Chapter 127 I Love You

Xie Zhuo didn't say anything, but his actions showed that he was determined to play this scoundrel.

He stepped back slightly, then grabbed Xu Yan's hand and, while kissing the corner of her lips, pressed her hand against his lower abdomen.

"You," Xu Yan wanted to say something more.

But as soon as she opened her mouth, Xie Zhuo's warm breath slid directly into her mouth.

All words were shut down.

Xie Zhuo led her to move faster and faster.

By the time it was all over, her face was flushed as if she had applied blush, and her lips were a little swollen.

She collapsed onto Xie Zhuo, her legs too weak to move.

It took her several minutes to lift her eyelids and stare at Xie Zhuo.

"Hmm?" Xie Zhuo looked at her.

He looked languid, his fingertips idly tracing patterns on Xu Yan's calf, then slowly moving upwards, attempting to slide back to the starting point.

Xu Yan shuddered again.

He quickly blocked his way with his hand.

Her large eyes were still a little watery and...accusatory.

Her long hair was disheveled and draped over her shoulders, and the corners of her eyes and the tip of her nose were slightly red, as if she had just been crying.

"Do you even know what shame is?" Xu Yan glared at Xie Zhuo.

Xie Zhuo raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

Xu Yan: "..."

It's normal that you don't know, since you don't have that thing anymore!

“All I know is that you are my wife,” Xie Zhuo said, and before Xu Yan could speak, he raised his head and touched the corner of her lips. “I love you.”

Xu Yan's movements suddenly froze.

She looked at Xie Zhuo.

Xie Zhuo stared intently at her.

When Xu Yan finished getting ready and went outside, she found that it was indeed raining, though the rain was light, just a drizzle.

It carried a slight chill when it landed on people's faces.

That's how it is in the mountains; it's very hot when the sun is out, but as soon as it starts to rain, the temperature drops rapidly.

Da Bao and Xiao Bao, the two little rascals, love the rain. They ran out into the yard to play in the rain wearing only short-sleeved shirts. When Xie Zhuo saw them, he immediately carried them inside and put a jacket on them before letting them go out to play again.

When Xiao Shuanzi knocked on the door, they had just finished breakfast. Upon hearing the knock, Da Bao put down his bowl and chopsticks and ran to open the door.

It's raining today, so they ate their meal in the kitchen.

"Look at my raincoat!" As soon as Xiao Shuanzi entered the yard, he showed Da Bao the burlap sack he was wearing.

“Ah,” Da Bao looked at him.

“It can keep out the rain,” Xiao Shuanzi said.

“But, it’s just a light rain, there’s no need to take precautions,” Xiao Bao ran out, looked up at the sky, and then looked at him.

“You don’t understand. My mom says that even in such a light rain, you can get sick if you stay in the rain for too long,” Xiao Shuanzi said. “If I had this raincoat, I wouldn’t get sick!”

As he spoke, he touched the sack on his head, then looked at Da Bao and Xiao Bao, "If you two want one, I can get one for you."

Da Bao and Xiao Bao stared at the burlap sack still covered in straw on his head and shook their heads in unison.

Xiao Shuanzi was very disappointed.

As the three of them ran outside together, they tried to "sell" the product again, but Da Bao and Xiao Bao still refused.

Xu Yan stood at the kitchen door and found it amusing. Xie Zhuo, after washing his hands, saw her smile, reached out, pinched her chin, leaned in and kissed her before leaving.

When Liu Mancang left yesterday morning, he said that if it was still cloudy today, they should go for a walk in the mountains together.

Xie Zhuo thought it had been a long time since he had gone into the mountains with Wang Chao and Zhao Jisheng, so he agreed. It would be a good opportunity to see what kind of mess Wang Chao and his gang had made of the mountains.

After carrying a basket on his back and waiting outside for a short while, Liu Mancang came running and stumbling, his face beaming with undisguised joy.

It was as if the group of people went to the mountains for a spring outing.

The deadline has passed.

It's almost the beginning of autumn.

After Xie Zhuo left, Xu Yan tidied up the house and then continued reading.

When the commotion outside started, she was just about to put down her book and rest for a while when she heard the noise and went out to find out that it was Qin Li and Granny Qian.

The educated youth settlement has been much quieter lately. They don't go to work and just stay in their dormitories doing who knows what.

This was the first time Xu Yan had seen Qin Li since her parents passed away.

Although Qin Li wasn't particularly beautiful, she was very clean and always kept herself neat and tidy. Plus, as a sent-down youth, she was educated, so she looked prettier than most of the girls in the village.

at this time……

She was being pulled along by Granny Qian, her clothes were a mess, her clothes were covered in dirt, and her expression was terrible.

“Hey Aunt Qian,” Li Aihua shouted through the crowd, “what’s this all about now?”

Granny Qian probably knew that she and Xu Yan were close, so she glared at her but didn't say anything.

Seeing her like this, the other onlookers went to ask Qin Li.

"Little Qin, what's wrong with you?"

"Why is Old Lady Qian pulling you? Speak up! Is she bullying you? I'll stand up for you!"

Someone who didn't get along with Granny Qian shouted.

Unfortunately, Qin Li didn't say a word the whole time; her expression was very unpleasant and resistant, and she didn't even cry.

Xu Yan remembered that this educated youth was a crybaby; he would cry for half a day after being yelled at by Song Guangming.

"Hey, Aunt Qian," someone was getting impatient because they hadn't gotten any juicy gossip, "Are you mute? Say something, are you trying to drive me crazy?"

Qian Yingxiu then glanced at her out of the corner of her eye.

"Speak!" the man shouted, almost jumping up and down in his impatience.

Granny Qian smiled, and the wrinkles on her old face immediately gathered together. "From now on, Little Qin, the educated youth, will be our Zhuzi's wife."

"What?"

Who are you talking about?

Some, always eager for drama, asked, "Is it true? When are they having the banquet?"

“No banquet,” Granny Qian said. “Family members will be enough to witness this.”

The crowd fell silent for a moment, then looked at Qin Li with a more scrutinizing gaze.

No banquet?

"How much did you give as a bride price?" Li Aihua asked.

Speaking of this, Granny Qian snorted, glanced at Qin Li's face again, and said, "Two hundred yuan."

Upon hearing her words, the crowd fell silent once more.

Two hundred yuan?

How could Wang Ermazi's family, who barely have enough to eat, possibly come up with so much money?

Since everyone was free on a rainy day, and Granny Qian didn't try to hide from people, she walked very conspicuously with Qin Li along the main road. So when they arrived at Xu Yan's house, half the village had already come out to watch the excitement.

Xu Yan didn't squeeze through; she just stood at the main entrance.

Unexpectedly, Qin Li suddenly turned her head and looked at her as she passed by.

Xu Yan raised an eyebrow.

Then, Qin Li suddenly broke free from Granny Qian's hand and pounced towards her. She was very fast, and an old woman on her right was knocked to the ground.

Xu Yan was still a little confused, but she reacted quickly. Before Qin Li knelt down in front of her, she took a step and moved to her side.

She didn't make Qin Li kneel down directly.
