Chapter 117 Daily Life

Xu Yan originally wanted to go and see what was going on, but when she saw Xiao Shuanzi leading her two little brats towards the lively area, she couldn't help but twitch her lips.

Genetics is a really mysterious thing.

Li Aihua loves to join in the fun, and Xiao Shuanzi is just like his mother.

Basically, people flock to wherever there are many people.

When Xu Yan stopped him, he was holding Da Bao's hand with his left hand and Xiao Bao's hand with his right, and was running towards that direction with his two short legs.

"Where are you going?" Xu Yan stood in front of them.

"Third Aunt," Xiao Bao looked up at Xu Yan, then pulled his hand back and ran over to hug Xu Yan's leg.

He never liked crowds, and he rarely talked to anyone except Da Bao. Recently, he's gotten quite familiar with Xiao Shuanzi and they're getting along very well.

But any more than that would be too much for me.

Just as I was wondering how to get home, I saw Xu Yan standing at the gate.

"Let's go over there!" Da Bao jumped up excitedly. "Xiao Shuanzi said there are bad guys, and we're just about to go protect our Qingshan Brigade!"

"Hey," before Xu Yan could even speak, Liu Mancang grinned and ruffled Da Bao's hair, "You're such a good nephew!"

His voice wasn't quiet, and Da Bao's smile widened even more after he spoke.

Xiao Bao, probably used to following Da Bao and chiming in, almost couldn't help but say he wanted to go with them to "Save Qingshan Brigade".

"Third Sister-in-law, I'll take them to see," Liu Mancang said. "It's alright, we won't get involved, we'll just take a look from afar."

After saying that, she glanced at Xiaobao again, "Xiaobao, are you going?"

Xiao Bao shook his head, his hands gripping Xu Yan's clothes tightly.

Xu Yan knew that Liu Mancang and Xie Zhuo had a good relationship and were also from the village, so she let them go and spent the afternoon at home reading with Xiao Bao.

When Xu Yan took Xiao Bao out to pick vegetables in their private plot in the afternoon, she heard that two groups of people had caused a huge commotion that afternoon, and that the captain had said he was going to report it to the police station in the city. Only then did Wang Chao leave with those people.

"It seems we need to be more careful."

Xu Yan leaned against the side and watched Xie Zhuo wash his face.

“Yes, I went to Lao He’s place today and talked to him,” Xie Zhuo said, wiping himself with a towel. “We’re not doing any repairs for now. We’ll talk about it again when things are a bit easier.”

Xie Zhuo placed the towel on the washbasin stand, leaned over, and kissed Xu Yan on the lips.

What would you like to eat this afternoon?

“You’ll eat whatever you make,” Xu Yan said.

Perhaps because of the close physical contact last night, the two of them no longer have any boundaries when it comes to touching each other, and the atmosphere has become more ambiguous.

Xie Zhuo lifted his eyelids and his gaze briefly met Xu Yan's. He had deep-set eyes and thin eyelids, and when he stared at someone without blinking, his gaze carried a sharp, possessive quality.

Xu Yan took a shallow breath.

Unexpectedly, the scene from last night came to mind: Xie Zhuo cupped her face and coaxed her to look down.

The warm and refreshing scent seemed to have a physical form.

As she lowered her eyes, her eyes red, he suddenly thrust them in.

The flower stamens were instantly damp.

Looking at her expression, Xie Zhuo's voice became hoarse and a little sore.

They take turns calling her "Yanyan" and "Baby".

"What are you thinking about?" Xie Zhuo's hand, still chilled from being soaked in cold water, sent shivers down Xu Yan's spine when it touched her neck.

"It's nothing," Xu Yan replied quickly.

Between Xie Zhuo's slightly raised eyebrows, she raised her hand and nudged him.

Xie Zhuo didn't move.

He stared at her intently for a while before taking a step back.

She laughed, "You said before that after we got married you could eat whatever you wanted, but it's only been a few days and you're already eating whatever I cook."

"I was just saying that casually," Xu Yan said. After she finished speaking, she heard Da Bao and Xiao Bao running into the yard laughing. She then nudged Xie Zhuo and said, "Hurry up, the children are waiting for dinner."

Xie Zhuo didn't say much this time, nor did he try to get closer to Xu Yan.

cough……

The main concern is that if I get too close, I might lose control and do something else.

Another important reason why he didn't bring the radio back to be repaired this afternoon was because of Xu Yan.

Now, whenever he sees her, he wants to go over and hug and kiss her.

"Third Uncle!" Da Bao called out from the courtyard.

Her voice was sweet and clear, quite melodious.

"Yes," Xie Zhuo replied from the kitchen.

Equally loud.

Xu Yan twitched his lips and rubbed his ear with a hint of helplessness.

“I went to the mountains today,” Da Bao ran into the kitchen, “with Xiao Shuanzi and Uncle Mancang, to protect our Qingshan Brigade.”

"Wow," Xie Zhuo took the wild vegetables that Xu Yan had washed and put them into the pot to blanch. Hearing this, he turned his head and glanced at him. "Wow, that's amazing!"

“Hmm,” Da Bao tilted his head back with a hint of pride.

"Impressive, impressive," Xie Zhu praised again, then, seeing that the fire in the stove was almost out, he lightly flicked his head. "If you add some more firewood for your third uncle, you'll be even more impressive."

Da Bao smiled and bent down to add firewood.

Xu Yan really liked the way Xie Zhuo and Da Bao and Xiao Bao spoke to each other, as well as the little things they did together.

There's an indescribable sense of ease, relaxation, and comfort.

In her previous life, she hardly ever lived with her parents. Her only memory of them was when she came home from school and wanted to share the fun things that happened at school with them, but they impatiently said they were busy.

Her father almost never smiled at her, and the house was always quiet.

Occasionally, when she laughs out loud while watching cartoons, you can see her dad's brows furrow.

"Third Uncle," Xiao Bao walked over and hugged Xie Zhuo's leg, rubbing his face against Xie Zhuo's pants.
