Shi Jinzhe found Shehe's words incredibly cute, and regretted that he was driving and couldn't pull her close. "I think I'm liking you more and more."
"Me too."
Schech took two chocolates from the cup holder, put one in his own mouth, and handed the other to Shijin's lips.
There aren't many commercial areas near this residential area, so Shi Jinzhe drove the car towards the city center.
The April breeze was refreshing, and even after nine o'clock, the metropolis was still bustling with people. Passing by the food street where he had eaten last time, Sher noticed some strange stalls on the roadside.
Taking advantage of a red light, she asked Shi Jinzhe, "What's that?"
"It seems to be..." Shi Jinzhe thought for a long time about the corresponding word for this thing, but couldn't remember it.
He knew about this thing; it was commonly seen on the roadside in the summer evenings. People would use rings to catch small trinkets on the roadside, or use darts or guns to shoot at balloons. He had seen it many times, but since he had never played with it, he couldn't think of a suitable name for it.
"Ring toss? Maybe that's it. Do you want to play? Should I turn around?"
"I want to play."
Less than 30 meters from the food street, on a sidewalk, the owner, covered in balloons, held a plate of grilled cold noodles, enjoying the breeze while waiting for customers.
Seeing a luxury car parked on the side of the road in front of his stall, he wondered how he could see such an expensive car in a place like this.
To his surprise, the car owner got out and went straight to his stall.
The stall owner put down the food he was holding, wiped his mouth, and asked, "Gentlemen, would you like to play with balloons?"
I glanced at the price written on the white cardstock: thirty dollars for twenty shots.
He picked up a toy gun and handed it to Shekh, then told the stall owner, "She shoots first, and we'll settle the payment when she's done."
The stall owner was happy and didn't even ask if Shekh could see it, as long as he paid.
How many shots can a blind person hit? He's just playing around. This guy is obviously a rich man taking his girlfriend out to experience life.
He wasn't worried about Shi Jin skipping out on his bill. There were several balloon shops around, and if he didn't fight for it, he'd be throwing money away to them. Besides, people started coming over to take pictures in the two minutes his car was parked there; maybe he could even get some business from them.
The stall owner, thinking to himself, also gave Shi Jinzhe a handful: "Boss, you can play around with it too."
"No need, just pop a few more balloons."
Before the stall owner could understand what he meant, the sound of a toy gun rang out from the other side.
Shot after shot, each one hitting its mark, and soon the entire circle of balloons was emptied by Shekh.
The stall owner was dumbfounded.
Is he blind or what?
What's going on here?
Shekh switched guns and fired into an entire wall, then put down his gun and reminded the stall owner, "Fill it with balloons."
"Oh, oh." The stall owner put the balloons he had prepared in advance on the stall, but one balloon after another was not placed.
When the stock ran out, he had to pump air pumps on the spot. The pumps were almost sparking, but he didn't put them on the screen. He would just pump one and throw it into the air, then pump one air pump at a time, without waiting for any time.
The beautiful woman, blindfolded with a ribbon, was incredibly accurate with every shot, attracting the attention of passersby. Gradually, more and more people stopped in front of her stall.
As more and more people gathered around, Shekh turned to look at Shi Jinzhe.
"Keep playing if you want, it's fine."
Even if players recognize him, it doesn't matter. He and Shekh are about to move to the artificial island, where the management will be very strict.
Even if he lives in a busy downtown area, if someone wants revenge, he can take someone's life without them even realizing it, and he won't be bothered if someone comes knocking on his door.
Shi Jinzhe then handed her a toy gun, saying, "Play with it until you're done."
"Then I'll continue."
After a few rounds, Shekh was having a good time and reached out to grab Shi Jinzhe's broken arm. "Do you want to play? It's a lot of fun."
"No need, please pay the bill."
He has enough guns in the game to fight, so he really doesn't care about this.
The stall owner glanced at the onlookers, happily collecting money, and kept giving Shehe a thumbs-up, insisting on giving her an extra doll.
That's so inspiring! I'll tell my daughter, who doesn't study hard, about this when I get home, to motivate her.
Shekh didn't want the dolls; she wasn't interested in them. She simply wanted to experience things she hadn't played with before.
Seeing this, the stall owner simply gave the two of them twenty rings to play with.
Twenty in total. When Schech handed them out, he folded each one in half. The plastic rings were elastic and would bounce back. The two of them managed to do it perfectly, hitting the target every time. The stall owner regretted it so much that he wanted to slap himself.
To his relief, they didn't need or want the items in the package; they were just playing around.
After happily seeing off the two big customers, the stall owner saw Shi Jinzhe and Shehe enter the food street and casually remarked, "They're so down-to-earth."
On the colorful food street, Sher held a glass of juice, her eyes filled with all kinds of delicious food, giving her a sense of satisfaction even before she had a bite to eat.
Shi Jinzhe found a shop with outdoor seating and sat down, wiping the stool over for Shehe to sit on.
"You like it here so much? I thought you wouldn't want to come back a second time because it's so crowded."
"There are many delicious foods here."
The allure of the delicious food outweighed Shekh's impatience with the crowds; as long as they didn't bother her, none of that mattered.
She's gotten used to the comings and goings of people and is trying to enjoy this kind of life.
Shech tapped the empty glass with her fingernail: "Could you buy me another glass of this juice? I'd like mango."
"Then wait a while, don't wander around, just sit here and wait for me. Call me if you have any trouble, I'll be right back."
Shekh agreed, but after giving her instructions, she went out and came back to sit down less than half a minute later.
"So fast?"
“I didn’t go. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving you here alone. It would be a waste of money to have someone run an errand for me.” Shi Jinzhe believed that Shehe could keep her promise, but he didn’t trust anyone else.
There are several tables next door where people are drinking and bragging. His car, which he parked outside, has become the property of one of those people. What if he gets drunk and sees a girl sitting here, and then, without thinking, comes up to cause trouble?
He couldn't very well tell Sheikh to be patient; it was safest for him to stay with her himself.
Shekh looked himself over: "What are you worried about me for?"
“There are a few drunkards outside. I'll stay here with you. Ask someone to help you buy things.”
"But I want to eat a lot..."
"It's just running an errand, I'm not short of money." Shi Jinzhe found the shop owner and asked him to help call a few more people over.
Shekh waited quietly for his food, and only asked after the errand runners had left, "Are you worried someone might cause me trouble, so I'll cook..."
"I'm afraid that you won't be able to vent your anger properly so as not to cause me trouble."
At the square dining table, Shi Jinzhe pulled his chair to the same side as Shehe, closer to her. "People with bad drinking habits who get drunk easily are the most troublesome, and what we need to do is stay away from trouble."
Shekh turned and looked at the shop next door. A group of people, their faces flushed and reeking of alcohol, were arguing about something, each one louder than the last, even slamming their fists on the table.
