Bai Nuo entered the place and naturally saw what was happening. Seeing Hu Mingmei kick the person away, although she didn't know what had happened, she felt a little relieved looking at Hu Mingmei's indifferent appearance, as well as his calm demeanor.
"What happened here? Why did Second Master call me here in such a hurry?" Bai Nuo asked Hu Mingmei softly.
Hu Mingmei pulled Bai Nuo to a chair before saying, "There is indeed something I want to ask Madam!"
Bai Nuo looked up at him.
"I've never interfered with matters concerning the inner quarters, but I invited you here today to ask you, Madam, where is this woman from? She came to my study and is harassing me!" Hu Mingmei said calmly, her face already showing anger.
Before Bai Nuo could speak, the woman pounced on him, rushing towards Bai Nuo and Hu Mingmei. "Second Master, you can't say that! I... I'm already yours, you can't just abandon me like this!"
After speaking with Hu Mingmei, she cried to Bai Nuo, "Madam, I only want to serve you by your side. Please grant my request!"
That sounds nice, but doesn't it still mean he wants to be Hu Mingmei's concubine?
Bai Nuo didn't move, but glanced at Granny Wang. Granny Wang had just married into the family and, although she was in charge of the household, she didn't recognize many of the people there. Coincidentally, she didn't know this person.
Jiang San Niang came in from outside at this moment. When Bai Nuo saw that it was her, he smiled and called Jiang San Niang to sit down next to him.

So Hu Mingmei also stood up.

She just said she wanted to serve Bai Nuo, and now she says she wants to serve Hu Mingmei. Isn't she just eager to become a concubine? She was being scolded by Wang Mama and was crying. However, she was still crying with tears streaming down her face, which made Bai Nuo feel sorry for her.
However, all Bai Nuo can do now is say "Holy crap!"

Does she not find herself disgusting, or does she think Hu Mingmei wouldn't find her disgusting?
After Granny Wang finished speaking, Hu Mingmei also said, "You barged into my study and took off your own clothes. What does it have to do with me?"

Bai Nuo suddenly asked.
"This servant..." The woman had only uttered two words when Bai Nuo abruptly interrupted her, "You're from Second Uncle's quarters, so you shouldn't call yourself a servant anymore. Tell me, what's your name?"
"My name is Mei'er, a name given to me by the Second Master!" Mei'er said softly.
"Do you have anything to add about what Second Master just said?" Bai Nuo asked, then sat back down in her chair. Hu Mingmei saw her sit down and followed suit. Jiang Sanniang saw Bai Nuo's posture and knew that Bai Nuo was going to deal with it, so she was not in a hurry to leave and also sat down.
The story about the old woman making sweet soup for them to drink was just Jiang San Niang trying to find an excuse for Bai Nuo to get away after seeing the situation and hearing a few words.
There was no sweet soup at all.
Mei'er's name was truly well-chosen. When Mei'er looked at Bai Nuo, Bai Nuo couldn't help but sigh. Huang Haichuan really knew how to change names. The name Mei'er seemed to have been born for this woman.
"When the Second Master moved into the Old Master's courtyard, didn't I tell all the women in the Second Master's courtyard to leave?" Bai Nuo asked Granny Wang. Shouldn't these concubines still be in the mansion?
"It was my negligence. I didn't find her during the check and thought she was already gone," Wang Mama said guiltily, her eyes practically brimming with tears as she looked at Mei'er.
