“Mei’er has always been here!” Mei’er said quickly. “When the Second Master moved to the Old Master’s courtyard, Mei’er happened to be feeling unwell and spent... spent the whole day in the outhouse, which is why she didn’t find me!”
Bai Nuo nodded, not wanting to argue about it too much. "You're the Second Master's man, and now that he's moved back, you should go back!"
"Ever since the Second Master brought me into the manor, he has never entered my room. I have always admired him, so please give me a chance, Madam," Mei'er said softly. After glancing at Hu Mingmei, she lowered her head shyly again.
"Did you tear your clothes off yourself?" Bai Nuo asked.
"No, it was Second Master who tore it off." Mei'er's voice became even lower.
Hu Mingmei was displeased upon hearing this. He snorted and wanted to speak, but Bai Nuo did not give him a chance. "Mei'er, do you know that if you enter the Second Master's room like this, you will be treated the same as the Second Master. You might even be worse off than if you stayed in the Second Master's room."
Mei'er said in a low voice, "This servant only wants to serve the Second Master, serve the Madam, and serve the future young master and young lady well. I have no other requests. As long as I can see the Second Master, that's enough!" Mei'er thought that Bai Nuo had relented, so she spoke even more sincerely.
Whether or not she can get Hu Mingmei now is not a big deal for Mei'er. With her charm, she doesn't believe she can't handle a sickly guy. As long as she can keep in touch with Hu Mingmei, Mei'er believes she will succeed one day.
"Very good!" Bai Nuo nodded. "It's good that you think that way. Granny, go and invite the Second Master over. Tell him that his concubine is in the study and we have something to say!"
Mei'er was completely stunned. "Why...why did you call the Second Master here?"
Bai Nuo laughed and said, "You are the Second Master's person. I took you from his side to be his concubine. Shouldn't I tell him first?"
