However, on the way back, she was angered by Bai Nuo, and her steps became very fast.
Zheng Qing'er followed beside her, shouting unwillingly.
Madam Zheng paused, turned around, and saw Zheng Qing'er looking at her pitifully, her face still red and swollen from the slap. Madam Zheng's anger was replaced by pity, and she raised her hand to cover Zheng Qing'er's face, asking softly, "Does it hurt?"
Zheng Qing'er's tears streamed down her face. She nodded through her tears and choked out, "It hurts! Aunt, this is the first time I've ever been hit! Aunt, you must help me teach that bitch a lesson. I won't let her get away with this. I'll make her wish she were dead!"
From childhood to adulthood, no one had ever spoken loudly to her, let alone hit her. Bai Nuo's slap to Zheng Qing'er was more of a humiliation.
Madam Zheng gently stroked Zheng Qing'er's face, but her eyes were filled with gloom. "Don't worry, Qing'er, your aunt will definitely get justice for you! Come, stop crying, come back with your aunt!"
Zheng Qing'er nodded with tears in her eyes.
After sending Zheng Qing'er back to her own courtyard, Madam Zheng did not stay there. Instead, she went out of the courtyard and went to Hu Haichuan's courtyard in front.
Hu Haichuan's courtyard, like the man himself, was extremely luxurious, with every corner exuding wealth.
As soon as she stepped into the courtyard, Hu Da, the servant who served Hu Haichuan, came up to greet her, "Madam, what brings you here?"
Madam Zheng was already holding back her anger, and upon hearing Hu Da's words, she immediately became unhappy. "What? Can't I, this lady, come to the master's courtyard?"
