Zhuang Xiong returned from outside and told He Ci what he had found out.
"Those gangsters are looking for you everywhere. What are we going to do next? It seems like Raven and his gang have come too."
He Ci stood on the balcony looking down. After arriving in the port city, many of his memories had become blurry remnants.
"We'll turn the tables on them. Crow and his gang will go all out. Su Ning can't die before I regain my memories."
He Ci was afraid he would regret it. Recently, the woman's face in his dreams had become clearer and clearer. He Ci touched his heart and felt a little breathless.
That evening, Ali, Arang, and Cui Ying burst into the room, where He Ci was sitting on the sofa, smoking.
"They arrived pretty quickly?"
Ali searched for He Ci for three years. When he saw that He Ci was safe and sound, his eyes reddened. Not only He Ci, but also A Rang and Cui Ying were there.
"Young Master He, we're not here to arrest you. Madam wants you to come home."
Arang didn't want to see the couple fight, nor did he want to get into a physical altercation with He Ci.
Seeing that he was unmoved, Cui Ying thought for a moment and decided to test him to see if He Ci had really lost his memory or if he had some kind of trouble.
“Young Master He, if you don’t go back soon, your wife will fall in love with someone else. If I hadn’t been keeping a close eye on her these past three years, Bai Yi would have already stolen her away.”
He Ci's eyes flickered. "Was she and I really husband and wife? Why did I see my wife's tombstone in the cemetery?"
Su Ning had long guessed that He Ci might not go back with them, so she gave the marriage certificate to A Rang in advance, and now was the time to take it out.
Arrang placed a small red booklet in front of He Ci, the words "Marriage Certificate" on it shining brightly.
“Young Master He, Madam said that if you don’t go back, she will show you this.”
He Ci opened the marriage certificate, which showed a man and a woman smiling happily. The man was Su Ning, and both of them had happy smiles on their faces.
He Ci reached out and touched the photo on it, his pupils filled with emotions that few could understand.
Let's go!
He Ci didn't return the marriage certificate to A Rang, but instead put it in his pocket. Zhuang Xiong quickly packed their luggage and followed He Ci back.
The car was surrounded by a large entourage, making Zhuang Xiong's eyes widen in amazement. Was this the treatment a prince received? He had indeed benefited from it today.
Soon the car arrived at the He family's old residence. A-Rang opened the car door, and He Ci stepped out. Su Ning had received the news half an hour earlier.
Their eyes met, and Su Ning wanted to get closer but stopped herself. He Ci probably still wanted to kill her.
A look of disappointment flashed in He Ci's eyes. He thought...
Su Ning stood less than two meters away from him, her face no longer showing the tenderness of before, but instead filled with vicissitudes and resilience.
"You're back! Come in quickly!"
He Ci clenched his fists, suppressing his impulse, and then strode past Su Ning to walk ahead.
As they brushed past each other, Su Ning's tears fell. She wanted to stand up for herself and promised not to cry, but seeing He Ci's attitude, all of Su Ning's grievances welled up.
He Ci didn't miss the grievance on Su Ning's face and that tear, and he quickened his pace.
Su Ning looked back at He Ci's back and pondered for a moment. If he hadn't lost his memory, why did he still remember the way home?
The old house was very large, and it was easy to get lost without someone to guide you. He Ci's familiarity with the place aroused Su Ning's suspicion.
He Ci arrived in the hall, where the food was already prepared, all of which were his favorite dishes. Su Ning walked over and sat down opposite He Ci.
"Old... Brother Ci, let's eat."
Su Ning almost blurted out "husband," but she didn't know what He Ci was up to! Her intuition told her that He Ci was hiding something from her.
