Unable to break free, Bai Dalin struggled all over, but Long Yi held him tightly, and Bai Dalin couldn't break free no matter what he did. The two brothers, Long Er and Long San, watched from the side, laughing and looking at Bai Dalin as if he were a clown.
To Bai Dalin, the laughter sounded like the three of them mocking him for being unemployed, jobless, and a useless man, and that this person was deliberately making fun of him!

When the two Long brothers saw that their eldest brother had been beaten, they surrounded him with unfriendly expressions.
Long Yi looked down at Bai Dalin and said coldly, "You're such a grown man, how come your words are like you've eaten shit, they all stink the same? You keep saying young girls are having affairs, didn't you have a mother to teach you?"
Upon hearing Long Yi's words, Bai Nuo silently thought to herself, "It's not that Bai Dalin didn't have a mother to teach him; it's that Bai Dalin abandoned his own mother, okay?"
"Who are you?" Bai Dalin lay on the ground, his back and buttocks throbbing with pain. But in front of these "enemies," he was unwilling to show it and had to endure it. He glared at Long Yi and the others and said, "Don't meddle in other people's business. I'm her father, and I'm disciplining my daughter!"
Long Yi and the others almost laughed when they heard Bai Dalin's words. What kind of father in the world is like him? Calling his daughter a little bitch, if his daughter is a little bitch, then what is he as the father? An old bitch?
"Stop talking nonsense!" Long Er couldn't stand it anymore and looked at Bai Dalin with sarcasm. "What kind of father is like you?"
Bai Dalin didn't want to talk to these roughnecks. He just looked at Bai Nuo and asked, "You have beads, right? Why didn't you give them to me? Do you know that I lost my job because of you? You have to take responsibility!"
"Why would I give you the beads if I have them?" Bai Nuo asked Bai Dalin with amusement. Seeing that Long Yi and the others were staring at her intently again, Bai Nuo quickly changed her tune, pretending not to notice the fervent gazes on her. "I don't have any now, but I did find a few beads. However, I gave them all to the magistrate's daughter. Didn't the magistrate's daughter say she wanted to reward the person who helped her find the beads handsomely? So I gave them to her. Why wouldn't I take the credit for myself and let you have it? Aren't we on good terms?" They even had a fight not long ago.
Bai Dalin was utterly devastated when he heard that Bai Nuo had no more beads, but his eyes lit up again when he heard that Bai Nuo had received Li Jinyu's reward. "Where is your reward? Give it to me!" A reward is better than nothing, and it can at least make up for his loss a little!
"The reward I want is for Miss Li to kick you out of the magistrate's office! Someone like you shouldn't have such a good job!" Bai Dalin should go back to farming, but Bai Dalin has never farmed before, and Bai Nuo thinks that Bai Dalin is likely to starve to death.
But starving to death would be better.
"You!" Bai Dalin choked, clenching his fists tightly. He leaped up from the ground and punched Bai Nuo in the face. "You're so vicious, just like your mother. You want to ruin me, don't you?"
Long San stood next to Bai Nuo. Seeing that Bai Nuo was about to be hit, he blocked Bai Dalin's fist and looked at Bai Dalin coldly, saying, "Brother, we're all helping her with the work right now. If you want to hit her, you should ask us first, okay?"
To hit a little girl in front of these grown men is incredibly disrespectful and shameless!
"If you curse my mother again, I'll cut your tongue out!" Bai Nuo was standing very close to Bai Dalin. After hearing Bai Dalin curse Jiang Wanyin again, she slapped him across the face. Then, grabbing Bai Dalin's collar, she said fiercely, "You eat my mother's food, live in my mother's house, and even married a young widow to abuse my mother's children. Aren't you ruthless? You're not even human, Bai Dalin!"
Bai Nuo spat on the ground before looking up at Bai Dalin. "You think I'm ruthless? Fine, I'll show you how ruthless I am today! Brothers, this man eats my mother's food, lives in my mother's house, and abuses us. He beat us up for a few pearls that we don't even know where they came from, and then kicked us out of this dilapidated house. He didn't even leave us my mother's dowry. If any of you are willing to help me get my mother's dowry back today, I'm willing to give him half!"
